Just keep on driving....

Sorry service...rude, unattentive. Took a half hour to get waited on. No drink refills. You must stand up, wave your arms and shout to get anyone to look your way...after they sigh and roll their eyes, they might come your way. And the food....my, my. I've eaten better mexican out of the frozen food case at Krogers. Not sure how this place stays in business.
Don't waste your time

The food is mediocre at best, but the service is what really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. It takes forever to get seated, forever to get your food, and forget about any refills on anything. It took asking our waitress four times for a salsa refill. There are a lot better in the area for the same amount of $$.
Hott Mess of a Restruant

A group of 4 coworkers including myself decided to dine at the Azteca for lunch on Cinco de Mayo. Before leaving the office we made 2 attempts to call to check on the wait but noone ever answered the phone so we headed there anyway (Problem #1).
When we walked in there were people waiting near the front but we noticed SEVERAL open tables but not hostess or employees in sight. So, we walked over to the bartender who informed us we could sit ouselves. Since all the empty tables were dirty we proceeded to clean the table ourselves before we decided to head to the patio eat and enjoy the nice weather (Double wammy).
After about 10 minutes waitress finally decided to check on us and acted surprised that we didn't have menus and then took our drink orders and said she would bring us out menus...but both never came back with the drinks or menus. So, again we took it upon ourselves to go to the front and grab our own menus. (Problem # 3).
We eventually were approached by another waiter who took our orders but had no clue what a #6, #18, #10, or #2 was and asked to see our menu so he could have a idea of what we were ordering...are you kidding me (Quatro Wammy)!
To wrap it up....After waiting for over an hour for our food we asked the waiter how much longer and he said 10 minutes and proceeded to give us some stupid explanation and said he will have the food out in 2 minutes. (Problem # 5)
So overall, we waited over an hour for our food, served ourselves, and never ever received our food so we opted to just walk out. My coworkers are nicer than I am becuase they ended up paying for the queso we ordered (the only thing we were served)-which should have been free in my opinion.
Azteca upset the wrong person. I will let EVERYONE I know how horrible this place is which sucks for them becuase I cant even comment on the food. Never again Azteca. Never again!
- Pros: Cerro
- Cons: Service, Odor, Food, Overall Experience

Parking Nightmare
by gottheboot at Citysearch
I joined my co-workers for a drink after work. After leaving the restaurant 45 minutes later, I discovered my car had been booted by the shady "Parking Enforcement." They stuck a piece of paper in my window with no specific information on it. The paper said they had "immobilized" my car. I had to call the number on the paper to get my car released. It was some random guy's cell phone. He pulled up in a pick up truck with nothing but a tool and a credit card machine. No uniform, no business card, no identification. He swiped my card for $50, took the boot off, and left. This is what I consider a legal form of robbery. I worked downtown for 3 years and the most I have ever paid for a parking violation is $10. I stopped for a $2 beer and wound up spending $50 for some sleaze ball to release my car. The restaurant did nothing wrong, but I will never be back. If they cared about their customers, the business owners would do something about this scam.
I have eaten there twice. Once I had Chili Colorado with very little meat and way too much garlic (and I love garlic.) The second time I had a beef taco and burrito and the beef had way too much salt

I have eaten there twice. Once I had Chili Colorado with very little meat and too much garlic (and I love garlic.) The second time I had a beef taco and beef burrito and the beef had way too much salt. I am from California and I do not recommend Fiesta Azteca.
- Pros: Great chips and salsa
- Cons: bad food
DO NOT PARK IN THE PAY LOT
by bluegrrl at Citysearch
DO NOT PARK IN THE PAY LOT behind the restaurant, next to Cafe Coco. We paid $5 to park there and got booted anyway. It happened to a couple of other cars that night, too. All of us paid. All of us got booted. All of us had to pay $50 to get the boot removed. I remember joking that we should have recorded ourselves on our cell phones putting money into the slot in case we got towed. We should have. I won't park there again, but if you do, generate your own record for paying. It's a racket. Don't park anywhere where they don't give you a receipt.
Repeated Disappointment
by creativegenious at Citysearch
Visited Azteca on several occasions each time service was horrible. Even on slow days the service was worse than busy days. The wait staff bordered lazy and uncaring. But if you can stomach the service/wait staff the food is a 5 on a scale of 10.
- Pros: Decent food
- Cons: Horrible customer service and attention to detail
