WE FOUND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT

the steak was great we had a party of 6 the rest was not good it was on a nite i guess the manger stayed in office. a long blonde was great to us . she was the only on that new we were there.she told us she had been there for years. if it was for HER we would never return.so to the waitress five stars to her keep up the good work she keeps the place a good place to come and enjoy. the music we did not enjoy to loud.i hope if she every leaves she well let everyone knows were she works at hats off to her .to the owner please take a good look at your staff you have these lady is A+ TO Y0UR PLACE THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS

Delicious

The atmosphere of this place is nice and romantic, although it's more romantic on one half than on the other (the side with the booths is more romantic). The salad bar is a little tacky, but yummy and has foods that most salad bars leave out: like more exotic peppers and even pickled okra. The salad bar is usually well kept, except for one time that I went. The food is delicious- especially the tuna appetizer, but there isn't much variety and it is expensive for what you get. The roll that comes with each entree seems to be out of a bag in the freezer section of Kroger. I think that this restaurant is definitely worth going to, but check any coupons you may have- with the percentage of the mandatory tip it may be cheaper to forgo the coupon. Try the tuna! It is phenomenal!

• Pros: Most of the food is delicious, there is a nice romantic atmosphere, the servers are pleasant
• Cons: The parking lot of ill maintained and small, the prices are high, the bread rolls are below average, not a lot of variety on the menu

Everything was Bland

Bland food, bland atmosphere, bland staff...this place was just plain boring. I have never in my life been so bored at a dining establishment. The food tasted like it was prepared for someone with no taste buds. It was just awful.

Good but relatively expensive and not over impressive.

My wife and I went to HS on a Thursday at 5:30. We had a coupon for $18.00 off an equal priced entree. The stipulation was you were required to pay 18% gratuity. I was not happy to have gratuity mandated because I used a coupon. I guess this is a way to recoup a fraction of the cost of the freebie. If I receive good service it is rewarded but if it is average service it receives average reward.

Entrees ranged from $13.00 - $26.00. The atmosphere was good. We were greeted cordially and seated promptly. The salad bar was good. It was fresh and the ranch dressing was creamy / smooth not biting like some others. My wife enjoyed the smoked oysters on her salad and the blackberries. We ordered Filet and a Ribeye. They were tender and cooked to our expectations. The baked potatoes were also tender, having butter on the table was a plus, usually you receive one small pat of butter. We enjoyed the evening. Our server was nice, not impressive, but OK. Overall, it was a pleasant experience but will choose to visit another establishment if I have to pay $22.99 for an 8 oz. ribeye.

If only the service was of the same calibur as the meal

Being a newcomer to Hermitage, I was eager to partake of the fare at a local eatery instead of the multitude of chain offerings I've tried so many times before. I was greatly disappointed with The Hermitage Steak House due to one factor and one factor alone - our server.

The ambiance was lovely; the hostess very friendly - seated us immediately. However, when it came to placing our order or receiving any attention from our waitress, we were left to wait until she finished waiting on every table in our section besides ours (even ones who were seated later than we).

We not only finished our salads, but sat waiting for another 5 minutes afterwards before being able to place our entree orders. To add insult to injury, when I inquired about the menu details (child meals, to be specific), I was treated to abrupt and incomplete answers. Is this establishment not child friendly, perhaps?

The food could have been the best I'd ever eaten, but after being visibly snubbed like that I wouldn't have noticed. The worst part was watching the section beside us getting prompt and constant attention by their waitress.

You may have perfected the culinary aspect, HSH, but your customer service leaves much to be desired.

Wow...wow...WOW! We loved it!

My husband and I visted The Hermitage Steakhouse on 01/06/07. From the moment we walked it, we knew we had made an excellent choice. Their staff was SUPER friendly - made us feel like we were the only ones there on a busy Saturday night, and without them even knowing it was a special occasion for us! We had the steak and lobster. The steak was PERFECT and the lobster was HUGE!! The environment was really comfortable. Wether in jeans or dressed up, you will feel at home. We were really impressed! Needless to say, we plan on returning!

Succulent steaks, Hide-away in Hermitage!

This steak house has plenty of ambience without being stuffy or hovering over you too much. The steak, a rib-eye was cooked to perfection and so tender. The vegetables were also cooked just right. My husband had the filet mignon and was totally satisfied. Great jazz music on the weekends!

Yum Yum!

My husband and I think that Hermitage Steak House is the best steak in the world. We are also thinking about telling foodnet how wonderful the food is. If you wont a great steak the Hermitage is the place.
