Best place in town folks.....hands down!!!!

For wax services use Gina!!!!! Especially brows! Use Carmen for make-up. She's the best!!! She does the best make-up for your special events. This a great place to get high end and hard to get products. Honestly, I have gone in there numerous times in sweat pants, no make-up, hair messed up from working out....a hot mess. Honestly, I have never been treated in a rude manner. You may have all of the ladies helping someone at the moment, but the customer service is great from what I have experienced. This may not be NY City or Begdorf Goodman's, but if you want to know what store's like that are using then this is the place to come to. Linda makes sure she is up to date on the BEST products. Woo is great, but they don't offer half of the products this store does. Hope this helps...... :)

Located in the same shopping center as Nicole Miller, Private Edition is more of a cosmopolitan cosmetics boutique than spa. Limited space makes the front crowded with folks shopping for Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier, La Mer and Therapy Systems Color from the spa's sister store in the Mall at Green Hills. But, makeup applications and consultations are available, as is a full spa menu that includes massages, body treatments, facials and sunless tanning.

Caring service, very helpful

When I started college in Nashville 7 years ago, my face went from clear to terrible. I purchased a product that I thought would be the best, but ended up allergic to it. When I came back in they let me return it, no questions asked, and proceded to help me find a product that did work for my face. These ladies were extremely helpful and made sure that I was taken care of.

My experience has been generally positive for a long time. I can see how this place could intimidate somebody more familiar with department store cosmetic counters - lots of pretty and high-priced products in a tasteful setting - no Clinique counter here. They have treated me as I wanted: expedient if I was in a rush (often), and helpful in explaining products when I needed information. The Therapy Systems loyalty card is pretty generous. I was treated with the same respect when I wore jeans and muddy work boots as when I shopped in a skirt and jacket. Don't know about the spa services, but may try them next.

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC!!!

I can't believe the rude reviews I've read about Private Edition. I shop here frequently and I am always greeted by someone, even if they are busy with another customer. I always receive OUTSTANDING service!! It sounds like these other people have bad attitudes and would probably not be pleased no matter what. Most of the sales staff and aestheticians have been there a very long time so that says a lot more about their professionalism and expertise than someone who is angry because she didn't get her lip gloss fast enough. It is really nice to go into a store where you see the same faces year after year. It makes me feel confident that I am getting good advice about all of the products. Try finding that at any makeup counter, I don't care if it is New York. These women are all very knowledgeable and extremely classy!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Don't Bother !!!!!

The attitude these losers who call themselves "salespeople" would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic. I've got a newsflash for them.......in case you haven't noticed, this is NOT New York, and you are certainly NOT Bergdorf Goodman! Even if you were, your behavior would still not be excusable. As it is that you are in NASHVILLE, it is beyond pathetic.....while the selection of merchandise is somewhat exclusive (for the Nashville market)....it is nothing special considering your online options. As someone who spent many hours and many tens of thousands of dollars there over the years (when they were just a one-counter wonder at Jamie, then their shop at Bandywood.....anyone else remember?), I gave up on their poor customer service and flimsy facade of civility long ago. They give retail and those who work in that field a bad name. They need to GROW UP and get OVER THEMSELVES!

All the best labels here that I LOVE - Laura Mercier, Kiehl's, Bumble & Bumble....I could go on and on...I agree with the last reviewier - what kind of attitude do you go in with when shopping there? I am usually laid-back, in jeans, and just plain friendly. Sometimes I know exactly what I need, sometimes I don't. When I ask for help, I get it. If I am browsing for fun, they get it and let me take my time.

To all of those who have claimed to have experienced rude sales associates at PE, please consider the attitudes you might have projected when shopping. I have found all of their employees, particularly Gina and Jan, to be respectful, professional, and classy. Gina does the best brow wax I've ever had, and the ladies in the cosmetics shop are knowledgeable about their products and always have great suggestions. Then again, I always go in with a relaxed, confident, respectful demeanor and I will continue to frequent the store even though I'm far from wealthy.

Disappointed

When I went into Private Edition for a facial recently, I was so excited. However, afterwards, it took over a month for my skin to clear up. The glycolic peel made my skin react in a not-so-nice way, so be careful. I will try another salon next time.

Great Products, Great People

I have been shopping at Private Edition for over 14 years. They have always been one of the only places in Nashville to get great upscale products. But I must also say that their service has been even better. I have been there with an unlimited budget and a shoe string budget. There was never any difference of treatment. I have found that many people have a different theory of Customer Service and based on their own insecurities and "fluctuating" moods, they decide that someone isn't giving them their "propers." I was disappointed to find that the thousands of happy customers of Private Edition are letting a few disgruntled human beings cloud the perception of this wonderful boutique. I hope they last for a long time in Nashville. We need it! Kudos to PE and if you need expert advice and a professional facial, Private Edition is where you go!
