It's easy and convenient, but here are the issues I had: 1. Visibly uneven seams in pants 2. "bumps" left after a skirt being taken in. 3. Being told rudely by an employee (Beverly) it was due to the skirt being too tight until I pointed out it was there when the skirt it handing on a hanger. 5. The "fix" making the skirt essentially unwearable - multiple bumps on seam! 6. Being told they can't give a refund and that the bumps can't be fixed. 7. No manager to speak to at the store, region, etc. 8. Being given a "supervisor" name on sticky note, with no last name, title, etc. 9. Watching 2 other people come in with issues in alterations and going through the same thing I was with Beverly. Long Story: Stitch It at Ridgedale Mall managed to hem 2 pairs of pants with visibly, obviously uneven seams and when taking in a skirt, left multiple "bumps" in the hem where their alterations ended! They were willing to fix it only after Beverly (an employee) rudely suggesting that the skirt was too tight, then that it could be steamed out, and finally I had to show them that the bump was there when the skirt was hanging up. The second "fix" job was even worse than the first, done by Beverly. She then told me it was an issue with the fabric and nothing could be done . . . When I replied, "if I had been told that at first, I would have bought a new skirt rather than spending almost $45 to ruin my skirt." She continued to be rude and unhelpful. When I asked for a manager, she said there was none and no one else to talk to. After asking again, she gave me the cell phone for a "Mitch".

I absolutely LOVE this business, and ALL the people that work there. I am one of those people that has to have EVERYTHING altered...and I mean everything...so I am constantly in this store! I go to Stitch It more than I go to the grocery! I can't tell you how many times I have bought something, took it to Stitch It and asked THEM if I should keep it. Like a lot of women, I am small from the waist up, and larger from the waist down. With a lot of dresses and tops I have to buy a larger size so that it will fit loosely around the hips, but then I have to have the top taken in so it doesn't hang on me. Together, Maggie and I have basically custom made my entire wordrobe...everything from bluejeans to formal wear. I would NEVER trust anyone else again with my clothes. The workmanship is ALWAYS perfect and they can be really creative when they need to be. The person who said she didn't think the people were nice, must not be very nice herself because I have SEEN them deal with some nightmare customers and NEVER be ANYTHING but polite...no matter how rude, pompous, demanding, or just plain stupid the customer is. This is my favorite store in Nashville...Period.
Pros: Best workmanship and best "turn-a-round" time
Cons: None

Being a person who has spent much time and money investing in alterations of clothing (I'm one of those yo-yo dieters), I can truly say without hesitation, Stitch It Alterations, is a hospitable and dependable business which produces quality work. The face of any business is represented by the people who greet you upon arrival. Stitch It employees are always smiling and cheerful; they make me feel at home. Also, I trust their recommendations and suggestions. (Alterations are greek to me, so I need lots of advice!) Additionally, the turn around time to complete alterations is exceptional--one to two days is the norm, and in today's fast paced world of "hurry up and wait" this is indeed commendable. The finished product always speaks for itself--it's sewn neatly and well pressed. When I put it on, it fits perfectly. What more could you ask for? I have used many other alterations companies and have had to endure the aggrevation of having to return my clothing because of hems which were uneven, seams which were not completely sewn, or directions which were given that were not followed. Who has time for that? Take it from me--take your clothing to Stitch It , and get it done right the first time!

I can't begin to say how great my experience was at Stitch-It Alterations. I had a bridesmaid dress that was a disaster, I was not hopeful that anything could be done. I was under a time crunch and a friend recommended Stitch-It. She told me they were miricle workers and she was right. They assured me they could make it work and calmed my fears by telling me not to worry. Their kindness and great customer service was above and beyond the call. Two days later they called to tell me my dress was ready and recommended I come and try it on to see if we needed further adjustments. It was perfect! They truly worked a miricle. Thank you all my new friends at Stitch-it, I will sing your praises.

I have had several alterations done at Stitch It and they do an ok job. I have no complaints about their work. But my #1 pet peeve of ALL TIME is to be treated rudely by someone, especially when I am paying my hard earned money for a service they provide. There is just no excuse for it. I realize these people have repeat customers with or without putting a smile on their faces or saying thank you, but really, is it too much to ask??? I basically felt that I was interrupting the two ladies chatting behind the counter when I walked in. They were pouring over a magazine together and didn't even look up when I walked in. Hellleeeew? Then, I received a call the next day saying my clothes were ready (next day...pretty impressive I must say!), and the call went like this: (Me) Hello? (Stitch It) This is Stitch It, your clothes are ready (Me) Oh!! Thank you!! WOW that was fast! (Stitch It) << click >> She hung up! No "Goodbye", No "thank you"? No "You're welcome"? Really? Is that necessary?? C'mon Ladies...we are in the South, that's not how we do things. Green Hills IS still in the South isn't it? I'm beginning to wonder!
Pros: Quick, good quality
Cons: VERY RUDE service

I was disappointed with the alteration work done at Stitch-It. After a $300 bill the alterations were done sloppily. After returning for re-altering (hours are 9-5 M-F - not covenient- no appointments accepted) per company policy, they said the items were not tailored properly and presented an extra $150 bill. I was treated poorly by the employees, and the owner was disinterested in my comments about the experience, but did give me a refund - saying I had "assumed too much" by thinking my tailoring would be done properly. No pricing list, so definitely ask what the charge is before leaving items - Many seem surprised with their bills! I will not use them again based on this experience. I did recommend Stitch-It to others but will not do so in the future.
Pros: conveniently located, good parking, fast
Cons: expensive, rude, poor workmanship
