The Best In Town

Some people say Peter's sushi is the best. I agree, but that was 3 years ago. NOw Peters sushi is terrible, i dont know what happened. Fortunately, Miyako is getting better. So the best place to go for sushi in Bentwood is Miyako.
- Pros: good sushi
PERFECT SUSHI!

Regarding the review below me...I've been to Peter's Thai and Sushi and Miyako is a billion times better in my opinion so I think they're doing OK without him! I would not go back to Peter's. Not to mention you get way more food for your money at Miyako than Peter's or any other sushi place you go to which is always good when you're obsessed with sushi like us :)
Miyako is always fast, efficient, and consistantly the same (wonderful!) Everyone there is friendly and always takes care of us and the owners even know is by now b/c we go so much and eat so much sushi.
Best spider roll ever! Husband and Wife, Fuji, Shrimp Tempura, Hawaiian roles are all wonderful too. I've never met one I didn't like there.
- Pros: wonderful sushi, fast, great atmosphere, great owners
- Cons: so far from where we live now (spring hill) :(
Used to be good...

My family used to frequent Miyako when we first moved to town 15 years ago. But it hasn't been the same since their head sushi chef Peter left. Luckily Peter now owns his own place just around the corner from Miyako that has better sushi and atmosphere.
amazing sushi, easy to get into, good hours, great prices

Truely the best sushi in Nashville! My boyfriend and I go at least once every two weeks. They seat us right away, and soup and salad are included when you order more than 3 rolls of sushi. We crave the Fuji roll, its incredible!! The price is right too!!
- Pros: Fuji roll, service, price
- Cons: none!
The best sushi

We have been going to this sushi place since I moved here 3 years ago. It is so good, I crave it! The husband and wife roll is our favorite. It is several different fish in a huge lightly battered roll. It even comes with it's own sauce! But don't misunderstand, this isn't one of those sushi places where they only have one good roll! All of their rolls are great! If you haven't been, you have to try it!
- Pros: Great sushi
Our go-to sushi restaurant!

We live about 15 minutes from this place and pass 3 or 4 other sushi places on our way, but you can't beat Miyako! They always seat us right away and are USUALLY pretty good about being prompt with their service. The only downfall I can even think of is they don't have any liquor- only beer and wine- and they don't have a crawfish roll. But other than that, it is the best in town!
- Pros: fast service, good variety for non-sushi lovers

I have been going to Miyakos for a couple years now and it has been consistently delicious! You must try the Fuji Roll! Service is great and they have great lunch specials.

My fiance and I moved from Michigan and knew we were going to miss our favorite sushi place. Well...we found an even better one here! we could eat Miyako daily! They have the best sushi and everything is always fast, consistant and yummy. The husband and wife roll is our favorite and is a must order. California rolls are great, Fuji roll is amazing! Definitely go here if you're looking for the best sushi!
- Pros: Wonderful sushi, easy access
- Cons: hours

In Short
The interior of this suburban restaurant invites relaxation with its warm pinewood paneling and the soft glow of red and yellow Japanese lanterns. A bright blue aquarium by the door is home to a variety of colorful tropical fish. Behind the usually crowded sushi bar, the sushi chef artfully slices sashimi and builds rolls. The Tennessee roll--bite-sized yellowtail with green onion--is a favorite.
Delicious Food

The miso soup and salad are wonderful. My husband loves the gyoza and gets it everytime we dine there. There isn't anything on the menu that I've tried and disliked, however, the shrimp teriyaki is amazing. Hot pineapple chunks, mushrooms, tomatoes and lots of shrimp sprinkled in sesame seeds with a hearty sauce make this one of my favorites. The sushi is very good too.
- Pros: excellent food, fresh sushi, immediate seating
- Cons: can be crowded
