I was unimpressed by all aspects of my visit- the salon itself, the courtesy of the staff and my hair. I am going to another salon today in hopes of repairing the style somehow. In general, I found it to be an unpleasant and uncomfortable visit.

I arrived for my appt and the stylists looked up at me with blank stares, like they were wondering why I was there. I told them who I had an appt with and they said "she's not here right now, she'll probably be here soon." 45 minutes later, my stylist arrived. I should have gone home but I was so excited to get my hair done. She came in and breezily explained that she had been at a photo shoot, and that's why she was late. It was as if I was supposed to be impressed by this and think it would make her being late to my appointment ok. I was angry but tried to be polite. The hairstyle turned out ok, but I will never go back to this salon. The unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy ruined the experience for me.

First off, due to moving many many times throughout my life, I have had more stylists than most people have had friends. lol I'm also more picky than most guys. I went to Mafiosa CJ at HM for the first time this week in a frenzy due to my original stylist disappearing, and boy am I glad I did. THE PLACE: To be honest, I read the reviews (which are all great) and thought "These are really good reviews, but noone is THIS good THIS consistently." Well, I thought I would try it out anyway, just to see. WOW. They really are that good! The location is convenient, and the place is so cozy. It was less like going to a great salon, and more like going to a friend's house, who just happens to cut hair. THE PEOPLE: The only ones there when I went were Heidi and CJ. I only spoke with Heidi a bit, as she was with someone, but she did make it a point to meet and shake hands. I like that. CJ is a big cut-up. She's hilarious, and extremely personable, and not in a stylist-to-client sort of way, but genuinely friendly. And working off of the Mafiosa theme, she even played along with my bad, cliched-to-death Goodfellas impression, so CJ rocks. THE CUT: She asked me what I would like to do with my hair ("Can ya give me a cut that makes me look like David Beckham?" rofl). I gave her an idea, and said "the rest is up to you". She gave me my first razor-only cut (to my previous stylists: why did you not tell me about this?!?!), and it was/is great! I have officially found a new stylist. That pretty much covers my review (er, short story) of HM. Would I go somewhere else? (say it with me CJ) fuhgetaboutit!

Pros: The stylists are genuinely friendly, incredible talent, good location

Cons: I didn't find them sooner ;-)

I have spent the past 4 years (since moving to Nashville from Texas) trying to find the ideal stylist. I wanted to find someone who: 1. ) Knew how to give a modern cut 2.) Knew how to perfect the coloring I was after 3. ) Was down to earth but professional 4.) Applied ZERO sales pressure 5. ) Did not have to book 3 months in advance to get in for an appt. Tough order to fill! However, after trying several stylists at the 'top' salons, I found Heidi who met all of my criteria. I have been to Heidi three times and have another appointment scheduled for the weekend. Finally, people are back to complimenting my cut and color and I attribute it all to Heidi. I took in a couple of pictures of Posh Spice's haircut and Heidi was able to duplicate the cut to the exact standards I was hoping for. I recommend Heidi to anyone who realizes that when you feel good about your hair, you feel even better about yourself. Thanks, Heidi!

I was very impressed at how fantastic the whole experience was. I made an appt. with Kristina, and had no waiting time once I got there.Kristina took her time to do a thorough and wonderful job from start to finish. The surroundings extremely comfortable and relaxing. I loved the hair products Kristina used to style my hair. I will be back for sure.

What a great experience!!! I felt like I received attention from Heidi, like I was a movie star. It was nice to go to a salon and not be pressured to buy hair product. Infact, I had to ask what she was using in my hair. I felt very beautiful and love my highlights and cut. Although, I was not offered any wine.....(probably had to do with the fact that I was headed right to work after the appointment) lol. I strongly urge anyone looking for a stylist, to check this place out. Heidi, you are wonderful. Thanks again.

I was referred to this salon by a few friends I work with who go to Heidi. I work for a record label and it's important that my hair looks up to date. Long story short, I LOVE this place! I felt like I was in someone's home and Heidi's private room is very cool . I enjoyed a glass of wine while I had my cut and color done. Best cut & color ever. Heidi is a real pro as well as a sweetheart.

Kristina has been my stylist for 10 years and has always kept up with the latest techniques and styles! When she was in Las Vegas working at the ACM awards, I took it upon myself to get a "lovely box" of color and Lordy...I regreted that! But SHE FIXED my mistake! And can fix yours too!!! She also hooked me up w/ the perfect foundation & lip color! purrrrr! Excellent highlights & a wonder, comfortable enviroment makes going to the salon not stressful but a joy! Makes me feel like a new person! INside & OUT!

Pros: personable, private, GREAT MAKE UP!!!!

Cons: I live in Gallatin bit who care? worth the trip!

Kristina Cheri you are better than all the rest! I have trusted KC for over sixteen years with my hair. She gives a mighty fine men's cut. I highly recommend this salon.

HELP!!! THE PAPPARAZZI ARE FOLLOWING ME!!!! CJ HAS MADE ME INTO A NEW WOMAN AND I FEEL LIKE A STAR...VICTORIA BECKHAM TO BE EXACT. I HAVE HAD EVERYONE FROM MY DENTIST OFFICE, THE BANK, THE DOCTORS OFFICE STOP ME TO ASK..."WHO DOES YOUR HAIR?!!"
