Love the latkes!. This place is great for breakfast - especially if you've had a long night, or have lots of family in town and don't feel like getting out the waffle iron for them. Everything I've ever had here was good - but I will give a shout out to the Matzo ball soup and the Chicken Noodle soup, both are excellent for speedily restoring your sick loved ones to health. My all-time favorite indulgence here is the potato latkes... yes, with applesauce and sour cream!…
Good Food... But Really Authentic?. We were in Nashville for a concert and love a good deli. This is a good deli... but not exactly like the New York delis we love. My wife had the open-faced roast beef on sourdough. I had the corned beef has and eggs. Both were tasty. BUT, when I think of the authentic New York delis that I love, I think of the places that make their own deli meats, not just heat and serve. I also don't think of frozen veggies or pre-packaged gravy. All in all, the food was good, but not great. We will probably give it another try.…
Nashville loves Noshville. Great place for breakfast foods...the french egg toast is awesome!!! They have a wide variety of menu items though...grouper sandwich to chef salads, etc. Great place for families:) They are usually always busy, and close in the afternoon around 4 pm, I think.…
Come here for a serious sandwich!. When relatives come into town, this is one of our favorite places to bring them to. it's been a pleasure each and everytime, the staff is awesome! You can't beat a deli in the middle of Nashville! Noshville is such a great place to stuff your tummy and nothing else the rest of the day! Stuff your face and forget about it until tomorrow!…
Neither here nor there. The food Noshville always tastes good. The portions are enormous, but it'd never my first choice. I usually end up going because the group I'm with has decided to go for brunch on Saturday or Sunday morning. For me, the menu doesn't have the best options, so I usually end up ordering the same thing each time. A club sandwich. The fries are decent but the diet coke tastes like the machine doesn't have the right balance of syrup and carbonation. Honestly, it's neither here nor there for me. I'll go and enjoy my club sandwich and hopefully see a celebrity. One time I went and saw Kid Rock eating with his manager. Pretty cool.…
Great NE/NY Deli.
I like the funky 50's feel of the place.
It can be hard to find good bread and deli's (sandwich shops are not the same here) in Nashville so this place is filling that gap. Order your cold cuts to go!
Where else can I get decent egg salad on rye but Noshville?
I'd be there daily if I worked closer.…
Imported from NY & Miami.
I have eaten in NY delis for years and years. Finding Noshville, with their imported foods was a wonderful discovery! I've enjoyed a corned beef on rye, adding plenty of brown mustard, several
times for the past few years. Almost every time I'm in Nashville, I make a special trip to Noshville to eat lunch. I highly recommend having that sandwich with a Kosher dill pickle.
The Carnegie Deli (established in 1937) does not serve french dip...so I totally discount that review. Look up their menu online.
Black & White cookies, every bite is a reminder of growing up in Brooklyn. I highly recommend everyone enjoy a cookie or two for dessert! If you know about it already, or want to try something new, they sell Halvah bars at the bakery counter. Definitely a treat for those of us who grew up in NYC!
Some staff try harder than others to provide great customer service, like most places. But overall I'm fine with the service provided and the quick delivery of our sandwiches.
Vallet parking? C'mon that's something that is not offered in any other Nashville Deli...so more kudos to Noshville!
To those that don't like the food, you seem to be severely outnumbered because I've never been in the deli without it being very crowded with customers enjoying a variety of foods.
I definitely will be back to Noshville New York Delicatessen and will recommend it to family and friends...those that I haven't already!…
Great!. This place has always been great! I love it!
3 strikes and Noshville is out.
I've been to Noshville 3 times now and every time has been a disappointment. Perhaps I'm not privy to the one good item on the menu, but clearly the people who go to this place have never been to a
NY deli.
Went there for a late lunch on Saturday - the place was not busy. We ordered the regular club on sourdough and a french dip. The club showed up stacked high with what looked like a pound of turkey. The sandwich was dry (they don't put mayo on it for some unknown reason) and the turkey completely overpowered the sandwich, couldn't even tell there were 3 pieces of bacon on. The sourdough tasted like something you could buy at a grocery store. It's pretty difficult to mess up a club, but they have managed to at Noshville.
The french dip was stacked high with unseasoned roast beef, large mushy chunks of onion, and greasy flavorless cheese all on a soggy grocery store roll. The aus jus tasted like water, completely bland and a wasted opportunity to save the crapwich. The fries were extremely greasy and soggy. The highlight of the meal was the colesaw which was crisp and had the right amount of mayo and celery seeds.
We both left feeling ill and bothered for wasting nearly $25 for 2 mediocre sandwiches. Will not give Noshville another try.…
it will do. Had a $9 spicy chicken melt. Wasn't even given a choice of bread so naturally it was put on (ugh) rye bread. B&W cookies and H&H bagels were good, but not as fresh and good as getting them direct from Zabar's and H&H Bagels on the Upper West Side in New York City. That said, I'd probably give Noshville another try unless somebody knows where else I can get H&H bagels and Zabar's black and white cookies without paying $40 minimum on shipping to buy them direct from them online. And how about chocolate babka? Why isn't that offered?…
