I’ve been to The Place once, a few months back on Comedy night. I was thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere, the management, and the entertainment. There is a different event each night. At 40 years old, I’m particular about were I go, and enjoy a more mature crowd. I’m glad to see someone with flavor and style making contributions to the night life in Nashville.

Pros: Good taste, relaxing atmosphere, conveniently located

Cons: Remember Its a night club not a 5 star hotel.

First things first, I want to give this club 20 hands up on being great at what they are doing. I live 55miles outside of Nashville and I look forward to be able to attend a real party without the MESS. I have several WHITE, ITALIAN, HISPANIC AND SOMALIAN FRIENDS THAT WERE MORE THAN WELCOMED> I believe that if you go into an establishment thinking that you are above the rest and do not get treated as if you are all that then theres always a problem or WE are (TREATING YOU DIFFERENTLY)if you know what I mean. Anytime there are more of other cultures in one place, then you have a problem being the minority. And for those of us who are the majority lets support these guys to the fulliest because with negative reviews that come from "it's all about us people" will cause another tremendous club in DOWNTOWN TO SHUT DOWN. To the owner of this club PLEASE DO NOT STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING. THE LOCATION IS GREAT FOR TRAVELERS TO COME AND CHILL AND KNOW THAT EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SEE U SOON :)

Pros: MUSIC

Cons: WAITING OUTSIDE

Could someone please give me the correct phone number to this club? I've been calling trying to make reservations for a booth for my bachelorette party and the number that is on here is not correct. Anyone know the phone number to the club? I really would like to go and see what it's all about! Thanks!

When it comes to night clubs and lounges, I am an expert. I was once a highly regarded cocktail server in the night club industry for 6 years (paid my way through college) and I know a good club when I get there. I read the reviews and it was shocking to see several "White" patrons who discussed horrible treatment at the expense of their skin. I actually met a really great guy at "The Place" this past winter that happens to be white. We dated for a few months and he was never treated inappropriately while visiting the club. If my family comes in town I always tell them to go to the place. It has a great atmosphere and I love the music, especially when DJ Rage is on the ones and twos. The bartenders are great too!! My drinks are very well made (I recommend Nia she is the BEST Bartender) and if it wasn’t for the large crowd, I'm pretty sure my drinks would get to me a little faster!!! Every club has its ups and downs and the security can be a little firm at times, but hey that’s what they get paid for, I value my safety. The owner is very nice and he actually mingles with his guest to make sure they are having a good time. The only thing I can say bad about "The Place" is they need to learn not to have their guest waiting outside for the appearance of a large crowd, its cold outside for the most part. If your family is is town, white or black, and they love Old School & New School R & B and Hip Hop, this is the place. If you want to see a live band or catch a great comedy show, this is "The Place". Highly Recommended, See ya Saturday!! BTW NO MORE SMOKING... People have to go outside now to smoke!!!

Pros: Ambience, Drinks, Music, Celebrities

Cons: Long Lines for no reason, Smoking outside (even blacks)

Well I went to The Place on sat. and today is mon. and I still can not hear .The music was so loud that everyone leaving had some hearing damage. The drinks are served in small plastic cups and are 7.00 or more and are mostly ICE!! Drink before you get there and you will have a good time. The music was great and hopefully my hearing will return soon!

Pros: The DJ was great

Cons: I still can't hear after 2 days(loud music), The drinks are VERY SMALL and over priced!!!

Best time ever... Highly recommend. I had a problem with a overcharge on my credit card but the owner was so cool and handled the situation with the up most professionalism. The club experience was great; music and the atmosphere.

Pros: Just about everything

Okay, I must be honest. I have never been to The Place but I have been thinking about "checking it out". I came to this site to read its reviews and came across the reviews written by "samsmiley" and "De2004". If I had to guess, I would say that the reviews are bogus and written by the same person. Both are very dramatic and seems a bit staged which leads me to believe The Place must be a pretty good operation if someone would be willing to go through so much trouble to sabotage its reputation. After reading the other 5 reviews, I have decided to "swing by" this weekend. I will let you know if I am thrown out!!!!

I went to The Place on Friday, Feb. 1 and had a great time. I read the 2 previous reviews and I was leery b/c I am white, but I had a fabulous time. I ate, drank, and danced the night away along with my friends. They had buffet style food that was free. The had 2 for 1 martinis. It was free to get in before 7. They were having an after work party which led into a late night party. I never felt unwanted or scrutinized because of my race. Some members of the staff were white. The club is non-smoking now, which is fantastic in my opinion. I am not sure what the 2 previous writers were talking about, but I wanted to give my opinion since it was drastically different then their's. Go and have fun!!

Pros: parking, non-smoking, size

Cons: not enough seating area

If you are not black, you are not welcome at The Place. From harassment at the door by security, to yelling security guards, to patrons who blockade people from getting past them, to bartenders who refuse to sell whites drinks, this place is filled with racism on a level you've likely not experienced. If you want to take a chance that you'll leave in a bodybag while you get a first-hand taste of being physically and verbally violated for your race (with as much venom and violence as they can muster), then give The Place a try - you'll likely get what you were looking for. If you want to have a good time drinking and dancing with your friends, while not being harassed for your race, go somewhere else.

Pros: Good place to experience violence & hostility based on your race.

Cons: Might have to make sure your life insurance is up to date - you may well need it.

I went to celebrate my birthday and the event was absolutely horrible. First the bouncers gave away my pre-paid booth to the wife of a "celebrity" and then the bouncers made my friends leave the club because they were white. I am black and had about 30 black folks at the club. The bouncer decides that my 4 white friends should not be there and attempts to kick them out. In the end, the bouncers attack me and my friends and the whole club is shut down. I would not recommend this club to ANYONE. The club is not true to its word and their bouncers are overzealous. If you decide to go....BE CAREFUL and PRAY that you will exit unharmful!!! Also, please know that if you are not black, you are most likely not welcomed!!!

Pros: there are none

Cons: violent and overzealous security
