Great food, Great atmosphere, Not so great service
by SweetNSouthern at Citysearch
I love Cafe Coco and have been going there since junior high school. One drawback is that you have to squeeze through crowds and struggle to find seating for you and those with you. The Turkey Rockafeller is the best sandwhich on the menu and my favorite drink is the Honey Nut Cheerio. I have gotten my things to go on more than one occasion due to some obnoxious customer, but that's just part of Coco's. :) If I could change anything, it would have to be the long lines and wait times. I will usually make a quick stop for my coffee and I have yet to make it out in a reasonable amount of time. If you got the time and patience, it's worth the wait.
- Pros: patio, clean bathroom, excellent menu, bar in back
- Cons: long wait for food or drinks, usually too crowded,
Never even got our lunch!
by bayley09 at Citysearch
We went for lunch and had an appointment we had to keep. We waited in a line of maybe 10 people and then placed our order. After we had placed our order, a person came up and asked where their food was. The order taker said it was the next ticket. Fifteen minutes later, they got their food. There were at least 5 orders ahead of ours (You can tell because the tables waiting have big green numbers). At that rate, we would have waited over an hour for two sandwiches. We told the order taker we had to leave and they would not refund our order. Not impressed and won't go again.
- Cons: long waits
Ended up here when another restaurant was closed and we love
by CSMobileUser2 at Citysearch
We ended up here when a nearby restaurant was closed, and boy were we glad. We loved the atmosphere and the hip scene on the outside porch. There was a wonderful blend of baby boomers and college aged folks during the linchtime hour. We will definitely return!
Pretty great place to go!!!

So living in the Nashville area I find myself stopping by Cafe CoCo's on a regular basis. I love everything from the people working there, to the coffee, and the food! It's a great place to go and maybe get homework done while sipping on a coffee, or just chatting with some friends before or after the club. I love that it is open 24 hours. Makes it convienent to go whenever you can. I would def say that everyone should go. Just not when I do because the line can get pretty long. Not the best place to go if your in a hurry.. But if you want to chill, relax and just think. Def worth going :)
- Pros: people, environment
- Cons: long lines
Wonderful food and environment

My daughter is attending Vanderbilt this fall. We stayed at the Music City hostel downtown and they recommended Coco Cafe. We LOVED it! When my daughter had to go to orientation meetings the next day...I went back by myself and enjoyed every bite! The environment is very friendly. I give it a big thumbs up!
great late night hangout

the food is decently priced and they have great drinks. I highly recommend the peaches 'n cream italian soda and the white satin coffee drink. it's loud inside but it has a great laid-back atmosphere and is a great place to meet up with a group of friends.
- Pros: atmosphere, hours of service
- Cons: parking, slow service
DO NOT PARK IN THE PAY LOT
by bluegrrl at Citysearch
DO NOT PARK IN THE PAY LOT next to Cafe Coco.
We paid $5 to park there and got booted anyway. It happened to a couple of other cars that night, too. All of us paid. All of us got booted. All of us had to pay $50 to get the boot removed. I remember joking that we should have filmed ourselves putting money into the slot in case we got towed. Well, joke's on us. I won't park there again, but if you do, generate your own record for paying.
It's a racket. Don't park anywhere where they don't give you a receipt.
- Pros: great coffee and ambience
- Cons: the pay lot outside is run by criminals

cafe coco on your side ... or not
by razor11 at Citysearch
i liked this place and became a regular till i got a boot on my car at lunch when there was hardly anyone there .... the managers and waiters all say the same thing .. "we watch 3 or 4 people a day get boooted." Hello .... those are your cutomers!! those signs are made to look like pay for event parking until you go read the paragraph ... what kind of place watches people pay fines out in the parking lot connected to the building and doesn't put up big signs informing people not to park there ... the kind of place that probably gets a percentage of the fines i'll bet! yes i know pay 2 dollars like your supposed to right .. the whole thing is misleading if you ask me and if i owned the place i would make damn well sure everyone got the picture when they pulled in the lot ... or here's a thought buy more spaces for your customers ... if the situation wasn't covered by the local news because it happens so much i might not feel as strongly about it ....
- Pros: good environment, good music
- Cons: slow a monday service, parking is misleading i believe
