Amazing!

by skellarmckellar at Citysearch

I can not begin to explain how amazing our dinning experience was last night. It started with the smiling incredibly gracious hostess who told us about her favorites on the special sheet that evening. From there we were greeted by the most astonishing waitress I have ever seen. See walked us through the menu giving the history of the sauces and exotic spices. With every dish she had a spot on wine and beer recommendation. She was entertaining and ninja like when see needed to be. Just when you thought you need to order a cocktail you would look down and out of no where there it was waiting for you. If you are a cork dork or a beer nerd you will love this place. The Palm and Mortons would be envious of the steaks on our table. Every appetiser, salad, entree, and dressert was fabulous. The attention to detail was phenomenal.

The coffee which the waitress tells us is from a local roaster was the best coffe any of us had ever tasted. I could go on and on but someone would accuse me of being on the payroll. IF you have not been you must go.

Tax write-off???

by davidjohnsons at Citysearch

I certainly hope this place which expounds to "have no boundries save the flavors across the earth," is down with the space race. It would take them less time to franchise on Mars then it did to get food and drinks to the table. Man the service is Bad! I mean, beyond not knowing who our server was, they all seemed flustered and overwelmed. This is not the fault of the server, they were nice. It just looked like they did'nt have a chance based on what I saw of how the place worked.

I've eaten all over the world. Not being from Nashville, I asked the conceire of my hotel where I should go. She said "Boundry." I wonder how much she is paid to say that.

Anyway, the food was o.k., it just took to darn long. The lamb was good. The salmon was way too small. The calamari was cold with way too little sauce.

The room itself looked cool, but the water/wine glasses were dirty. The silverware was worse.

In my business travels I've seen Nashville come a long way. You can do much better than here.

Maybe they just had an off night, but that's my experience.

abandon all hope ye who enter

by drrobbarker at Citysearch

I had heard good things about this place. WRONG! My party and I felt like we were on "Candid Camera."

To begin this glorious night, our reservation was lost. Atleast the hostess was'nt rude, Ha.

It took us almost as long to get our drinks as it did to receive our torn, food- ridden drink list.

I hope the food on the dirty drink list was better then my party's.

We encountered everything from over-cooked steaks, to undercooked pork chops (pig sushi anyone?).

The service staff seemed like Keystone cops. Nobody knew nor cared what was going on.

I've had better service at Mc Donalds.

But wait, maybe I'm being a bit hard on the place.

The creepy little manager guy did give us free desert and his business card.

I have the feeling he will not need the latter for very much longer.

SMILE you're on. . . well you get the idea.

Enjoy.

  • Pros: There is some close seating to the exit

romantic setting, see-and-be-seen with a pricy menu.

by thepriceiswrong at Citysearch

The Bound'ry is the see-and-be-seen for the hillsboro/music row crowd. Spacious bar is nice for meeting friends for drinks and some thin crust pizza. on the weekend, service can be a tad slow because its so popular. the resturant is romatic with low lights, but be prepaired to shell out the cash. fun everyonce in a while, but as a regular spot, it can drain the bank.

  • Pros: great food, excellent drinks and bar staff
  • Cons: high priced and a bit stuffy at times

The Boundr'y Clearly has Borders

by marytkhim at Citysearch

If I'm ever in need of a drink and am on the outskirts of Hillsboro Village, yes, I'd stop in here. But go out of my way? I think not. Clearly a restaurant that continues to overrate itself by not accepting meaningful reservations i.e. past 6:30, doesn't want to cater to people who value their time. Would I want to take a party of 4 there? No. I don't find the old school appeal of waiting in the bar filling up on alcohol that way to manage a restaurant these days. Wake up. There's too much competition in Nashville!

I have eaten at this place several times always thinking, "this time it will be better," but never again. The decor is dated and tired. The food is very over priced for the quality and presentation. I am bewildered that people think this is actually great cuisine.

highs and lows

by laven205 at Citysearch

Loved the decor but the ambience was really hurt by poor choice of music. They try too hard to be "trendy New York." Pulsing techno may be fine for the bar but the dining area would benfit greatly from more subtle orchestral based background music. Maybe something Italian? The food is generally tasty although overpriced and often too rich. The wine and drinks, even by restaurant standards, are WAY overpriced.

Cigars

by tdhunt at Citysearch

We were celebrating a promotion and make reservations for a non-smoking table. We were promptly seated, good service, good drinks and then someone lit a cigar in the bar and the ventilation was so poor that we had no desire to continue our meal. Half way thru the meal we got boxes and took it home. Food/Service/Drinks excellent!.... but poor ventilation ruined the experience. Love the Bound'ry but I won't return if I can't enjoy my meal without cigar smoke

good food...and that's it

by gosha83 at Citysearch

I read many Citysearch reviews before going to Bound'ry. I was disapointed by the experience. To start off, the hostess station is situated right insde, by the doors, making it impossible for more than 4 people to wait comfortably. The place itself is quite small and very crowded. The mirrors on the walls make the place feel larger than it actually is. Our waiter was alright until he found out that we were not interested in drinking wine. After he took our orders, he didn't return to check back on us until after we paid. That felt really disappointing. At lesser restaurants the waiters come to the table 2-3 times during the dinner to see if everything is alright. The food was very good. I would not go there again, because I expect a better service, better ambience, and an overall better impression.

  • Pros: Food, Wine list
  • Cons: , Price, Ambience

Don't go in jeans.

by bna1jwr at Citysearch

I've been to the Bound'ry on several occasions. I find that the service and attitude of the waitresses depends on how they percieve you. If you are neatly dressed, they are realitively (although not overwhelmingly) attentive. Come in jeans and a T-shirt however and you will get the cold shoulder and a bad attitude every time. If there is a dress code, it needs to be made known to the patrons. I don't have any time for a place where the staff treats customers with disrespect based on their perception of their social standing.

  • Pros: Good Food, Nice Atmosphere
  • Cons: Disrespectful Staff
