Hobby Lobby has a good selection of RC Model Airplanes and accessories. One thing I didn't like about the store is that most of their merchandise is on warehouse racks that is not visible. You have to ask for certain items and then the employees have to go get them for you. The prices are fairly competitive.

Not the same experience as everyone else

Unfortunately, my experience has not been the same as others who have written reviews. I ordered a Wing Dragon and a spare battery about two weeks ago. A first time customer. I paid extra for faster shipping. Not the fastest, but not regular USPS.

The battery showed up within four days. No plane. I checked the website and Hobby Lobby says it shipped at the same time.

The package containing the battery says "1 of 1" on the shipping label.

I've emailed Hobby Lobby inquiring. No response after about a week. (I had emailed earlier to get details on another plane... thinking to buy it. No response to that either. Thank goodness I didn't order it.)

I admit I have not phoned them yet, but most places respond at least eventually when you put "Missing Order" in the subject line.

I don't expect to ever hear from them. Nor do I expect the plane to ever show up at this point. I'll keep the worthless battery. Not worth shipping back to them. But on the first business day after the holiday, I'll have my credit card stop payment. I don't pay for things I don't receive.

First and last time I deal with them.

One of the best RC hobby web sites!

I've been a customer for almost 10 years and have been very happy. When an order does go wrong (twice in 10 years), a quick phone call fixes things. The web site is well-organized with similar items grouped together along with an index for the hard to find treasures.

• Pros: Good selection, good sales on occaision
• Cons: Sometimes out of stock.

THE ONLY LINK YOU'LL EVER NEED

If you are buying now or just looking ... Hobby-Lobby is the place. They have almost everything you'll ever need and the customer service to back it up.

The site is the most user friendly I have found ... and the people? ... you just won't better to work with.
