I absolutely love this salon. The staff is always smiling and very friendly. Britni Hall was my stylist upon my last visit. She was very courteous and knew exactly what i wanted/needed. Not to mention she gave the best shampoo I've EVER had! I was very pleased with my cut and color. I will be returning to see her soon!

Kini didn't just change my hair, she changed my life!

I had always wanted Japanese Thermal hair straightening but never thought i could afford it. Not only did Kini do an amazing job but it was far less expensive than any other salon i contacted. I have always spent hours straightening my hair every morning. Now it looks like i did after a quick blowdry. I really do thank kini every morning for the time she has saved me and my new shinny straight hair!

"Miciah Rocks"

OMG! My hair is wonderfrul. The color is to die for as well as the cut. Miciah is the only hairstylist who has ever got "me" and what I wanted with my hair. He listened to me and followed through. I am in my final year in Dental School and I am moving to Nashville. I can't wait to be near "my" stylist .

Miciah is such a pleasure to be around and I have had so many compliments and I have strongly recomended my friends to make the drive to see Miciah.

The Salon itself is totally great with the exception of maybe the music, I suggest to turn the volume down a litle because I got the best treament ever but a bit of a headache from the music.

You must see Miciah

I have had the hardest time finding a salon since moving to Nashville...almost 3 years ago!!! And the funny thing is, I am really not that picky about my hair. It seemed like everywhere I went either the haircut was terrible or it was just average but the price was outrageous. Then, by chance I got paired up with Miciah at Salon FX. I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received on this haircut and color. I felt like I was totally transformed. The people at the salon were friendly and the price is appropriate for the type of service you receive. But, like I said, what sold me was the fantastic new 'do I received. He took my ideas and then turned them into something better.

Not the same anymore

I have been a loyal customer for 3 years to the same stylist. In just the past few months they have changed everything about the salon. All the stylist had their own stations, so when you came in for your appointment you felt like the only client they had. Now there are no stations, they have a color bar where you sit and have your color placed. Then you wait while they attend to another client. Each client is only allowed 30 minutes at the color bar, so if your stylist is in the middle of your color, more than likely his/her next client is arriving. Now you see where the long wait comes in. I love my stylist, and honestly it's not his fault that upper management changed the way the buisness is run. It feels like an assembly line, with a really long wait. The only reason I keep going here is because I love my stylist, but I'm not sure how much longert I can last with all the changes. I would not recommend this salon.

Gorgeous Hair!!!!

My hair was very fragile; and I am incredibly particular about it because it is damaged and breaks easily. I was nervous about seeing a new stylist. Nan was recommended - so I saw her. SHE IS AWESOME!!! Very talented. I have had my hair done in LA by great hairdressers; and I can't recommend her highly enough. She gave me color with dimension and a great style. :)

Beware...The worst haircut ever!

I made an appointment and was excited to try this salon as I have read many good reviews. Boy was I wrong to have ever called them. I asked for a bob and received a misshapen shag. They offered to fix it but I had to refuse in fear of my hair looking even worse! How can you screw up a bob?? I am willing to pay any price for great results but I have to say that the beauty colleges are more professional than this place. If its late or they are really busy or any reason for that matter _ Turn and RUN away! Awful!

Trena... Horrible all Around!

This was the worst " color experience" I've ever had at a salon. Trena doesn't seem to know or care what she's doing, although she assumed she could read my mind and that what I was telling her I wanted, wasn't what I wanted. My appointment was for an all over foil over short virgin hair. She refused to foil my hair, period. I went in for a color to cover a small amount of frontal gray and highlights. After 3 hours and 2 dye jobs (the first didn't cover up one strand of the few grays I have) that burnt my scalp, I left with one color and no highlights because I refused to let her pull me bald after two painful pulls through a cap. I also left with dye on my face that she never bothered to clean off.

Shampoo...she more than once stuck the shower head thingy right in my ear.

Brushing...she more than once scratched the side of my face by my eye and scratched my ears.

Blowdrying...she left the blowdryer sitting on the back of my head, except to stick it directly in my ear.

Styling...my hair looks better when I roll out of bed in the morning, as well as every waking second of the rest of the day.

As for the rest of the salon, I came in from the Broadway entrance and was never greeted. Otherwise, parking is bad, and prices are high. At any rate, I wouldn't let Trena comb my cat's tail, even if SHE paid ME! On a scale from 1-10, I'd rate her off the scale, way off, to the left, in the negative, several degrees.

• Pros: I was offered a cup of coffee, after an hour and a half.
• Cons: Expensive, Incompetent staff.

Cheri rocks!!

I just made my first visit to Salon FX, and it was everything I'd hope for in a salon and so much more. Cheri gave me the best cut and color and really knew how to work with my baby fine and over-processed hair. Not only is she a talented stylist, but also the warmest and friendliest!! I would highly recommend her to anyone. I'll definitely be going back!

I also had a great experience with Majide who tamed my wild brows. She's very thorough and has a keen eye for detail.

Overall, this was an extremely positive experience. If anyone out there is hesitant about going to Salon FX, don't be. If Cheri can work wonders with my hair, she can do anything.

• Pros: Great atmosphere, the staff I've seen really know their stuff
• Cons: Can't think of any, unless you're not willing to spend your money on yourself.

Never Going Back!

I've been going to Salon FX for two years, to the same stylist, and am a BIG TIPPER. Last week I was kept waiting for over 45 minutes, with repeated promises that it would be "just 5 more minutes!" It was like noon on a weekday and no one was even there! I ended up leaving, and never got a call apologizing or anything. From now on, I'm going to TRIM!
