Real Tennessee BBQ,the best in town.
by st8of10ec
Fosse's has been in operation ever since I can remember & they're still smokin' the best BBQ in these
parts.Located near the intersection of Hwy.46 & Hwy.70 behind the Gas Department ,(or the old Red Kap)
they're hours of operation have always been kind of hard for me to pin down, although I'm sure they have them posted. This is strictly a take out with the only seating being a couple of picnic tables for use during nice weather, but somehow instead of being a drawback it only add's to the Fosse's expereince. The
unmistakeable smell of Pork slow cooking over a hard wood fire is the best advertising sign this place has
as it is tucked in the back of a parking lot,& you probably would'nt notice it if you did'nt already know about it.
The BBQ is moist without being wet, pulled without being ground,& can't be beat over some homemade
cornbread,& a bowl of white beans,& cole slaw.Try they're homemade fried pies to,you'll never want a
hostess,or Little Debbie again! For all the chain BBQ place's,take notice,Fosse's does BBQ the way it
was meant to be done!
- Pros: Slow cooked BBQ at it's best!
- Cons: Out of the way location, they close to early.
