Debi Sutterfield does the most beautiful Hair Extensions ever!!!

The awesome friendly atmosphere at Gail's Hair House is felt as soon as you walk thru the doors.

There are stylists of all ages and with entirely different personalities. Debi Sutterfield is one of Gail's daughters, she is funny, more mature than some and has loads of experience. Debi is to the point about what she thinks will work and what will not look good on each person. I think this is one of the things I like about her most.

Someone reccommended her to me for hair extensions and I am so glad they did. I had been having the fused extensions put in but I love the micro extensions she uses. She attaches them with beads or something like that they lay close to my head and look so natural. She put in 3 or 4 different colors just a shade or two different and they look absolutely like I grew it. I have always had thin hair, now it looks like I was born with a head full!

Debi is also very unpretentious, you know how sometimes you hear stylists brag about themselves she is so not that way. So many stylists want you to think that they are better than the rest, Debi, is just Debi and she may not know it but she is the best. I am so excited that my friend cared enough about me to send me to her. I hope she continues to work there forever. You should try her you will love her!

Oh and be prepared to laugh, many people call Gail's their laughing place.

Debi Sutterfield knows hair

I have been getting my hair cut at Gail's for several years now. Debi does a fantastic job at understanding my hair - which is thick, wavy and has a number of cowlicks. She is quick to point out that she may not agree with me and make suggestions, but it is done with humor and she is not offended if I say "no let's do it my way." I usually follow her advice though, because I know that the end result will be fantastic.

I'm growing out my hair and I admit I avoided Debi for a few months until the length was established because I had left it short for so many years and we had discussions about growing it out before. But, when it became unruly - there is no one else I would go to to bring it back into line. And when it's long enough for locks of love we'll take it back to short.

I even have all the men in my family going to Gail's. My husband loves the special attention and my son just entrusted his long locks to Jamie when he was ready to go back to short hair. Jamie made him feel like he'd made a contribution because she pony tailed his hair so it could be donated as well. The guys were not sure about going to a TRUE SOUTHERN BEAUTYSHOP, but they love it now. They are treated like family.

It may not have the sophistication of some upscale salon where they hand you a glass of chardonay and a fluffy robe, but I wouldn't trade being treated like family for a few frou-frous.

Great Place

I moved here from Florida and was in desperate need of a hair cut. I had gone by Gail's Hair House many times and wondered if it would be a good place to get my hair done. After looking at the reviews in city search I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. I got in the same day I called and the staff was very friendly. In fact they made me feel like I had been going there for years. I highly recommend Jamie, great stylist and very personable. I am very picky about my hair as most of us gals are and she did a great job. I will definately be going back.

I'm so excited about Gails! I went in and got my hair cut by Kristi she is awesome! she really listened to me! It's so hard to find a stylist that listens. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair!! Also they are having this contest, where the client that sends the most referals gets $1500 in cash and prizes!! And the stylist that gets the most referals gets a 2 day trip to Gatlinburg. So call and make an appointment with Kristi 615-822-7092 You won't be sorry, she really is awesome. Best salon ever

I just recently had my first visit to Gail's, and I have to say I'm hooked. Kristi was my stylist, and I have to admit, when she told me it was her first week there, I was a little nervous. But, my nerves were put aside quickly when I saw that she had a great attention to detail. My hair had been damaged from box color, and she went out of her way to make sure my color looked great and didn't further damage my hair. She even got advice from the more "seasoned" ladies in the salon, and they truly made me feel like they wanted the best for me. Kristi also gave me a GREAT haircut that I'm sure I'll keep for a while. The only negative I can think of was that I was at the salon a little longer than I had planned (I was there for 5 hours!) But, I really didn't mind because Kristi was working with my mess of hair and made it look great. Also, she kept me 2 hrs past closing, which shows that she really cared about the quality of my color and haircut. The price was a little more than I was used to paying, but I used to frequent those "$10 no waiting" places. You get what you pay for, and I definitely got quality work on my hair. Go see Kristi - she's new, but she's great!!!

• Cons: Can take time, but good things come to those who wait; maybe a "little" expensive

I got the most wonderful haircut and style from Connie. She has a great personality and she let me eat suckers the whole time. I did have more fun when she was next to Jamie they were real funny. I will always come back as long as Connie is there.

WOW! I have never been so at home or felt so welcomed!!

I came here to say I found these guys on City Search and I came back to add my comments to all the raves! I saw the bad attitude from the unhappy one from Ashland City & want to say, I came a long way to try these people and I had a "Promo" which means I never paid Gail"s a dime only the people selling the "Promo" got money and I got a lot for my little money that I spent! John hs been my stylist and he is

"the bomb" He has been the very best colorist I have ever had and the drive from Brentwood is so worth it! All the stylist were so very friendly, and in just moments, you are part of the "Family" that works there! I can not believe the person from Ashland City could have had this experience, something else must not have angered her! John will forever be my hero.

Not the spa like atmosphere they advertise

My son purchased a gift certificate for their "spa" services. I arrived for my appointment and was very disappointed - they should not advertise their services as "spa-like" -- equipment was laying on the floor, staff was initially unfriendly and became even more so when they learned that I had a "gift certificate". I was constantly referred to as the "comp" customer (I supposed rather than a "paying" customer). These services had been pre-paid -- I was not a comp customer. Very embarassing and humiliating. My son paid very good, hard earned money for this "gift" and due to the way I was treated by the staff, I could not make myself go back to receive the remaining services. I felt like I was treated very badly for two reasons - I had the certificate and they already had their money and had no real motivation to do a good job (the hair cut I received was no better than what I could have received at the Wal-Mart beauty shop). The stylist acted as though she was scared to touch my hair and once she found out that I lived in Ashland City and more than likely would not be a returning customer, she had no interest in discussing further services. She spent maybe 30 minutes with me and acted as though she had done me a tremendous service. I feel like the gift certificate was a total rip off, again since they had already received their money for the services, they weren't interested in whether or not I received good service.

Jamie is the greatest!!!!

I just recently found out there was a place to write a review for Gail's hair house, so I knew I just HAD to write one....Jaime has been doing my hair for probably ten years or more. Not only does she do an AWESOME job, it is so much fun to just sit in her chair and cut up with her. She will tell you like it is, if she thinks the cut you want won't look good on you, she'll let you know, and if you still want it cut that way, she'll do it. Today I brought in a celebrity hair style picture and had her cut and highlight my hair and I swear my hair looked better than the picture I brought in! I love Jamie to death and would definitly recommend her to anyone!! Trust me..TEN YEARS or more and I wouldn't go anywhere else!
