I have been to BRC day spa 10 times and I always get jamie to do my massages, he is great. He applies the right amount of pressure and the massage is consistant every time. The last time I went I added the whirlpool soaking bath before my massage, and it was nothing more than a homemade bath, no special bath oils or scents and the candles were nearly all burned out. The only thing I did not like was the cashier asking me "do you want to add a tip" I did but I felt a more applicable questions should have been how was your services... Ask for Jamie he is great!
Pros: Jamie the Massage therapist
Cons: alittle bit better waiting area is needed more privacy

I have visited many spas and this one was okay, but the experience was definitely below average. If you are in a room, you can hear ppl in the hall. The bathrooms are not impressive - at all. I was sold a prep kit for a peel that I did not need - $125 prep kit at that. The peel was an "in and out" process. No preparation or facial mixed in with the peel as I am accustomed. And when you check out, you have some person asking you in front of everyone - "do you want to leave a tip?" I should have the privacy to add a tip on if I choose to do so. I just overpaid for a peel, which I could of gotten $125 cheaper at another spa AND I now feel obligated to leave a tip. Nobody asked "how was your service?" - only did I want to leave a tip. I will not return to this spa. Also, the products are great - but very overpriced.

I had never had a wax before and she made the entire experience so comfortable! She is wonderful! I was so happy with the results. She's not limited to waxes, she does facials, etc. I high suggest she be the lady you see at Blue River!
Pros: Service, atmosphere, professional

I recently moved to Nashville and was searching for Jan Marini products. My aesthetician in San Francisco introduced me to this product line, which is amazing. The person that assisted me at BRC was very helpful; she even suggested another store for a product line BRC doesn't sell. I am looking forward to going back for a facial. I hope to up my rating to 5 starts afterwards.
Pros: Jan Marini facial care! and Jane Iredale makeup
Cons: out of the way for me

After receiving a gift card, I decided to book a package to get the most use out of my time at Blue River for a first time visit. I was very pleased with my experience there, I received a hydrotherapy bath, massage and facial, all of which were amazing and very relaxing. The staff was very pleasant and professional and never tried to push any products on me. The facialist only recommended products for me after I talked with her about my skin needs and there was no pressure to buy anything. A good tip though: Go early in the week in the morning, if you can, there will hardly be anyone else there and you will get all the attention you want.
Pros: Great service, ambience, price.
Cons: May be busy on weekends or afternoons.

After a stressful week, I scheduled myself for an all day spa package at the Blue River Canyon Spa. I was taken to the relaxation room, were I was told that someone would be with me in 15 minutes. After an hour had passed I went to the front desk and asked if there was a problem. I was told that a "human error" had been made on the schedule and my first session was not scheduled for another 45minutes. I was offered lunch and told that I would need to wait another 40-45 minutes. I asked if somone could possibly work me in sooner since I had plans for the evening. I was rudely told the staff was on lunch or with other clients. I understand "human error" but no effort was made to problem solve or correct the error. Since I was treated so rudely I asked for a refund and spent my money at a nicer spa with friendlier staff.
Pros: Great Atmosphere
Cons: Poor Service

I first discovered Blue River Canyon online while living in California and looking for a present for my mother who lives locally. She loved the place and, after recently returning to Nashville, I learned why. What a relaxing retreat! The staff is pleasant, knowledgable and accomodating and the setting is so serene. My facial, massage and hydrotherapy session were wonderful and I felt pampered the entire time. The products my aesthetician recommended have proven to be very beneficial and were not things I would have found on my on. I can't wait to schedule another apppointment.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

i decided to treat my sis to a massage and Kitty is an amazing therapist, however...my massage was not as great. it started out good...until my ears got rubbed 3 different times and my temples 4 different times. and the pressure was not consistent. the areas that i asked to have worked more than other areas, were not. half of the massage was light, "tickle" massage and i like firm to deep work. none the less, i was disappointed to the point where i don't think i will ever go back. massage is too expensive to have someone do a half-ass job on you.
Pros: nice office,
Cons: not on time, quick to boot you out

This spa has a very nice environment. I would highly recommend this to everyone for massages and other services outside of hair removal for dark pigmented women. I was dissapointed to be told following my arrival that the hair removal service could not be extended to me due to their equipment not being suitable to treat women with dark pigment. As an African American woman, I would not have been offended by the question and would have appreciated not making the time off work and the drive to Brentwood. I suggest that spa reservationists verify whether the potential customer has light or dark pigmented skin prior to confirming an appointment for hair removal. Please be sure to ask questions, that maybe the staff at this spa would be overly sensitive to bring up. I do like this spa and will visit it for other types of services.
Pros: massages
Cons: hair removal

I had a mani/pedi with Lindsey, and she is by far the best I have ever had! She took the time to really scrub my feet and the massage was great! My feet have never felt so soft. She was very professional and polite and allowed me to relax. If you are wanting a great nail tech- go see Linds, my polish still looks great even after 3 1/2 weeks.
Pros: nice, clean nail room
