I don't live in Clarksville, but a few times a year my wonderful husband and I make the drive up to Clarksville and visit The Black Horse Pub. The food is great! I highly recommend the pizzas. The Black Horse also offers a great variety of beers brewed right there at the restaurant, and they are all excellent. You can even buy the beer buy the gallon if you want to take some home with you. My husband and I always buy a couple of gallons. If you are not a beer drinker, they also offer great Irish Coffees. The atmosphere is great as well and the service is great too. Sometimes you may have to wait on a table, but that just goes to show you how wonderful they are. Good luck getting in St. Patrick's Day after noon, though. I highly recommend the Back Horse to everyone. The Black Horse is even great for families. They have a kids menu and the servers are all great with the little ones.
Pros: Good Beer, Good Food, Good People
Cons: Parking

Awesome food. We had the black bean hummus as an appetizer and husband had the rueben and I had the grilled chicken sandwich, yummy!!! Their microbrews are tasty too, my fav. is the vanilla cream ale. Would definitely recommend, great food at a good price.

This is by far my favorite restraunt in Clarksville, and though it is a bit out of the way from the base, it is worth the trip if you are looking for a great place to eat, drink, and just hang out!
Pros: Awesome food, good atmosphere, wonderful staff
Cons: parking is difficult on weekends, can get very busy, hard to find

The Black Horse is an awesome pub in downtown Clarksville. The pizzas are delicious and they even have an option on the menu to create your own pizza. The pizzas are a little high, but well worth your money. The Black Horse's micro-brewery turns out some really good stuff in a variety of flavors. My personal favorite is the coal miner's stout. It's a smooth, deep, dark stout similar to Guinness. If you like Guinness then coal miner's stout is the beer is for you. The Black Horse has a nice family environment and is also a great place for friends and lovers to meet too. It's a great place to sit back have a few beers and chill, or enjoy a great meal. I advise you to try this place if you haven't already. Thanks. P.S. The only time I would recommend making reservations is on St. Patrick's Day.
Pros: great beer and everything else
Cons: parking

The decor in the Blackhorse is awesome. I really like the bar because it looks like something out of the old West. The service is normal to good and the food is tasty but not super expensive. I almost always get the filet mignon and have never been dissapointed. I wish side salads came with the entree but you can't have everything. Anyway - the side salad is just okay. Their baked potato's are big and buttery, their seasonal beers are very good. They have a seasonal nut brown ale right now which is excellent. I don't care much for the vanilla beer but I know it is very popular.
Pros: Atmosphere, Good food, Brewery
Cons: Normal service, Parking

Blackhorse has a turn of the century decor in a 150 year old brick building. It's nicely decorated to reflect it's heritage and a good break from the O'charleys and Ruby's. The waitresses are friendly and prompt. The food is superb and a good value as well. Finally, the micro-brewery on site pumps out some pretty good suds. Blackhorse is a great place to go with your family, or take your wife on a date, or meet some buddies to catch the game on the plasma screen.
Pros: Food, Service, Beer and Decor
