Fantastic tapas, a few issues.

by reverend77 at Citysearch

My wife & I went to Bound'ry last weekend and had a great time. Service was mostly good, a little inattentive at times, and there were some seasoning issues on a few items.

If the mussels are on the menu, get them... very good dish. Also, the mushroom ragout was incredible, as well as the venison chop. The mushroom garnish on the venison was waaay oversalted, but the meat itself was cooked perfectly. Cocktails are served in a very interesting way, with only about half poured in your glass. The rest is kept on ice in a small carafe so your drink doesn't get too warm while you're sipping.

  • Pros: Great value, good food and drinks.
  • Cons: Seasoning of the food, spotty service.

Still a good place, great service but slippping

by timozero2 at Citysearch

Last night was my third trip in as 2 years to Boundr'y and I was really looking forward to going. I had a slightly better than average experience last time but was disappointed that it was not as good as the first. I figured it was an off night or whatever and was hoping to get redemption this time through. The food was still good, the Salmon was nice, the filet close to perfect , however the duck was a little overdone and the calamari was slightly tough. Apparently, they ran out of the novelty cone bread as we received the metal spiral with two bread sticks and cheese bread sans cone. The wine list was still strong with a great representation from the major regions around the world. The ambience was still there, the fire, the balcony and warm colors really make you feel comfortable.

I was frustrated at the no reservations policy after 6:30pm on Friday and Saturdays nights as I had clients with me and the service while still good seemed to slip some. All in all I would rate the experience again slightly better than average, however I do not think I will be back next time I come to town. The Nashville restaurant scene is getting more competitive and you are resting on your laurels.

Decent

by brandeeva at Citysearch

I've been to the Bound'ry once and I had heard a lot about it. It is a nice place, however, the seating, at least the non-smoking area seems limited. The hostess seated us right next the the fire exit door and it just felt weird. We were up against the wall, with a slight draft by us. There didn't seem to be a lot of options with the way they had it set up upstairs. They do bring you a great variety of breads served in these neat cone-shaped things. The food was also really good. I had the filet, and I must say, it was pretty perfect. I would recommend the food, just wish the seating was better.

  • Pros: Great food
  • Cons: Poor Seating

#1 in Nashville

by bhamblazer at Citysearch

Boundry is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. Its menu is vast and exotic and I enjoy taking my out of town guests there to experience new things. The wait staff makes the experience because they are well trained and knowledgeable about the menu and wine.

My last experience there was a perfect example of the quality you can expect at Boundry. I let my server suggest an appetizer (Lobster Fondue), a nice summer salad, and the best Tuna Entree I have ever tasted. He also suggested a perfect wine that impressed my guests and took the pressure off me.

Overall the food is great, the selection is vast, the wait staff is professional, and the ambiance is striking.

  • Pros: 300+ bottles of wine, 200+ kinds of beer, Huge menu
  • Cons: , No Frozen Drinks

Best to sit in the bar

by jenj03 at Citysearch

I go to Bound'ry at least once a week and have never had a good experience in the restaurant. However, the service in the bar more than makes up for it. The guys always take great care of me and whomever I bring along. I get prompt food and beverage service, they always have what I want to drink, and the guys make sure I'm having a great time (plus they get rid of the scary middle-aged men for me). My advice - sit at the bar, order a pizza and your favorite drink, and enjoy the atmosphere - you're sure to have a great night.

  • Pros: Bartenders, pizzas, drink selection
  • Cons: unattentive waitress, always crowded, Hostesses (horrible)

worth the drive

by sharonlgreen at Citysearch

The Bound'ry is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. I drive two hours to eat there several times a year. The variety of their menu and the ambience keeps me coming back for more. I love sitting on the balcony especially in the fall.

I forgot where I was

by bostonian at Citysearch

the bound'ry gives me a place to enjoy summertime in nashville. it has an enjoyable atmosphere, one where i can turn my back to the street and forget that i'm in nashville. the food is excellent, although a bit pricey. however, i think the money's worth the "bound'ry experience" (including service, quality, and ambience). it's one of my favorite places in this town.

  • Pros: great food, atmosphere
  • Cons: a bit expensive

Crowded but worth it!

by chello at Citysearch

The Bound'ry bar can get quite crowded with the "after work crowd" but hey, its a great place! The bar staff does a great job handling the crowd. Check it out, but don't expect to have tons of elbow room.

Best deck in town

by FlorrieBurch_Citysearch at Citysearch

I guess Bound'ry is the closest thing Nashville has to a "scene." It's definitely one of the trendier spots in town. The food is not bad, nothing to rave over, but the biggest draw is the incredible patio. A perfect spot for summertime dining.
