Good Food, Rude Staff

New to Nashville, and everyone told me to check out the Bound'ry. Finally got to check it out two weeks ago. Made a reservation, but when we got there, had to wait. Ok with that. Had to sit at the crowded bar. Ok with that. Had to deal with a rude staff. Not ok with that. When we finaly got to sit down, we walked through an empty restaurant. Why did we have to wait for almost an hour when there were at least a handful of open tables? Girls at the front door were very rude. We tried to get our tab from the bar transferred, and the bartender was very reluctant, but finally did it. Food was good. Duck entree was almost worth the hassle. Salads were small and unimpressive. Dessert was weird and also unimpressive. Server seemed absent minded and not familiar with the wine list. Could have been a good experience if staff was better. Food covered menu was a huge turn off. Bad first impression.
- Pros: Good Wine and Beer List, Decent Entree Selection
- Cons: Hostess (doesn't seat you for long time), bartender(won't transfer tab), server(unattentive)=BAD STAFF

Ive been goint to the Boundry for years. Mostly apps and beers, from time to time, business dinners. Its always been one of my favorite places, engaging staff and excellent customer service. Ive been away from the area for a while, and when my son recently graduated high school, I suggested we do the old stand ~ by , The Boundry for dinner. What happend? Did Flyte take all the good waiters? My table was dirty, I had to request to order, and my waiter had a meltdown, so his poor overworked peer had to handle all the patio. The food order was wrong, and when it did arrive, it was tasteless.
AND theyve stopped bringing thier bread sampler in that cool horn~thing they used to have. Now they bring it in something wire mesh thing they found at Old time pottery. We didnt even eat. We bailed and went to the Trace. Boundry, you are now alienating your future customer base as well as your old one.
Not anymore...

The Boundry USED to be the place of choice for many fun nights out, romantic dinners, and restaurant of choice for out of town guests...not anymore. I hadnt been to the boundry in several months & heard it was very good anymore. I loved the Boundry and couldnt possibly have believed such things. HOwever, on Valentines day I had the worst meal I could have possibly imagined. Longhorn steakhouse would have been better. Our steaks were burned outside and medium-rare ish on the inside. The meat was tough and flavorless (except for the charcoal taste). The presentation was equivalent to that of Shoneys. I have had the same dish many times and the presentation quality dropped to the point that the mushroom topping was served in a plastic ramican. The calamari was tough and coo. I left hungry.
The service was still good and so was the cone o' bread.
- Pros: service
- Cons: food quality, value, food taste
I can make pretty food, too.

So what are you looking for in a fine dining experience? Atmosphere, fantastic cuisine, great service, beautiful fellow diners? Well, if you picked number one or number four, go to Bound'ry. If you wanted the other two, rethink your plans and try again. The menu seems interesting, however the food itself is rather bland and unexciting once it comes out. Of course it looks pretty; they must have hired art students to prep their food and make a couple of bucks, but if in your dining experience the actual gastronomical aspect is important, there are many other good restraunts in Nashville.
- Pros: Pretty People, Pretty Food, Pretty Decor
- Cons: bland food, slow service
Not the same anymore

The Bound'ry used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville until last night. I went out to dinner with 3 of my close friends and we were greatly looking forward to the experience. We were greated in a good way and given a nice table, but this is where the good ends. The appitizer was brought before the wine was poured and then the salad was served right afterwards almost immediately by the food. The waitor apologized 1/2 way and took the food back and then brought it back to us only to be cold. They did provide us free dessert for our troubles. However, the bottom line is that they were snooty about everything and just did not have it together. I would not recommend anyone eating at the Bound'ry anytime soon.

Service lacking

Service was the worst. It was obvious the server did not want to be there - she projected an unfriendly and unpleasant attitude and was unneccessarily discourteous and rude to our group.
