I decided to use David's Bridal for our bridesmaid dresses....I loved the fact the girls could try on the style we wanted in the size they wear. Once our dresses came in (they came quick about 2 weeks) they had me examine the dresses to see if they were ok....we had 4 total and 2 out of the 4 were fine. One dress had a small square patch like the sticker had been left on there when the dress was dyed, and took it off once the dye was dry.....and the other dress looked scuffed in the back. When I brought this to the attention of the sales clerk she had to go get a manager. The manager looked at me like I had 2 heads and was rude. She said I don't see anything....so I held the dresses up toward the lighting and she said oh ok I can see it, but it is hardly noticeable...I said well I can see it, and we are not paying for an imperfect dress. She said well we'll take them back and steam them then they should be ok....went back later in the day to get them and they ended up being just fine..... A few days later I had to go and pick up the 4 pairs of shoes they dyed to match the dresses. Three out of the 4 pair were horribly dyed. Missed spots, splotchy, etc. To make a long story short it took 3 times to make them right and a new set of shoes for each girl. I was totally against ever wanting to step foot back in that store until one of my bridesmaids backed out on us last minute, and I had to get a dress with 3 weeks to spare...I called and explained out situation and they gladly ordered us a new dress on a Mon. and it was in on Fri in the same week. They charged us a small rush fee of $20, but I didn't care at that point...so I ended up having a positive experience in the end!
Pros: lots of selection and sizes to try on
Cons: some clerks were rude

I walked into David's Bridal one evening to browse their selection before bringing my mom with me to try on dresses. Apparently this is not okay because the saleswoman continually pressured me into trying on a dress. When I told her I wanted to wait until my mom was with me, she hounded me to make an appointment for the following weekend. I finally had enough and tried to make my escape, but the saleslady actually followed me out into the parking lot and asked if I had made an appointment. When i told her I wanted to wait and talk to my mom first and see if she already had plans that Saturday, she looked like she could have punched me. The few seconds I was able to look at dresses in solitude, I noticed that they were way overpriced. Needless to say , I will not be going back and I ended up finding the perfect dress at a bargain elsewhere in town.
Pros: Wide selection
Cons: Pushy salespeople, chaotic atmosphere, overblown prices

I loved the dresses! There were so many to choose from and each were available in the size I needed. However, the customer service was horrible. I was a "walk-in" and they insisted that I needed an appointment. I made one, for two hours later, the first available slot they had. When my appointment came around, they introduced me to a 'bridal consultant' who was helping another woman at the same time. My mother-in-law to-be ended up getting my dresses for me and helping me in and out of them. Fortunately, I found my dress. As I walked up to pay for the gown, the 'bridal consultant' took all the credit for my purchase... even though she hadn't spent more than 5minutes with me. If you want to find a great dress, go here. But bring some friends because no one else will help you otherwise!!
Pros: Great selection, available in every size, many colors
Cons: Horrible Service, Very packed on weekends, few parking spaces

My daughter was 23 days out from getting married---in Texas!! She had forgotten to order her bridesmaid's organza wraps when she ordered their dresses and was needing to find them "In Store". There was nothing in the Austin area David's Bridal. She found one in NYC (that's where she lives---yes, this is a complicated story!) She needed three more. So I told her not to worry, I would call around.Austin. DB/Austin looked on their computer and found several stores nation-wide with two and a possible 3 altogether in Madison, TN. They gave me the phone #. I called them and spoke with Dale. She was VERY helpful. She took my phone number and said she call me back with the results of her search. Dale called back promptly---but only could find two. As we were discussing what to do, she remembered one more place to look. And there was number three!! They were shipped out the next morning. Thank you guys so much for helping a bride in distress!! Sincerely, A Mom in Texas

Margaret was my saleslady and she was very friendly and helpful. She made me feel very special even though the store was busy. I highly reccomend that you ask for her when making an appointment at David's.
Pros: Good prices, helpful service
Cons: You have to register with them before they let you

We went there this past Friday and were very disapointed. While at David's Bridal we waited forever before we were helped and they weren't very busy. Then the lady who helped us would throw dresses on me and then disapear on the phone. My mom had to take over getting me in and out of dresses. The dress quality was also not worth the price. Several gown I tried on were 1,000 and I was shocked because they didn't look like they were worth 300. We finally ended up leaving after waiting for help for over 30 min. No one even noticed we left. I was the only Bride in the store at that time. I wouldn't recomend David's if the dresses were all for $20 it's not worth what they put you through.
Pros: NONE
Cons: TONS

My daughter picked out 4 gowns to try on. At 5:30 the store made an announcement that they would be closing in 30 minutes. We asked for a dressing room and were told that the manager's "girls" were too tired from working all day and it would take at least 30 minutes to prepare for my daughter to try on 4 dresses. However, we could make an appointment for another time. David's Bridal advertises that they are open until 6:00 - maybe their doors aren't locked but don't bother attempting to try on a dress after 5:00! We will not be returning to David's Bridal - we shouldn't have to take a day off of work in order for my daughter to try on a wedding dress.

Went in to buy a wedding gown and was not asked if I needed help for twenty minutes. When i was finally asked I explained that i did not have a lot of money and was looking for an inexpensive dress. The sales lady just pointed and said "over there", then she vanished. I guess they only cater to people with lots of money to burn. Did not make me feel special at all, if anything they made me feel worse for not having a lot of money for a nicer dress.
Pros: none really
Cons: selection, service, prices
