I began my perfect wedding gown search only a week after our engagement because I knew we had a short engagement and needed to get on the ball. The logical thought- so I thought- was David's Bridal. My Matron of Honor did not say a word when I suggested David's Bridal, she just told me she was making an appointment for us at The White Room, also. When I left David's Bridal I was completely discouraged! The people were rude and very unhelpful, the dresses were just average, and none of it made me feel like a bride, but I thought that is what I was going to get on a limited budget. When I arrived at The White Room the next day I didn't come with high expectations which made the experience even better :) The moment that we walked in I knew it was going to be an entirely different experience and it was. My friend and I picked out all the dresses we wanted to and no one was rude to us, I could try the same dress on 3 times with no sarcastic remarks, and I could even try the tiara on with every dress instead of having to decide on one dress only before I could accessorize (which is a HUGE deciding factor) The best part is that Megan is the one that suggested a dress that I hadn't even picked and it turned out to be the one. Since I was on limited time I was able to buy the Limited Edition right off the floor and take it home with me. I couldn't ask for better customer service and I am a HIGH Maintenance girl =) I did not order my dress so I cannot vouch for that but as for prices, selection, and customer service I could not have asked for anything more. Thanks Megan!

Pros: customer service, selection, prices on designer gowns GREAT, only take appts. so not too crowded

I recently purchased my wedding gown at the White Room. My first reaction was that there is a variety of dresses for a variety of prices. I usually have expensive taste, but I was shocked when the dress I decided on was much lower than $1,000. They also have beautiful dresses that are priced higher, but these are the same beautifl gowns you see in the fashion pages of bridal magazines. Overall they have a great selection for anyone's budget.

Yes, they are busy, but I consider that a good thing. If the store was completely vacant, I may have taken that as a sign that they weren't very good. Apparently, they have a great reputation.

The store is clean and they have several dressing rooms. They also provide you with "cermony lighting" so you can see how your dress will look in say a night-time ceremony in a church.

The only negative experience I had was that there wasn't a huge selection of bridesmaid dresses and I went elsewhere for those. However, the dresses they do have there are very cute and are made by great dress companies.

Pros: Great selection of wedding gowns for every budget, great dressing areas, ceremony lighting

Cons: Variety of bridesmaid dresses is low

BE CAREFUL !!! MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT A DRESS. SHE WAS MEASURED AND FITTED BEFORE ORDERING THE DRESS.AND REQUIRED AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR LENGTH .BUT OF COURSE THE DRESS WAS MUCH TOO LARGE WHEN IT CAME. FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONAL FITTING FEE THE DRESS COULD BE ALTERED WHEN WE PICKED UP THE DRESS IT WAS VERY TIGHT.:[ MY DAUGHTER IS A SIZE 0 TO 2} .I INFORMED THE SALES ASSOCIATE THAT THE DRESS WAS TOO TIGHT. SHE REPORTED THAT IT WAS NOT TOO TIGHT BECAUSE SHE COULD STICK TWO FINGERS IN THE BODICE TOP. BUT SHE DID GET THE ALTERATIONS LADY TO LOOK AT THE DRESS. THE ALTERATIONS LADY PULLED THE DRESS BY THE ZIPPER AND STUCK HER FINGERS IN BETWEEN THE DRESS AND MY DAUGHER'S SKIN MY DAUGHTER REPORTED THAT SHE COULDN'T BREATH WITH THE DRESS PULLED SO TIGHTLY. AND SHE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GIVE THE SPEECH SHE IS REQUIRED TO GIVE WHILE WEARING THE DRESS. THE ALTERATIONS LADY AGAIN SAID THE DRESS WAS NOT TOO TIGHT. AND THAT MY DAUGHTER SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER AT THE FITTING THAT SHE WAS GOING TO GIVE A SPEECH IN THE DRESS..........I 'M NOT SURE WHAT DIFFERENCE THIS MADE IN ALTERATIONS ?????? AND THE LADY THEN UNZIPPED THE DRESS DOWN TO THE POINT THAT MY DAUGHTERS UNDER WEAR WAS SHOWING STANDING IN THE FRON T OF THE STORE IN FRONT OF MANY PEOPLE. ALL THE WHILE -REPEATING THE "DRESS NOT TOO TIGHT" THE DRESS WAS PLAINLY TOO TIGHT WITH THE BODICE AND STRAPS CUTTING INTO HER SKIN. WE REPEATED THAT THE DRESS WAS TOO TIGHT. BUT OUR COMPLAINT WAS IGNORED. NO OFFER WAS MADE TO ADJUST THE DRESS OR TO CORRECT THE MISTAKE. AT THIS POINT I WAS VERY UPSET.WE WERE IGNORED AND MADE TO FEEL AS IF THIS WAS OUR MISTAKE AFTER TWO FITTINGS!!! I LEFT THE STORE WITH THE DRESS AND PAID THE 15 DOLLAR FITTING FEE. THE ALTERATION WAS TO BE 40 DOLLARS. BUT I STILL HAVE A DRESS THAT IS TOO TIGHT AND WILL REQUIRE SOME ONE ELSE TO REPAIR. I ADVISE YOU TO BE VERY CAREFUL. THE MEASURING AND/ OR ALTERATIONS WENT WRONG SOME WHERE. I HOPE YOU HAVE BETTER SERVICE THAN I DID.

Pros: A LOT OF HIGH END DRESSES

Cons: POOR SERVICE

I am getting married later this year. I went to the White Room after Davids Bridal and Bridal Warehouse. I tried on three Beautiful gowns. The third fit perfect. They allowed me to buy it off the floor that day and only had to pay half. I then started paying as I could afford. They have been extremely helpful. After purchasing my gown I got 10 % off on everything else including bridesmaids dresses and flowergirls. ( I have 11 total). We have been notified promptly everytime something has changed with my order in order for us to make plans. Also if getting the tuxes there for every 6th tux you order, you get one free. This is extremely helpful especially if you had 16 tuxes to order like myself. I also have bought tons of accessories here including shoes and necklace for the big day..I have been using the white room since I was a junior in HS for prom and never had the severe problems that were previously mentioned.. The manger is great, the girls are great, and the service is great....

I would recommend the White Room to any bride to be. I traveled all around Nashville searching for the dress of my dreams and came back to my hometown of Lebanon to find the dress I loved. Joy Ann has been so wonderful to me and my bridesmaids. They have worked with me to find the best prices for all my bridesmaids. My wedding is in December and I ordered my dress in May. it was in within 2 weeks and it is wonderful. Nothing but good things to say abouth the White Room. I couldnt be happier.

I started looking in January for my wedding dress in which my wedding was in April. I did not know that it took over 4 months to get a wedding dress in. I had been to several places in the Nashville area looking for the dress and just couldn't find anything I liked at all, or if I did find something I was told that there was not enough time to order and the dress be here in time for my wedding. I had heard about the White Room and decided to make an appointment on a Sunday to look around. The White Room was actually closed on Sundays at this time but when I told them my situation the lady (which now owns the store) was more than happy to come in and help me out. I had always heard that their prices where kind of high but was very shocked that they were actually better than anywhere else I had been in Nashville! They also had the best selection of dresses and I found many dresses that I absolutely loved! When I found "the one" I was told that I may have to put a rush on the dress but would for sure have it in time for my wedding. The dress actually come in before the week was over. I bought my bridesmaids dresses there and my mom also got her dress there. They actually were not able to get my mother's dress in in time but ordered fabric and had the dress actually made because my mom was so set on it. I was so comfortable and confident with them that I left all my stuff there until the day of my wedding to have it all steamed. The day of the wedding one of the employees were off on that Saturday and even offered with no charge to come help me and my bridesmaids get ready. The service there was great no matter who helped me and I always felt comfortable and relaxed every single time I was there. I refer any and everyone that I know to the White Room, in which they have always come back saying the same thing I have. I have since had a baby and if I am ever in the area, stop by and see them because they show such interest in me and my baby even 2 years after my wedding.

Pros: Great selection, prices, and service. Worked around your schedule. Steamed everything

Cons: In Lebanon instead of Nashville

I absolutely love the White Room. Everyone was wonderful! My sales girl was very helpful and really knew her stuff. I even went back to her to help pick out the tuxes. I have to say my only regret so far is that I didn't get my bridesmaids dresses here as well because they have such a great selection. My gown was back just when they told me it would be and I almost didn't have to get alterations it fit so well. However, I decided to have the hem taken up and the seamstress had my gown back in less that two weeks. All around great experience. Would recommend this place to EVERYONE, because they truly have a something for everyone. Brides don't pass up this diamond in the ruff... :)

Pros: One stop shop with great selection and staff.

Cons: NONE

AFTER MANY EXHAUSTING HOURS OF LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT GOWN I WAS BEGINNING TO BECOME STRESSED AFTER MY SEARCH IN NASHVILLE HAD TURNED UP ZERO. MY FRIEND HAD HEARD OF THE WHITE ROOM IN LEBANON AND SO WE TOOK OFF FOR ONE LAST EFFORT BEFORE I WENT OUT OF STATE TO FIND A GOWN. AS SOON AS I WALKED IN THE DOOR I FELT LIKE I WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE PLACE EVEN THOUGH THE STORE WAS PACKED WITH CUSTOMERS. AS I WAS TAKEN BACK INTO THE BRIDAL ROOM EVERYONE WAS SO NICE AND HELPFUL AND THE GOWN SELECTION WAS INCREDIBLE. I TRIED ON AT LEAST TEN GOWNS THAT I LOVED AND I WAS SO EXCITED TO HAVE FOUND THAT MANY IN ONE PLACE. MY SALES GIRL WAS SO PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE DRESSES I HAD TRIED ON AND SHE WAS SO IN TUNE TO THE LOOK I WAS GOING FOR ON MY WEDDING DAY. I PURCHASED MY DRESS AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT I ACTUALLY FOUND BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES I LOVED TOO! I HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT THE WHITE ROOM AND I WOULD ADVISE ANY BRIDE TO PUT IT AS ONE OF THE FIRST STOPS ON THEIR LIST.

Pros: FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL CONSULTANTS, GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND PRICES

Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in early january i found my dress at the white room. the sales girls were so kind and excited for me when i made the order. it was a trunk show dress and the floor model happened to fit perfectly. i floated out of the store and drove home. my dress was supposed to arrive in plenty of time for my July 7 wedding. i was high on the experience and thrilled with the white room, totally trusting that they knew what they were doing. it did not dawn on me until 5 months later that i was never measured before ordering my once-in-a-lifetime gown. i got a call in early may that my dress had arrived. my mom made the two hour drive into nashville and we drove to lebanon -- we were giddy!! giddy until i stepped out of the dressing room and my dream dress was 6 inches (yes, 1/2 of a foot) too short, with a mere 6 weeks until the wedding. i tried to hold it together but of course started sobbing right in the bridal room, with brides and their moms staring wide-eyed at this dress nightmare. a sales girl walked up, put a hand across her chest and said, "don't be mad at us. this is not OUR fault." (note this was the same girl who sold me the dress.) i must say the white room worked hard to correct the situation. my new dress came in 3 weeks later, and they also got the trunk show dress sent as as backup plan. through all of this, though, they never took responsibility. apparently the trunk show dress had been extra length and the white room had been unaware of this and ordered regular length. also, we had to awkwardly ask for a discount, and they acted surprised and said they would have to "call the company". they called back the next day and "generously" offered to take 10% off the gown. we almost laughed, but were too fed up by this point to argue. so what i have to say is this -- the store failed to take responsibilty for a very stressful ordeal, and then had the audacity to only take 10% off the dress. but they did work hard to correct the mistake. there you have it!

Pros: beautiful gowns

Cons: competence level
