My wife went to Nossi college and she loved it. She is a graphic designer and loves her job. The staff at Nossi are so helpful and her instructors were great. Nossi has the best photography program in Nashville. We have a friend that is going to Nossi and she loves the school. You should check out the college because it's very affordable.
- Pros: instructors, staff, quality
A Joke of a School
by reojames
Nossi is a joke. There are 3 good instructors and dozens of bad ones. The FLASH instructer for the Fall semester of '07 DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO START A NEW PROJECT! He didn't show up for the second class, so the students sat in the classroom talking to each other while Rick Schrand (1 of the Good Instructors) went back and forth from his class to try to help them learn something. When they figured out that he wasen't coming back they had to scramble to find a replacement. The students were 4 weeks behind by this point, and the new instructor is about as bad as the first. This is just the most recent case of lousy instruction.
All of the equipment at Nossi is broken, out of date or just plain dangerous. Laptops have been ruined from desks tipping over, the papercutter is rusted, there are raw electric wires exposed on the tracing projector, and rodents reside all over the place.
Textbooks are REQUIRED (or you fail the course) but NEVER USED! Instead, the instructors hand out photocopied pages of other books, and I don't even think thats legal.
DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU TALK TO NOSSI!
Talk to current and past students. Check places like Myspace for students.
Nossi is an expensive school with cheap education.
- Pros: Jeff Preston, Rick Schrand and Allison Logan
- Cons: All other instructors, Crappy equipment, and a lousy reputation.
