Muffins are amazing!
by AlishaM at Citysearch
I went in there waiting for a movie to start at Green hills and bought the apple cinnamon and blueberry bran muffins thinking they wouldn't be so great. but i was completely wrong!! they were soooo good, so good that i've called to have put some on hold and have driven all the way from madison for them. not too sure on the donuts though they never seem to have any whenever i go!
- Pros: Apple Cinnamon and Blueberry Bran
Famous icon, best HUGE texas donut cakes for parties!
by FRandolph at Citysearch
The Donut Den is somewhat of a famous icon around Nashville. Every Saturday morning people line up for donuts for the family! Best apple & Hawaiian fritters! (I love to put mine in microwave for 30 secs.even better!)
We order Texas size donuts as birthday cakes and they are HUGE! Big cake box size. One year Donut Den made a fish cake out of donut with colored icing for fins! Everyone is always impressed with the donut cakes and have started getting them too! Kids love them, and not messy like cakes! Great variety of donuts!
This is a family owned business and we need to continue to support them! Remodeling inside is like a 50's dinner, and well-done. Highly recommend as a weekend ritual or drop by for coffee and donur or bagel!
- Pros: Ambience, Parking, Service
- Cons: None
Hmmmm, donuts seem a day old

Okay this has been a really great place to get a mom and pop shop donut. Think Dunkin Donuts but better. The bagels/with cream cheese is still GREAT. However, I think with rising costs and the poor economy this store has had to compensate buy not throwing out donuts and using leftovers for the next day. That's what the donuts have tasted like recently (not as fresh). I got a plain glazed and a fritter and i don't know it tasted kina dried out.
Ummmm I'd recommend that if the worker is gonna sit in the front because it's slow at night, please wash your hands orrrrrrrr put on gloves to serve the donuts ( i know you use that wax paper to pick up donuts but still...)
STill a fantastic place, but I'm looking for other donut stores as of now...maybe i'll come back in a couple of months.
- Pros: Nice revamp of the store
- Cons: Donuts seemed dried out, like they weren't fresh, which is weird
DITTO on the BAGELS

We went for donuts this morning, only to discover the best damn bagels I have ever had. I ordered one toasted Parmesan-spinach bagel, and man did it deliver. Toasted and buttered!! Fluffy and crispy!! MMM MMM GOOD! I can't wait to try the kolaches!
Best Bagels in Nashville
by johnthe3rd at Citysearch
These are the best bagels in Nashville...hands down. I've done the scouting. My wife and I now get bagels from Donut Den about twice a week. You can't beat the price on these things...no inflated "gourmet" prices there, just good stuff. If you love bagels, you gotta try this place! But go early...they sell out fast!
- Pros: fresh, cheap, bagels
classic donuts

Sitting next to Hillsboro High School for more than 20 years now, the Fox's Donut Den has mastered the art of the donut. Light and fluffy with just the right amount of frosting.
There best treats include the apple fritter, a large apple and cinnamon treat fried and covered with sugar glaze, the boston cream - chocalte covered cream-filled bliss, and the omnipresent donut holes.
Show up in the morning for the freshest donuts with the best taste. They also have muffins and bagels for those closely watching calories.
- Pros: best donuts in town, wide variety, friendly service
- Cons: small dining area
Not just donuts!

Okay, so we all know Krispy Kreme has the best donuts (when they are hot), but this is the best kept secret on here...the kalaches are sooo good- get them warm and you can't go wrong. I don't even know why I am sharing this with you all...they are always sold out by the time I get there anyway. Also, the muffins are extra tasty. The blueberry bran (low fat) is my favorite, but the cranberry walnut is also good...give it a try if you are in the area. Service is with a smile!
