What users are saying:
horrible work conditions and environment
by myluv
I worked for MHC for 2 1/2 months before deciding to hand in my resignation. Many of the consumers are disrespectful, unable to locate, and uncompliant. The caseloads are stressful and there is little to no remorse from the team members and supervisor. The employees and consumers share the same bathrooms, coffee pots, refrigerators, and car space. However, it is a great place to work if you don't mind putting the homeless, convicted felons, persons with no hygiene practices, and re-occurring A/D abusers in your vehicle and visiting them 2xs/mo. at their residence unprotected.
New Employment Orientation is 2wks.- 1wk longer b/c of the high turnover
You either will LOVE it or HATE it! #### On a good note, this job is a great starting point for experience. The dress code is cool- casual and comfortable. No shorts, tanks, plunging neck lines, flip flops, and thong sandles.
Many of the staff members are nice and helpful
You will learn a lot about the court system, crisis intervention/prevention, medical terminologies, diagnoses, and gain a plethora of knowledge of the social service agencies geared toward helping the mentally ill and homeless.
Hope this is helpful, good luck and God bless!
- Pros: flexible hours
- Cons: unclean and unsafe working environment
