My husband and I tried Nero's after a Preds game yesterday for the first time -- what a treat! The corn cakes are fantastic (I could've eaten my weight in those alone), the ribs and steak and biscuits were both delicious entrees, and the mojito martini was to die for. The service and ambiance are great as well; all in all, this is a restaurant I can't wait to get back to. I'm looking forward to trying the steaks, stuffed potatoes, and pastas. My only regret was that I couldn't try everything I wanted on my first trip! Oh, and the oreo snowball was a great way to end the meal -- just enough, not too filling and old-fashioned yummy. Now for the big question -- can you bring this jewel to Murfreesboro? We need you!
Pros: Portion sizes are nice -- not too large.

Service was great: attentive without being overbearing, an error was fixed promptly and professionally. Great, classy, relaxing atmosphere. Food was wonderful: filet with blue cheese was melt-in-your-mouth satisfying.

My wife and I were visiting Nashville on Friday night when the city received a rare snowfall. Because of the threat of bad weather, there was no wait for a table. Service was prompt and very friendly. We both ordered rib eye steak and salads. Good steaks, great Martinis, and very good service. Nero’s is well worth a visit.
Pros: Steaks, Martinis, Service
Cons: None

This was a wonderful meal. Extremely tasteful for a fresh water fish. It has a great blend of different flavors and I would recommend it to anyone!

I feel like I've walked into Cheer's every time I visit Nero's. The owners, John & Judy along with the staff are so welcoming. I recently brought my co-workers in for a business dinner and it went off without a snag. They were impressed with the variety on the menu and the willingness to accommodate special requests. Being a creature of habit, I stick with the Ahi Tuna dinner with seaweed salad which is always cooked to perfection. I did splurge on the Heath Snowball for dessert which was AWESOME!! I am by no means a professional critic but do make the restaurant rounds in Nashville. Nero's makes us feel at home when I'm with the kids, co-workers, customers or a dinner alone with my husband.

I have been to this restaurant three times and EVERY SINGLE time I have been, what I wanted to eat was not available. It always amazes me that restaurants run out of food. If things are good, that sometimes happens. This is where it falls back on the management. I personally didn't want a discount, I just wanted to eat what I wanted to eat. I could have let it slide once, maybe even twice. The third time just took it to RIDICULOUS. Needless to say, I will not be returning. And, the service has always left me desiring more. They are like a bunch of zombies.
Pros: I can't think of any.
Cons: Too many to name.

I have been to Nero's many times for lunch and enjoyed the ambiance, service, and food. The rib rolls are tremendous. We visited last night for a special event dinner, and were treated to a memorable evening. It was a birthday party (96th). The menu was great! The grouper with scallops is highly recommended. They even customized food for the birthday girl. Judy and John are making Nero's a destination where expectations are exceeded each visit. I cannot say enough about how willing everyone was to make the evening perfect. It made our family very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and plan on returning soon! Thank you for a great time!
Pros: Service oriented staff

I have never written a restaurant review, but I was compelled to hop on the review site and warn others...be sure to define medium rare to the server and cook. My daughter ordered her riibeye steak medium rare. The steak came to the table raw, as in cold on the inside. We flagged down the server and he graciously took the plate away and said that the manager would be over to our table. After the rest of the table finished their meals, the new steak arrived and was slightly more cooked than the first steak, but not by much. We asked for a to go box and decided we would put it on the grill tomorrow night, after all, it did cost $19. We never saw the manager and vowed never to return. it is too bad, because the atmosphere is cozy with the fireplace, not very crowded (of course it was Sunday night of President's Day weekend), and the fries were tasty. Still there are a lot of other good choices in Nashville for a medium rare steak.
Pros: fireplace

My galpal and I were in search for a place to watch a game, eat a little, kick back...and this was IT! We had driven around one long, Sunday afternoon and spotted your grill. I'm not from Nashville and knew nothing about Nero's. What a perfect spot! Lots of monitors placed perfectly. She gets a chill easily so we sat next to the comfy fireplace. The crowd was nice...not crowded, but nice. Nice folks. Great prices. The only glitch was that my fries were too salty, but they took care of that and brought me their home fries which were dipped in bleu cheese...yum! We decided that it was going to be our place to hang...kind of like a home away from home...away from kids, et.al. I absolutely was happy. Not only that, but the manager actually gave me a personal tour. An excellent place for work, family, special occasion parties in back rooms of various sizes with their own media components for private viewings of whatever people display these days. Fun, food and good drink. Congratulations! You won me!
Pros: great parking on a Sunday!...perfect seating...great food
Cons: none.

I grew up in Nashville/Green Hills and Nero's Cactus Canyon was an Icon for dinning out. The Griswolds are back! Nero's Grill has to be one of the best, local experiences going. Sure they had some bumps in the road when they first opened, but Johnny G. and his wife Judy read every single comment card, took the advise of their customers and is making it work. Everything is great from the service to the after dinner drink selections. I'm a beef eater and the chef will allow you to push the prime rib to what ever you want it to be (for a modest up charge). I know I asked for an 18oz and it was at least 22oz.. The Bow-Tie pasta, NP! I can't begin to describe how full of the different meats there are in it and how great the taste. One word of caution though, don't eat too many of the hot water corn cakes before dinner, it will cause you to have the server box up the rest of the meal for you. Great work Johnny and Judy!
