A word of caution...my move with this company went horrible. They just didn't show up on the day I had scheduled to move!! They ended up rescheduling for 2 days later, which messed my whole week up with work. My husband had taken off his $1500 watch and set it on the nightstand and needless to say, we never saw it again!! Avoid this company!!

Pros: nothing

Cons: lost a very expensive, personal item

We hired All My Sons, reluctantly after reading some bad reviews. We needed to move on a certain date and they were the only one's available so that was the main reason we went with them. They weren't at our house 5 minutes and backed their truck up to the front porch, lifted the ramp onto the porch and proceeded to run into our storm door and break it. Five minutes and something was broken!!! I thought OMG, this is not a good way to start off the day. They dinged up our brand new fridge, lost a small part off of our washer and knocked some drywall out of the ceiling, going up the stairs in the new house. The door damage ended up being a real nightmare because our house was on the market at the time and we had to wait months for them to pay us for the door. People coming to look at the house thought the house had been broken into! If you have damage, All My Sons passes you off to a company in TX. You have to send photos, fill out damage reports and alot of other papers and then get some of them notarized. You then wait forever to get your money. I kept telling them that I was going to have to replace the door because people were afraid to buy our house. They said "Oh no, don't touch anything yet, you need to wait!" We couldn't let a $200 repair keep us from selling our house so we had to replace it and hope they were going to send the money. They did, eventually but it was a royal pain. I thought they would send an adjuster out to look at the damage and they would cut us a check, wrong! They make you do all the leg work and then you wait. The moving guys were polite though, I'll give them that.

OH MY GOD. THE WORST MOVERS ON THE PLANET. RUN, DO NOT WALK, AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS AS POSSIBLE. THEY DROPPED AND SCRATCHED SO MANY THINGS THAT I COULD NOT BELEIVE THEY HAD EVER EVEN *SEEN* ANYONE BEING MOVED MUCH LESS ACTUALLY MOVED SOMEONE. THERE ARE ALMOST *NO* ITEMS OF FURNITURE THAT THEY DID NOT SCRATCH. THEY TRIED TO MOVE OUR APPLIANCES WITHOUT A DOLLY AND DROPPED A DRYER DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS AND DROPPED A FRIDGE. THEY SCRATCHED OUR ANTIQUES. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE, ALMOST LIKE BAD REALITY TV --WE WERE LOOKING FOR THE HIDDEN CAMERA, THINKING THAT THIS COULD NOT REALLY BE HAPPENING. MY HUSBAND FINALLY STOPPED THE MOVE AND SENT THEM HOME. WE COULD NOT FACE THE THOUGHT OF THEM TOUCHING ANYTHING ELSE. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MOVERS. THE COMPANY PAYS ABOUT A PENNY PER POUND FOR THE STUFF THEY DAMAGE UNLESS YOU WANT TO TAKE THEM TO COURT. SO IT IS ACTUALLY CHEAPER FOR THEM TO DAMAGE STUFF THAN TO TAKE THE TIME TO MOVE IT RIGHT. WE FOUND OUT AFTER THE MOVE THAT SOME OTHER FRIENDS ALSO HAD USED THIS COMPANY WITH SIMILAR RESULTS.

Pros: NONE

Cons: TOTAL IDIOTS, INCOMPETENT

We moved from Brooklyn NY to Austin TX. on June 26, 2007. I spoke at least 8 times before the move with Robert Lopez, the biggest lier based in Florida. Our move ended up costing $2000 more than what he quoted. I called him many times and made him repeat the quote many times before the move so that there would be no surprises and he still said the day of the move that he had not given me that quote. Jason (don't know his last name) but apparently his boss backed him up, another lier. First the movers showed up in Blyn with no tools and not enough blankets so a lot of our stuff didn't get wrapped and got damaged. Then they they were supposed to deliver our stuff in 10 days and they took nearly 3 weeks to deliver our stuff. Part of the deal was that they had to assemble and dissamble all the furniture, the guys that were sent to deliver our stuff in Austin had no idea how to assemble anything, one of the guys that came was only 12 years old. Some boxes also got lost and a chair. I tried to get an e-mail many times with a quote but Robert Lopez always said his e-mail was down... then if you fill out the form to get a quote on their website you never get a quote you just get a number to call after you spent all the time filling it out. Also in their websote where it says track your move it's been under construction for 3 months that I know and who knows how much longer. You can't get anything written from them. I should have known better not to hire them. Please don't hire them. We have a lawyer working on our case now.

This was a rather large move - We had to move from our home to a rental house for 4 months, then from the rental to the new house. The move out of the house went O.K I guess, but the bill was about $700 more than expected & quoted. The move from the rental house to the new house was absolutely terrible. I expected the movers around 10:00am,They did not show up untill 5:30 pm to unload the stuff from storage (a whole truck load). The whole day they kept lying to me saying they were loading the truck, etc. What they did'nt tell me was that they had double booked tha same crew and they were moving someone else all day. So the truck and men showed up to unload with two broken hand trucks, and no tools. The men were totally exhausted from the first move of the day, and it showed in the lack of care with our furniture. Many of our possessions were damaged beyond repair or replacement from being dropped. After unloading the truck we still needed to go to the rental house and load up all mthe heavy stuff, and return again. Upon moving out of the rental house, they dropped a heavy dresser down the steps with one worker on the downhill side of the dresser. The dresser ended up pushing him through the wall at the bottom of the steps. (They will not cover that damage). Then we went back to the new house. They were so tired at this point they started dropping heavy furniture on the steps loosening the new railings, and scratching walls. Furniture fabric was ripped. etc. My damage claim was for over $2000, not including and drywall and painting repairs. I received a check for $132.00, I sent the check back, and so far I have saved at least one other couple from hiring All my Sons. DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS

Pros: none

Cons: total lack of respect for your possessions, misleading buisnedd practices

Two days ago I called All My Sons to get a quote from them. I explained my situation to Aaron with my Ref# 234164. He said the total cost was than $113.00 per hour for the actual moving plus a 3% charge for fuel, and $55.00 per month for storage. After giving Aaron my address I asked him if they were nearby and he said that they were right around the corner. When I asked him if that was all the charges he said yes. A few seconds later I was called back by the “local” All My Son’s office and they verified all the charges and said they were right around the corner. Once the movers arrived I showed them what needed to be put in the truck and the time they started at was 8:15AM. At 9:45AM they had finished and needed my credit card. One of the workers called up the main office and told them that there was enough stuff for 2 “Vaults” which meant an extra $55.00 a month for a total of $110 a month. They also told him to charge an additional $157.00 for unloading, $283.50 for 2.5 hours of work because they also counted driving 45 minutes back to the storage facility, $16.56 in fuel. In total the bill was $567.00 for storage and 1.5 hours worth of work plus $110 for each additional month. I called the main office spoke to Paul and he sounded as if he was surprised that I had not been told the total price and then the line went dead. I called back but he was on the phone with someone else. I talked to him a few minutes later and he explained that I needed to call the corporate office and complain to them. I called corporate and a funny thing happened, the line went dead again and no call back. I called the local office again and they gave me the “Oh well” what are you going to do about it attitude. They also told me that it would cost an additional $67.00 for them to give me access to the vaults at their warehouse when I was ready to bring my truck there and pick it up. So much for this costing only a couple of hundred dollars. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.RIP OFF!!!!!

Pros: Liars

Cons: Costs three times as much

Movers stole $2000 worth of our stuff on our move in 2002. That was a very tough lesson for our two little boys! The metro detective told us that they hire ex-cons and that he was keeping track of what one of the guys turns in at a pawn shop to hopefully track our stuff down. The owner was threatening and called us liars! The local Business Bureau didn't do anything besides paperwork. A year later the guy offered us a fraction of what they stole in exchange for us retracting a bad review on another site. We refused on principle. Just think, if he just paid for what his guys stole, he wouldn't be losing many more thousands worth of business. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Pros: a couple of the guys were polite - hopefully they now work elsewhere

Cons: owner is unprofessional

Do not use this mover if you want a smooth hassle free move with good customer service. Don't let the initial low estimates fool you - my actual move was much higher and the service was terrible. My desk was destroyed by the movers and they left an expensive antique mirror on the loading dock. I called the manager, Bob, on numerous occassions and was usually told that he was "not available". The few times I got him on the phone he promised to return my calls after he "looked into it" and did not. When I finally reached him again, he said the mirror would be delivered in a week. Skip forward six weeks - I still do not have my mirror and guess what - he still isn't returning my phone calls.

We shopped around, priced the big van line companies and such, but picked All My Sons for price. They were about 1000 less than the big lines were. We hired two trucks and four men for the in town move. They arrived at their scheduled time, busted their tails with our heavy items like piano, big screen TV, upright freezer etc. They padded and taped everyting and did a great job inside the truck getting it packed with a plan. At the other end, we needed to have a few things change floors and they did it with not one compalint. We bought them a big pizza dinner and made coffee which they appreciated, The 30 minutes they took for dinner was not charged for. In short, they had a 10 hour day, did not complain, worked very hard and made no mistakes. We would call them again!

Pros: Attitude, hard workers, no complainers

Cons: none

The movers were late and did not call, one of the men moving me was constantly on the phone and if i left him alone we did nothing. i moved more things myself than he did, i got a pinch nerve from this move because i had to do most of the lifting. It turned out the guy was high and was fired the next day. and they would not give me a discount. then when they got to my new place they unloaded everything on the sidewalk and left and did not take it inside. they did nothing and the manager came to visit me the next day said he could do nothing.

Pros: price was good at first, but service was so bad

Cons: everything
