Fun, eclectic, and friendly!
by maryjatkinson at Citysearch
This is my favorite little shop in Nashville! I can't go in there without buying something. They have a plethora of eclectic "wares," from clothes to incence to funky jewelry to cards... It's like a miniature version of Anthropologie, but Pangaea actually started the trend! If you need a cute new outfit or a gift for a friend, this is the place to go!
- Pros: Tons of fun stuff!!!
- Cons: N/A
cool finds!

Pangea is a great store with tons of little nic nacks. great for gifts for friends and family. There jewelry collection is pretty awesome, as well as the clothes hats scarves etc. a little pricey, and sometimes cheaply made stuff but overall great. I have never personally been a victim of the alleged rudeness of the staff, nor have I ever noticed. I think it is just a very trendy/ chic place that has no apologies, because it really isn't the gap.
- Pros: Cute stuff everywhere, and some good deals
- Cons: parking, prices
A Place Worth Visiting, If Only For Those Awesome Earrings
by jessiebell77 at Citysearch
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite stores. I've usually had good service, but have heard some horror stories as well. Still, the questionable service is, in my opinion, outweighed by the great selection of jewelry and odds-and-ends type things, as well as the southern-New Mexico ambience. It's a great little place to go find gifts for anyone and everyone, as well as fun things for yourself. I'm always raving about the fun items I discover at Pangea, and have a serious appreciation for the cheapie earring selection.
- Pros: Fun Jewelry, Unique Shopping Experience
- Cons: Sometimes Questionable Service
Great Jewelry Finds

Pangaea is such a quaint and cute shop in Hillsboro! I love going in the morning of a hot date and picking out the perfect pair of earings. They have goregous jewelry and a good bit of it is reasonably priced, so you don't have to splurge, but rather just treat yourself. They also have a great purse and handbag selection to match!
Find a worldly gift at this Hillsboro Village hideaway.

In Short
Vanderbilt wanderers, Left Coast entertainment types and the Birkenstock set all come to stock up on the quirky and the exotic. The crunchy-granola vibe is the perfect complement to a store crammed with loads of neat stuff. Soft, South American woolens share shelf space with all-American Elvis novenas, Indonesian trinkets and home decor items from Mexico. The combination of unique housewares and funky women's clothing make this an adventurous shopper's paradise.
I'd skip it in favor of thrift stores/yard sales

Very unique and a really nice little place, but I wouldn't actually purchase anything here. All of it has that thrift store appeal and what doesn't is really cheaply made. Not to mention the prices were so incredibly high, none of it was worth that. Their $40 throw pillows are nothing more than faked embroidery (straight stitch or tight zig-zag) on cheap $1/yd cotton fabrics. Their clothes are just typical "head shop" name brands but with massive mark-up. Unless you just want to go in and browse, I wouldn't recommend it. But it is a nice place to get ideas for stuff to do on your own and great for killing some time in the Villiage.
- Pros: Very unique, Great style
- Cons: Excessively expensive, Thrift store finds
Rudest employees I've ever encountered.
by vodanon at Citysearch
I've been in Pangaea dozens of times. The wares are unusual and interesting, especially some of the small housewares. The main drawback is the horrendous service! The same rude staff has worked there for a while and it has driven away a lot of customers - add me to the list! They're slow and bitter when you want a dressing room, rude and pushy when it comes close to closing time. The jewelry/small gift quality seems to have gone way down recently and this, in addition to the awful service, has made me decide not to shop there again. Try Fire Finch or A Thousand Faces if you want a better all-around experience in the Village!
- Pros: Unusual Items, Funky Clothing
- Cons: Horrible Staff, Slow, Rude Service, Overpriced
This place is a real gem...

Immediately upon walking into the store I was transported to that special place where you forget about everything else going on in your life. Eagerly perusing the mostly ethnic inspired merchandise, I was so taken by the originality, beauty and diversity of everything around me. Moroccan, bohemian and spiritual are the words that come to mind when I think of the items Pangaea carries. Great finds included a pack of Day of The Dead playing cards, a cute baby's tee with a heart and crown graphic (perfect for my rockabilly loving friends who just became parents), a turquoise velvet jacket and two mini hair scarfs, one with a black and white floral print and one iridescent with sequins. The prices were higher than I what I normally try to spend but worth every penny if you can afford it. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
- Pros: Great vibe, Original items, Easy to find
- Cons: A little pricey
Staff not very friendly.

Some people who work here just aren't that friendly and that's the only downer of this unique shop. Not alot of smiles going on in here either.
- Pros: cool things
- Cons: not-so-freindly staff
Great little shop!

This store is great for gifts and just for spoiling yourself a little bit. Clothing can be pricey--but sometimes there are great bargains on the the sale rack. Jewelry is the reason I visit Pangaea--there are incredible earring finds on the $6 rack.
- Pros: great gifts, location, $6 earring rack!
- Cons: clothing prices
