I will not eat a gordita if it's not from La Hacienda. Son las mejores de Nashville. I have been coming here since I was 5 years old, and now I'm almost 18. The tacos are really great, just like if I had some in las calles de Mexico D.F. The staff is very friendly. The aguas frescas are delicious. This is a great place to have a casual lunch.

You can tell a good meixican restaurant by its salsa, This was mostly chopped canned tomatoes. Ok, not good. I tried the fried Mojito (Talapia fish) it was bad. It was fried to a crisp! They cut off the top of the filet and I did not get that part. The fish tacos are ok. The chicken tacos were fine. The Chicken Burrito was filled with large chuncks of white chicken meat. Also ok. If this is the best mexican food in Nashville, I'll have Italian please. I won't go back.
Pros: Prices are low.
Cons: You get what you pay for.

I don't claim to be a Mexican expert. I've eaten at a handful of different restaurants but I've never eaten Mexican in Texas or CA. I do know good food though and this place serves good food. From the fresh tortillas to the home made sauces this place is the bomb. My carnitas were lean and well seasoned. The plate included great frijoles and chopped onions and cilantro. My wife had a vegetarian fajita quesadilla made to her specifications and it was a home run. I sympathize with the reviewer below who cannot tolerate cilantro. The wife suffers from that same malady (as did Julia Child). I have no doubt that had he simply told his server he doesn't eat cilantro he wouldn't have had a problem. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Our meal arrived quickly. The room is a little unusual. There is a lot of tile and flourescent lighting. The chairs are great traditional Mexican leather and the tables are also attractive and very ethnic. If you like Mexican food you have to go here. Seriously, don't miss this. It's exceptional.
Pros: Fresh food prepared flawlessly
Cons: If you can't tolerate flourescent lighting you're going to have problems (wear sunglasses)

This place was great! English only speakers are in the minority but welcome. Wonderful authentic mexican dishes in a great south of the border atmosphere with great service.
Pros: Fast service, great authentic dishes, grat atmosphere.
Cons: Can get crowded and loud at peak times but thats to be expected.

I have been eating here for about six years, and I never get tired of it! I used to eat here every week. Now, it's a little less frequent, but it is still the best. I am always trying to bring new people here to eat, and so far everyone loves it! So, go! You will have a great time. The people are so nice and the food is awesome!
Pros: food, people, price

I recently moved to Texas and have not found a Mexican restataunt that can compete with La Hacienda, and I am a constantly travel through the Southwest, so it's not like I've olny eaten in Nashville before. The fresh tortilla's are the best, and for $6.29 you can get my favorite, the well titled #1. Two enchillada's, a taco, rice, beans, and salad. I can't cook at home for that much, and I surely couldn't cook that well. The green enchillada sauce is the finest I've ever had, and the soft taco's are exceptional. The cheese dip is a little thin and watery, but I get it anyways. Besides, you shouldn't go to an authentic Mexican restaraunt for the cheese dip, save that for your trip to Chevy's. This is a popular place and I recommend strongly parking in the back.

This is considerablely the BEST Mexican Food that i've ever tasted. It has so much flavor and is amazingly delicious. There is tacos, chicken, soups, and so much more. It has a great, beautiful atmosphere. The mirals on the walls are so beautiful and the market has like all the mexican products that you would ever want. You can also homemade pasteries, they have them at the market. There is also a tortilla machine in the market and sometimes, you can see them making them, its so cool. By the way the cool part is that they make fresh tortillas everyday and use them at the restaurant and can also by them at the market so you can make things at home without leaving your house, but it's also not the same as eating there. Anyways i HIGHLT RECOMMEND you go there, you will really enjoy it!

You will not find a better mexican restaurant around. That's before you even consider the prices. La Hacienda is always fresh and tasty and the prices are about half of the average mexican restaurant menu prices in town. We always go next door to their market and get the kids a huge cookie for .49. You can't go wrong here.
Pros: food, price

Now that I'm living in NYC, I miss La Hacienda more than any other Nashville restaurant. Unlike so many Americanized chains in Nashville, La Hacienda lets the food stands on its own rather than smothering it in cheese or sauces, and its dishes are all fresh, authentic, simple, and flavorful. The basics here are the best, I think: little corn tacos are piled with diced marinated beef, onions, and cilantro, and the rice is tender and fluffy. The rotisserie-cooked half chicken dish is incredible, too. And why eat fast food when La Hacienda is just as cheap?
Pros: , authentic, really damn cheap
Cons: crowded front parking, (park in the back), (park in the back)
