I am a teacher - parent - grandparent. This is the store for me. The service is friendly. I am always greeted on arrival. Some staff even know me by name. Products are displayed so beautifully. The grandkids want to go there every time they visit. I am always able to get what I need and more. I have seen the manager doing the same work as the other employees. This is a very family oriented store. With parking and location not a problem, I am a regular. Not sure what happened with other customers(BELOW) but I have never had any difficulty with service or products.

Frankly, these reviews confuse me? I guess the tons of other happy customers just haven't found this site yet. I shop in there ALL the time, and I have never found anyone working there to be anything less than helpful, polite, and if I am looking for something they don't have - they're doing everything the can to find it for me. The manager there is wonderful....he has turned that store completely around!! It looks amazing! Plus, I happened to be in there one night when a gentleman was trying to return something, and apparently didn't like that he couldn't get his money back. He was very loud and rude and hateful for no reason....and neither of the people waiting on him ever said anything remotely rude or short or anything. Had it been me, I might have told him where he could go! I realize that in customer service, there is always going to be SOMEONE who isn't happy with something...but I would bet that 8 out of 10 people who visit that store are more than satisfied with the service they get. I know I am!

Awful service. The manager has to be the worse management I have ever come across. He was rude, unproffesional, and I will never shop there again. They are losing a lot of business!

The book I'd wanted to purchase turned out to be the last in the store. It had a major tear on the back page, as well as signs of wear and tear all around it. I asked the gentleman at the counter if he'd make any discount due to those major defects on the book. He said that discounts apply to discontinued items only, and that I did not have to buy it, but wait for the next shipment that is due in about a week to ten days. Since I had to prepare my child for the SAT test scheduled after ten days, I could not wait for the next shipment. Neither did I have the time to purchase the book online. After walking around the store for a few minutes I proceeded to pay. This time it was a lady at the counter. I asked her if there was a manager around. She said that the gentleman I'd talked to earlier is the manager. She then repeated his reply and said that I didn't have to buy the book and that I could wait for the next shipment. This was uncalled for. I have never encountered such rude manners and unprofessional attitude, let alone from a manager! It certainly tarnishes the reputation of the Parent-Teacher Store.

The clerk in charged asked me to stop shopping it was time for the store to close. This person in control, her exact words, said It was not very considerate of you to enter the establishment just minutes before we were to close. What a sad moment in this stores fine reputation.
