I'm surprised by the previous two reviews because I've had nothing but positive experiences at the Vandy Planet Beach. The workers (most of them are local students) are always sweet and helpful, and I've found the manager/owner's wife (mentioned below) to be the best of them all. She always takes her time to recommend more or less minutes in the booth for me based on my skin color on that day, and has been known to throw in a free packet of lotion "just because." The main drawback is that during the school year, it's PACKED with Vandy students, so make an appointment beforehand so you don't get stuck waiting for a while. But at least that's a sign that people like the place. It's so much better than that empty, awful Elite Tan in Green Hills. You want to see a leathery manager who provides some truly foul customer service (all while chatting on her cell phone), waltz into that place. I promise you'll come running back to Planet Beach.
