Great experience!. I chose Discount Tire at Providence, Mt. Juliet, to replace wheels and tires on my 2001 Xterra and, 2 days later, tires on my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. Ken and colleagues were very accommodating with trying various tire sizes/brands on the Xterra to upsize the tire while not causing any handling or rubbing issues. I was able to take advantage of a $100 rebate for the wheels and another for the tires. The Marquis required a white-line sidewall tire to keep the factory look and Discount Tire had the hard-to-find Michelin in stock. The whole experience (with another $100 rebate for the Michelins) was most pleasant with good value in products and service from folks with great attitudes. I'll be back and will recommend Discount Tire without qualification.

Hard Sell tactics, Expensive. Went to Firestone when one of my tires blew out and I realized that the tread on the rest was 2/32. So instead of buying one new tire it was time to replace all four. I went to Firestone to see if they had any Michelin Hydroedge's in stock, but the salesman kept tried to sell me crappy Falken Ziex. I was unsure about buying tires without reading customer reviews on them first so I told him I'd be back. Then he goes and talks about doubling my mileage with certain tires and about side walls and that the Michelin's aren't a good buy. I repeated to him that I'll be back in a bit, then he says he will knock off $5 off each tire.

This guy just wasn't getting it so I just walked out. I won't be returning to their store anytime soon.

Get quote in writing!. Quoted me a price for mounting 2 race tires I bought elsewhere. In the end it was much more than the quote (Madison Store). Said it was due to difficulty in mounting them. Ended up scratching my rims in the process. $70 to mount 2 tires....Walmart was less than $20 but was scared they would scratch my rims....oh well.

WOW, Discount Tire Rocks. I just got some new MB Razor wheels and Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors put on my F150. Even though the power was out 2 hours in Providence just before I showed up and they were extremely behind, they were still fast, courteous, and just plain friendly! In Retail you have your general standard for being customer friendly and a lot of times you do it because you have to, but I really believe these guys do it because they want to. I interacted with at least 3 guys both in the shop and behind the counter and was impressed by each of them.

When they finished my new wheels and tires looked awesome. They parked my truck 5 ft from the front door and opened the door for me... SHOOK MY HAND and thanked me and complimented the look of the wheels on my truck. Then reminded me about all the free services that came with my new tires: rotations, rebalance, inspections, pressure check! I can't wait until I need new tires on my wife's minivan so I can go back!

Keep it up guys, you rock!

If you're a female. If you're a female expect to be treated as though you are mentally challenged....and if you buy tires they will NOT offer you road hazzard...and then when they sell you a garbage tire they'll throw that back in your face....so ask those idiots for road hazzard!!!!!

Fantastic Service, Fair Prices. I spent over a week calling every tire seller in middle Tennessee trying to find a set of tires that fit my budget. At one store, I was met with a salesman who barely uttered a sentence before telling me that the lowest 3 or 4 models of tires for my car weren't available, but he would be happy to cut me a deal on their highest grade. No thanks. Then, my boyfriend started helping with the search. He talked to someone at one of the car parts / service stores who quoted him around $300 for four tires. Great! I called the same store to confirm right before taking my car. The EXACT SAME tires they had quoted for him at $300 the day before (no special sales mind you) they quoted at over $600 for me. Really? I must not have been the gender of customer they were looking for.

Then I called Discount Tire in Mt. Juliet. The gentleman who answered the phone answered and I have to admit I probably barked a bit, "Look, I just want to know what the rock bottom price is - NO road hazard, NO extras!". The man on the phone laughed "You've called a lot of places haven't you? Well, that's not what we do here, let me explain...". He went on to tell me about the warranties and services included with ALL tire purchases. Then he quoted me a great price.

I took my car to discount tire, and rather than trying to upsell me from the price I was quoted, they actually showed me on the computer all the choices I had for my car! A tire with double the warranty of the cheapest one for $20 more total? Sign me up! I went and had a burger and by the time we had finished lunch, my car was ready. They met me with my keys and warranty when I returned for my car. AWESOME SERVICE!

Bottom line, I drove from downtown Nashville to Mount Juliet based on the phone call I made, and now I will encourage EVERYONE I KNOW to go to Discount Tire in Mount Juliet. Thank you for redeeming my faith that there are still honest companies that do a good job for their customers!

Highly Recommended. I ordered tires online and was called twice -- once to tell me my tires might not arrive before my appointment and a second call to say the tires had arrived. I was met at my truck. Everyone said good morning as I was escorted to the desk after a review of my tires. I was in and out in 25 minutes. Everyone there was courteous, knowledgeable and quick.

Editorial Review. A multitude of choices in tires and wheels are offered at the country's largest independent tire dealer.
