User Reviews for Harpeth Hills Golf Course

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

Harpeth Hills is a great golf course! Here is a review that will actually be helpful and not mad cause someone could not get a tee time. Harpeth Hills is the top rated golf course in Metro Parks. Therefore, in order to get a tee time on a Thurs, Fri, Sat, or Sun it is best to call a week in advance. The slots fill up fast! (A lesson I had to learn...) The greens are nicely kept, and you get to see deer and wild turkey! Also, check out those consession girls.... they are hot!!!!

Pros: hard course, inexpensive, friendly staff

Cons: tee times fill up fast

Fabulous golf course! Over the past few years, the management has strived to improove the staff performance. #1 problem is that they can't meet the demand for play. The course stays full and the fact that tee times are hard to get, must be a testament of course conditions and the friendly staff.

Pros: Staff , Course conditions, convenience

Cons: Too much demand!

I have played a lot of courses, and I will be honest, Harpeth Hills is a great little course, however, I have stopped going there because of the staff. They treat you like crap. And it is not just one employee that does this, all of them do. Horrible place.

Pros: Challenging course

Cons: Rude, nasty Staff

I agree with the other reviews about the terrible staff at Harpeth Hills! While the course is generaly in good shape, the interaction with the staff is the worst I have EVER experienced. Most of the STAFF members usually come across as extremely RUDE and ARROGANT. They treat you as though they are running an exclusive members only club and they have cought you sneaking on to play.

Pros: Inexpensive, Decent for the money

Cons: , Crowded, Poor Greens

Great course that is kept up very well, and is somewhat challenging. But the staff will make you want to never return. Very rude, bossy and pushy. Their starters are unbelievably rude, and demanding. Its a shame that a great course has to be ruined by an older staff who think that they run a private country club back in the 70's.

Pros: nicely manicured, Very open course, quick play

Cons: Staff, Staff, Staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pissy civil servants running the pro shop detract from the Harpeth Hills experience. The course is long, difficult and well maintained. It is well planned, unlike many of today's courses carved from hillsides (see Through the Green Joelton, Pebble Brook and Country Hills). Get past the arrogance of the clubhouse and starter at Harepth and you will have a good round.

Harpeth Hills isn't as easy as it looks. Some pin placements are extremely difficult and its a much easier course if you stay in the fairway. If you have a slice or a hook...you may want to practice before you play. They have a good practice range, and two practice greens. The people are friendly.

Pros: Inexpensive, Good Value, Challenging

Cons: Illegal pinplacements

Yep..the course is pretty good...probably the best in town but you'll have to get past the starter and the other 200 older guys that set up the same tee time everyweek for the past 10 years! Good luck in trying to get on Saturday or Sunday.

Pros: greens, fairways, cost

Cons: starters

To the person who just presented that most informed editorial. Harpeth Hills Golf Course is not in Brentwood or Williamson County for that matter. And why would anybody want to live in Brentwood or pretend that they did? Harpeth Hills is a great course. McCabe is probably a better course. However, Harpeth Hills is one I can get too easily from my house and enjoy golf without the headaches that McCabe usually presents.

just because you are located in brentwood does not mean you are country club or are in any way associated with the residents. The staff is totally worthless. you feel as if you have been priveledged to even walk through the door much less play there. I'm sorry but the metro parks staff is not hootie johnson and the augusta employees. don't do me any favors. I'll go to ted rhodes which is better kept and they appreciate your business. As far as the best in Nashville, you can't even compare to Hermitage Golf course. The old course is immaculate ALWAYS and the Presidents Reserve is like a round in South Carolina. The staff and facilities are unmatched anywhere. Fair test of golf.

Pros: adequate parking, driving range

Cons: staff, staff, staff

Editor's Review

Well-maintained Metro Parks golf course near Williamson County offers 18 holes over 6,880 yards. Also has a pro shop.  See the full editorial review.
