Well, not to sound contrary to other posts, but it does sound pretty farfetched. I have been a regular for some time at this store, and after discovering this review, I have had to chime in with my .02. I have found the staff to be personable and suitably geeky. This is no slight on them, and in truth, they happen to have the cleanest and most professional store I have ever frequented. The "geekiness" is in their knowledge, enthusiasm and readiness to accept others. In their 3+ years, they have grown from a tolerable endeavor, to the mecca for gaming in the Middle TN area. Whether it be heroclix, Warhammer, Confrontation or any other game they carry (sorry, no MTG) the staff supports it all the way. True, I had to wait for special orders over the years, but the shop has grown to be incredibly well stocked, and has nearly everything I want. If nothing else, the community has been so inviting, that a few stumbling blocks were more than tolerable. So, for any vindictive and solitary posters out there, I'd recommend spending your efforts in a positive and above all ACCURATE manner. Oh, and BTW, I happen to know for a fact that Grant hasn't worked a Monday in about a year and half. I think his wife won't let him. :) JK. But seriously, let's all try and live and support our stores with an ounce of grace. Thanks for reading, and as tdove pointed out, we all have our own opinions and experiences. If nothing else, you should check it out to form your own opinion. They can take it.
Pros: Clean, well-stocked, family-friendly established discounts!!!
Cons: All the way in Murfreesboro (20 minutes away) getting too small for its crowds on big tourneys

Let's take this person's allegations point-by-point. #1 - Grant's "rudeness" - he is a civil person, polite even in the face of heavy provocation; he prides himself on pleasant customer service and helping anyone who come through the door. #2 - "very expensive" - I don't know what kind of expectations this person has, but the prices in the store are retail-standard, and 20% off comics for boxholders (30% off backstock). #3 - "wouldn't serve her because she's female" - utter bullpuckey; there are several regular female customers who enjoy the shop's benefits. #4 - "ballistic about going to OL" - it is to laugh. If GA can't get the item you want, or you'd rather go somewhere else for your business, Grant doesn't care; he'd LIKE to have the business, but in the end it's the customer's choice. Now, let's take the outright lie. "She" says that she came in for a box on Monday and talked to Grant; well, that'd be impossible, since someone else works the store Mondays. The two couldn't look more different, so it's not like one could be mistaken for the other. Grand Adventures is a great store, with excellent staff who are willing to bend over backwards to satisfy whatever need you might have. Come in, see for yourself, and judge who you believe more.

Ok people, listen. This place is totally terrible!!! The guy who thinks he owns the store is TOTALLY RUDE!!! If you are not up to his standards or if you do not like what he likes, then you might as wall forget about ever being welcome. HE IS VERY EXPENSIVE!!!! I went in on a Monday afternoon and asked about getting a "HOLD BOX" for myself. GRANT basically told me that it was a waste of my time since I was a woman!!! Can you believe the nerve of that creep!!! I had a list of comic books that I was willing to buy and some that I wanted to put in my hold box. BUT, since I am a WOMAN I could not possibly understand comic books!!! YEAH RIGHT!!! Sooo, I went to OUTER LIMITS. My husband then went in on a Thursday and when Grant found out that he had been going to OUTER LIMITS, Grant went ballistic!!! He told my husband that if he was going to shop at his store he had no right to go to OUTER LIMITS!!! Something about STORE LOYALTY!!! This is the first time my husband had went into this store. Now my husband is a big kid, he does not need someone telling him what to do or holding his hand to the bathroom. I honestly believe that there is some stuff going on in the office that only certain people are privy to. BEWARE: STAY AWAY!!! GO TO OUTER LIMITS... The owner and employees are totally nice. PLUS, they are not expensive!!!
