A few weeks ago I was standing in a restaurant and the heel popped off of one of my very expensive boots. I was nervous about taking it in to get repaired, but Model Shoe Rebuilders did an excellent job. My boot looks like new again. I also took another 4 pairs in for new taps and they look great also. It has been about a month and everything is still in good shape. I will definitely return here the next time I have a shoe emergency!
Pros: Good quality work
Cons: Language barrier with the owner. He apparently understood me though.

I took in a pair of slingback heels that I feared were beyond repair - the heels, toes, soles and leather were completely trashed. The friendly lady at the counter went through the problems with me and gave me a price, which was reasonable, considering the extent of the repairs needed. The shoes were ready just a few days later, and I was thrilled to get them back in excellent, like-new condition. They really worked a miracle on these. I highly recommend them!

I took 6 pairs of shoes and boots into Model Shoe on a Monday and they were completed by Wednesday. The owner was very courteous and even took the price of one of the shines out of my total because he had not been able to make them look like new since they were a light color leather. I will use them again, however, I wish they were open on Saturdays.
