Too expensive and poor service

When I first began using Oakwood Cleaners, they had coupons, gave great service and appreciated my business. Over the years, their service has gone downhill and prices have skyrocketed! My last visit expenses for one business suit and one sweater - $45 OUTRAGEOUS!! They accept NO coupons. Period. They replaced buttons on the same suit five times, due to their poor cleaning practices- keeping the suit and extra week to replace them. I have spoken with the manager and owner to no avail. The "Greener Cleaner" must mean PAY LOTS MORE MONEY FOR POOR SERVICE.

• Cons: EXPENSIVE, damaged garments, accepts no coupons!

Best Cleaners all around and Best Stain remover anywhere

I just love Oakwood Cleaners, their staff and owners. I have a garment that has incredible sentimental value that I thought was ruined forever due to deodorant stain.. I was very distraught. I took it to their store on White Bridge road and the next morning the lady fm Hermitage called and said that she was going to be working on my blouse that I dearly love. I got the blouse back, NO STAIN ANYWHERE!! I think they have magic dust for their cleaning!! My garments are perfect EVERYTIME!! and are cared for in a manner that is friendly to mother earth! Perfection is the only experience I have ever had at Oakwood. No one hour cleaner or harmful petro based products here! Only the best for my best!! Oakwood cares for their customers clothes as if they were their own!! Would recommend to anyone, anytime, anywhere!! They even have gourmet coffeee for their customers at White Bridge Road location and for free!!

Do not waste time or money here

Billed by the owner as being in the same league as top cleaners in Manhattan, LA, and DC - cleaners I have used all my life - this cleaner is certainly not up to the standards he claims to maintain, and charges as if he were. Multiple times trousers and the linings of very expensive designer garments were pressed incorrectly, and after the second time I took time to speak personally to the owner about this, when yet another garment had been returned for re-pressing, I was told my instructions had not been followed as his staff had informed him it "did not matter as the linings would not show when worn". Setting aside the fact this is incorrect (as this depends upon the type and cut of garment and the body shape of the wearer), I do not expect to be told my polite request to fix sloppy work has been ignored and it will be three more days before it can be fixed - and then, when I went five days later to pick up the garment, it still had not been done. "It does not need to be done correctly" is not a response I have ever received at the cleaners the owner claims as his peers - the response to fewer complaints in 30 years than three months at those establishments has always been "we apologise madam, will it be inconvenient if we deliver it this evening, or would you prefer to wait or return in 20 minutes?"; indeed, I get better service in Nashville at Heritage Cleaners to which I take my tee shirts, no appreciable difference in cleaning, and they do not charge Manhattan prices. Having been assured several months ago by the owner at Oakwood I would never have to send my fine garments FedEx to Manhattan again, I can assure you I have resumed that practice. Do not waste your time or money here

Destroyed my daughter's wedding gown before wedding

This cleaners should be shut down permanently. They destroyed my daughter's gown one week before the wedding and had the audacity to charge my credit card. Luckily, the bridal shop had another gown shipped overnight. They claimed to have all sorts of couture cleaning endorsments that should be taken away. The owner of the cleaners has no ethics,

The ONLY Environmentally friendly green cleaners in Nashville, TN!! Oakwood IS the BEST!!!

They are friendly, knowledgeable and caring people.. Wonderful to do business with. Stores in Belle meade and Hermitage but have pick up at your home and delivery back to you!!

I had a garment that had great sentimental value that I just knew was totally no longer wearable due to a disaster with deodorant(use spray not roll on). I took it to Oakwood and they cared for the garment like it was their own. I went back to pick up the garment and Voila, it looked it it did the day that I received it PERFECT!! No spots, discolorations or staining anywhere!! Oakwood is enviromentally friendly and does NOT use petroleum based cleaning chemicals... They are awsome!! I have never had this kind of service at any dry cleaners I have ever used. Without a doubt the best cleaners anywhere near Nashville!! You won't regret going to Oakwood!! They care for your garments( especially designer or couture garments) as if they were their very own!! Natasha at the Hermitage plant location is great! She hand cared for my favorite garment and was just so great to deal with as was everyone at Oakwood!!!

HOW COULD YOU ASK FOR MORE !!!!!!!!!!!

THESE GUYS ARE THE GREATEST. MY WIFE AND I LOVE THE FREE PICK-UP AND DELIVERY SERVICE. THEY PROMPLY PICK-UP YOUR CLOTHES AND IN A COUPLE DAYS BRING THEM BACK LOOKING LIKE NEW AND UNLIKE MOST OTHER CLEANERS IN NASHVILLE THERE IS NO ODOR IN THE CLOTHES!!!!!!!!! FROM THE ROUTE DRIVER TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS WE CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THESE FOLKS. WE WERE GOING OUT OF TOWN AND NEEDED TO GET OUR CLOTHES QUICKER THAN THE USUAL TURN AROUND TIME. WE CALLED AND ASKED IF THAT WOULD BE POSSIBLE. THAT NIGHT THE OWNER OF THE CLEANERS SHOWED UP AT OUR DOORSTEP WITH OUR CLOTHES.........WOW.....HOW COULD YOU ASK FOR MORE !!!!!!!!!!

poor service

After taking my stuff here for like 2 years, these guys have just gone down hill. I had a blouse that I wanted a stain removed from and they didn't even try, told me they couldn't do anything. I took it to another cleaner and they fixed the problem, no questions asked, enough to make me switch.

Dresses Restored to Look Brand New

If you want some of your finer clothing either restored or preserved, Oakwood the Greener Cleaner is the place to go. I had several old, expensive dresses hanging in my closet that I thought were goners. I took them to Oakwood hoping they could preserve them, but I didn't have very high hopes. I WAS SHOCKED!! When I got them back, they looked just like new, smelled great, and best of all, I have some special heirlooms to hand down to my daughters.

Outstanding Service

The best place to get your valuble clothing drycleaned. They were recommended to me by Jaimes and i use their convenient pick up and delivery service and I love the fact that my clothes look like new and they do not smell.
