I love this place!

I have read some of the recent reviews and think they are crazy. I go to Rusan about once a week and I love it every time. The fish is fresh, the staff is nice, and the prices are cheap. For the money there is no better Sushi in nashville. Oh and don't every forget about the lunch buffet!!

okay, so i am reading reviews about the terrible customer service and yada yada yada.

i have been here numerous times and the staff and chef's have always been kind and fun.

the first time i took a bite of their sushi i fell in love. that may sound overdramatic but i love my sushi (gone with the wind is amazing!) and the places in murfreesboro where i am from rip you off. Rusans gives me a good amount of sushi for a great price and most of their rolls are HUGE. their one dollar sushi rolls are a favorite of mine too. i took my boyfriend here and he loved it, and i also took my friend here who does not like sushi so she ordered chicken terriyaki and she liked it alot she is also really picky with her food as well! the music is fun, techno, and great. Rusans is targeted toward the hip nashville scene. so, i am sorry if the music was too loud this ain't your grandparents house. deal with it. my boyfriend and friends LOVE it here. we dance while we eat, haha and if you sit at the bar and are nice and friendly to the chef they even give you free appetizers or dessert! this place is also right next to urban so after eating i usually shop. it's heaven. i love rusan's. :)

Great Sushi and Fun Place to unwind

Me and my boyfriend went here for some after work Sushi and what a great place. We sat at the Sushi bar and the Chef kept giving us free samples of things he was making and was very helpful in choosing off of their huge menu. The prices are right too. For both of us with drinks it was under 35 dollars which is great. The waitstaff seems a little unknowledgeable but if you sit at the bar the chefs are spot on!

Go for the amazing lunch buffet!!!

Living on a budget these days, Ru Sans has been the answer to my fiance's and my prayers! $10 all-you-can-eat sushi for lunch is good enough, but add the selection of hot foods like orange chicken, fried rice and tempura and you have an all-out deal!! We love Ru Sans :) Been there for dinner too, and it's of course, just as good then, but you can't beat the lunch price!

• Pros: Great lunch buffet!!! Delicious food
• Cons: Atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, and dinner can be a little pricey

Chef, Funny, and mostly excellent food

I can't understand those people who commented negative here but you know if I was you just check the place and you will not forget the place and the quality of the food. Someone said here to sit in the bar and I sat at the very front of the bar in which it was so fun chatting with the knolegable chef that explains almost the whole menu to me because I was so picky on foods but as soon as he knows what fish I wanted he narrowed it for me which helps me alot. He made all my sushi and gave me the most unforgettable bday of my life. He even let me dance on the bar because it was my birthday, and take note they let me shake my behind ...just one recommendation: sit at the bar and find Chef Nelson and he will do the rest and makes your day.

Best Ever Sushi Place Ive Been

Im from out of town and I had a conference here in nashville and I heard this place was good so I tried. I went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. I sat in the bar coz I was alone but I was surprise that a chef could talk to me and he is good I mean really good coz he entertained me so good and served me with his specials he said ( wich is out of the menu). Food was so GREAT, fresh fish and THE PLACE WAS FUN. Just when you go there I recommend for you to stay at the sushi bar and sit at Chef Nelson ( if that was his right name he gave me) and ask for his specials

This Restaurant is the Best !!!!!

i have been all over the United States trying all different kinds of food specially sushi but this is the BEST!!! Fresh fish with the most accommodating Chef..... the place was so cool having a sushi with the loud techno music by which I like because Im still "YOUNG' ..... not like those comments here probably they are veterans who does not like loud music.

Inform your host/ess to sit you down at Chef Nelsons station because he is the best, he will treat you like a queen, hes so sweet and so accommodating that I want to take him home to be my husband.

Love this place

I AM ALWAYS RUSAN'S FAN

Despite a lot of reviews here, Good or not good...blabla bla, I am still coming back to Ru san's, sometimes you don't get good service, everywhere else i go sometimes worse than here, but most important i've got a good food, music little bit loud, but hell yea.... is a fun place, i've met so many good people there, so Ru San's good job!, keep the buffet table full at lunch please!
