Best Chinese for Price

I have to agree with Spooky that Far East is great! The customer service is the best I have ever experienced. They have been around a while and the decor could be updated, but the food makes up for it. I wouldn't recommend for a romantic dinner out. For a cheap dinner or even take-out I love it! In fact, I plan on making a stop by tonight!

This in NOT THAI food!

This is not Thai, it is everyday greasy "Chinese" buffet and not even a good one at that. It is great for students with no money, but I would never go there for "dining out." It is convenient to campus and fairly quick but certainly not high quality.

Far East

Did Hansen actually eat at the same restuarant I have for twenty years? The Far East has the best Chinese food of any restaurant in the Nashville area. It is certainly unique, as opposed to the carbon-copy take-out joints you find on every corner. The Far East has a different take on dishes found in Chinese fast-food places. And what twenty item buffet? I wish! I'd love all the cashew chicken I could eat. The "buffet" Hansen refers to is an ala carte lunch cafeteria-style service. Not a true buffet. Her review totally misses the mark, making me extremely skeptical that she ever visited the place. Simply put: the Far East rules!

Was probable the best ever 20 years ago.

Far East was probable really good a long time ago..But it's almost as if 20 years have past and they just don't care anymore.. The sweet tea is highly sweet. The food isn't all that good. But if you eat just about anything to save a few bucks, this is the place to go.. Very good for saving money...

• Cons: bad parking, bad food
