In Short
Since its 1952 debut in Memphis, Tenn., Holiday Inn has become one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Kids rule here: Children age 19 and younger stay for free when sharing a parent's room and as many as four children per family (age 12 or younger) eat for free at hotel restaurants. Other amenities include 24-hour business services, an in-room coffeemaker, iron, hair dryer, room service, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

We booked a room with this particular Holiday Inn and had to change our plans. We let the them know weeks in advance that we needed to cancel the reservation, but they still charged our credit card for the room. Being in sales and using Holiday Inn hotels VERY frequently (including previous visits to this one), we were not happy with this charge. Upon complaint, they informed us that they would NOT credit us the room since it was made in advance. With sufficient notice, most hotels will not charge for cancelations. Being very displeased, we called the corporate office who gave us a credit for a free night. Apparently, each local vendor can make their own rules on some things & this particular venue was not at all pleasant to deal with. We will not book with them in the future.
- Pros: location
- Cons: Poor customer service, Poor management, Poor conduct
