Kristina has been my stylist for 10 years and has always kept up with the latest techniques and styles! When she was in Las Vegas working at the ACM awards, I took it upon myself to get a "lovely box" of color and Lordy...I regreted that! But SHE FIXED my mistake! And can fix yours too!!! She also hooked me up w/ the perfect foundation & lip color! purrrrr! Excellent highlights & a wonder, comfortable enviroment makes going to the salon not stressful but a joy! Makes me feel like a new person! INside & OUT!

They fix hair emergencies

Last year, I decided to cut my own bangs, and needless to say, I butchered it. First of all, I didn't use hair-cutting scissors, and second (and most important) of all, I don't have any experience cutting hair--I was just bored and wanted bangs (for some bizarrre reason!). Anyway, I asked a coworker the next day for a recommendation on hair emergencies, and she told me to go to HM.

I called for an appointment with Stephanie for the following day, and I am so glad I did. Not only did she fix my pseudo-mullet into very cute bangs, she showed me how to keep them cute.

A few months later, I was itching to have a new look and of course, I went to HM and booked Stephanie again. She cut my back-length hair into shoulder-length layers, which I have to say, looked awesome! Even my husband who preferred long hair on me told me that he actually liked my shorter hair! That is praise indeed.

I trust Stephanie with my hair, and I'll be going back to HM for future hair cuts and styles.

THRILLED TO HAVE FOUND THIS SALON IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

My husband and I moved to Nashville from New York about a year ago. We've been looking for a new hair salon and didn't like the big loud salons we had been to here. We found Hair Maffia on citysearch and were surprised that it was within 5 minutes of our house. We decided to make an appointment with Heidi and booked our appointments at the same time. I had my hair highlighted and cut and my husband had a cut. We had a great time. Heidi has a private room and it was very comfortable and cozy. She really listened to what we both wanted and didn't want. She is such a nice person and we enjoyed talking with her while we were both made over. My husband's hair has never looked better and I am very happy with mine as well. Thank you Heidi for making us feel so special! We'll be back in six weeks!

Great reviews but curious about cost for services!

I'm looking for a new salon and stylist who does a great job and Hair Maf. sounds right up my ally. It's embarrassing to ask prices for cut, color, highlights etc. but I'm on a budget (good tipper though!) Could one of the stylists list the average rates for these services before I make an appointment?

Best salon in Nashville...and I've been to them all

Hair M*fia is the most comforting, inviting salon that I've ever been too. Heidi is sweet, kind, completely understanding and so patient (and I'm a very tough customer, to say the least). She listens and really cares about her customers' needs and goes out of her way to meet them. Not to mention that she's a true professional, and knows her craft to an expert's degree.

In addition, the other stylists are friendly and down to earth when you walk in. It definitely feels like a family. Heidi and Hair M*fia have me as a customer for as long as they are around. Thanks again, Heidi, for helping me over my "hair hurdles". You have no idea how valuable your insight and experience has been to me. And, I really love the haircut you gave me today and appreciate the extra attention and research on the best color product for my sensitive skin. No more hair clips for me!

Anyone who's looking to escape the normal uptight salon atmosphere for something real needs to try this salon. Thanks again, for everything.

I'm Still Saying WOW

I had researched for weeks, looking for a salon that did it all; hair, color, make-up, waxing, etc. Locating a salon that did all these things was not hard to find, but when you are looking for a "total make-over" the field narrowed considerably. I had read the reviews on so many places I couldn't keep them all straight.

Volia!!!! Right under my nose was HM. (I work in Berry Hill). The reviews were good and I had seen many of the clients go in and out of the salon. So, I gave it a shot and called. Heidi recommended CJ for the make over. I was a bit nervous, at first, but CJ put me at ease with her serious questions as to what I did and did not want. Her positive attitude and her great sense of humor made the experience one I will not soon forget!

CJ took before and after photo's, covered the mirror (with my permission) and went to work. 3 hours later I finally got to see what she had done....All I could say WOW, THAT"S ME!!!! I just kept looking in the mirror and couldn't believe how wonderful I looked! The new cut is fantastic! The new color is wonderful! The make-up was perfect. I LOVE THE NEW ME!

It's now been a week since the total make-over, and I'm still surprised evey time I look at myself in the mirror. I can't believe that it's me! The best part of all is how many people don't recognize me, until I say hello. The comments on the new look range from OMG I didn't recognize you, to, you look fantastic. Now that's the kind of make-over I was looking for.

I'm soooooo excited that you loved your total make over! You have such a wonderful attitude...this NEW look...only fits you! You called me that same evening, to tell me what someone special thought of it that's in your life... and I told you that " I had sooooo much fun doing that transformation...that I didn't even realize that I was even working"! I had a blast doing it! I'm so honored...that you trusted me to do what "I" thought you should look like....and just look at your self.................WOW....you look at least 15 years younger!!! The Best Salon Experience in Nashville

The ladies of The Hair Maf*a are phenomenally talented, great people and extremely professional. I have worked with each of them on different projects,: CJ shapes brows beautifully and as painlessly as possible, Heidi and Kristina create masterpieces with hair and make-up for everyone from models to the everyday woman, and Stephanie is the first stylist I have trusted to touch my hair since moving to Nashville from California (where I had a miserable experience with Christophe's on Rodeo!).

I love my time at the salon, all the girls make it the best they can, promoting a comfortable environment, really listening to your requests, talking with you as a friend. As the director of a top modeling agency in Nashville, I direct all my friends and clients to the Hair Maf*a for any services needed and have NEVER heard any complaints.

Altogether wonderful, my favorite part of the Hair Maf*a experience is just what it should be, my hair. I get compliments on it everywhere I go (even return trips to Cali!) and sometimes multiple comments per day. Now, that is a great way to make a girl feel fabulous about herself! Thanks, Steph!

I was unimpressed by all aspects of my visit- the salon itself, the courtesy of the staff and my hair. I am going to another salon today in hopes of repairing the style somehow. In general, I found it to be an unpleasant and uncomfortable visit.

I arrived for my appt and the stylists looked up at me with blank stares, like they were wondering why I was there. I told them who I had an appt with and they said "she's not here right now, she'll probably be here soon." 45 minutes later, my stylist arrived. I should have gone home but I was so excited to get my hair done. She came in and breezily explained that she had been at a photo shoot, and that's why she was late. It was as if I was supposed to be impressed by this and think it would make her being late to my appointment ok. I was angry but tried to be polite. The hairstyle turned out ok, but I will never go back to this salon. The unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy ruined the experience for me.

We always pride ourselves on making sure our clients have a great experience at the Hair Mafia. The two stylists that work in the front of the salon are very sweet and have never been described as discourteous. I'm sorry you perceived it that way. Each of us work on photo shoots from time to time and every once in a while they run longer than expected. I'm not sure which stylist your appointment was booked with but you should have received a call to let you know she was running late. I would be upset too. If you would call the stylist you had your visit with and let her know how you felt, she would be more than happy to give you a refund. Thank you and again we are very sorry. Heidi Love
