Great BBQ!. The food at Jack's is excellent!! It's a great place to go before a concert or hockey game. The staff is friendly, and the prices are fair. I wish it was open later!

Over priced & over rated!. Well this place certainly doesn't live up to it's reputation as far as I'm concerned. For starters the staff while not unfriendly, didn't go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The attitude was one of indifference at best & just short of rude at worst.Maybe I expect to much but for $15 bucks for a meal & drink I'd like to eat off something besides a styrofoam plate with a plastic fork & spoon. The sides I tried Mac & cheese & green beans were bland & lacked much taste at all & the portions weren't exactly overwhelming. The 3 meats I had Smoked Turkey (off a processed turkey roll it appeared, not an actual Turkey),the Brisket,& the pulled pork were passable nothing more or less, just OK.The 2 sauces I had the Tennessee,& the Texas were almost cloyingly sweet.Being from Middle Tennessee maybe I just expect more from a BBQ joint but this place just doesn't measure up.If you don't know BBQ you may like it OK,if you do stay away you'll come out disappointed.

Best stop before a hockey game. A must for taking out of towners who don't know what a "meat and three" is ! Pre-game hockey (or concert)meals --and the serving line guys are friendly and funny.. Take your tray upstairs for great people watching on Broadway.

Flying Pigs Mean Bar-B-Que Heaven. When you see the flying pigs, you know you have found a little bit of bar-b-que heaven on lower Broadway because Jack's Bar-B-Que is the best in Nashville. Everything is good, but my favorites are the pork shoulder, smoked turkey, and the sausage. Add some mac and cheese and iced tea and enjoy. Bring your appetite and get some extra napkins -- it's great!

Yumm-o BBQ!. I like Jack's a lot because of all the choices they have in terms of meats and sauces and because you get a lot for your money. It's not the healthiest food around, but if you want good BBQ in Nashville, this is it. I've waited in long lines here before, also, but it actually goes pretty fast!

Best Damn Bar-B-Que Anywhere!. My wife and I had the honor of visiting your store on Broadway this past weekend for the first time. My wife had never been to Nashville, so for our 5th wedding anniversary we drove down from Kentucky without any real plans on what to do.

A cab driver suggested that we check out JACK’S BAR-B-QUE, and both of us loving the stuff took him up on it.

We ate lunch there and did not want to leave. We wanted to stay there until supper time so we could do it all over again.

We did leave, grudgingly, but not without buying some bottles of sauce to take back home. The wife says she is could even put it in her cereal.

The food was excellent and your staff was so helpful and eager to please.

So thank you for making our visit one to remember and we hope to be back soon.

No trip to Nashville is complete without a stop at Jack's. I keep meaning to try something besides the pulled pork shoulder plate with refried beans and mac and cheese but its just too darn good. Wash it down with an ice cold sweet tea and you have a delicious and nutritious lunch. Okay, maybe not nutritious, but well worth it.

Best BBQ In Town. I've been to practically all of the bbq joints around Nashville and other parts of Tennessee. After trying a TON of other locations, Jack's is by far the best around. The meat is tender and delicious but the sauce is absolutely AMAZING. Is it socially acceptable to actually drink bbq sauce by the glass?? If so, then I am going to try it next time I go to Jack's. A must stop in Nashville -- DON'T GO TO RIPPY'S!!!

Great barbeque. I am a huge fan of Southern Cooking. The barbeque is great and the Southern Style vegetables are outstanding. The cornbread is excellent with a hint of sweetness in taste. Overall a positive dining experience. I will recommend to friends, family and out of town guest.
