BEWARE!UNSAFE!!! worst club EVER
by nooneyouknow
BE WARY! We went to have a good time. All we encountered 100% unsafe environment. I had items stolen directly off my body. When we asked employees and managers for help (as we knew who had done it), we were confronted with rudeness and 100% lack of helpfulness. I would NEVER go to this club again. Well, maybe if I had items I wanted to get rid of but didn't have the time to drop off at goodwill. I cannot warn you enough about this place. I also know someone who was drugged at this club (which I only found out about after my experience).
- Pros: none- don't even deserve the one star I'm giving.
- Cons: too many to list
BB would be ashamed.

I would like to inform you of the behavior, attitude, and lack of courtesy and concern we received from your Bar Manager, Susan Zoesch, during an atrocious experience we had at BB King's Nashville during the BB King concert on Dec. 9th.
I realize that the fifty dollar per person standing room ticket does not entitle anyone to VIP treatment, but I believe it entitles the purchaser to at the very least have the PA speakers for the standing room section to be turned on. The service we received for our meal and drinks for the 2 hours prior to the sound debacle was courteous attentive and professional. When sound did not improve by the third song of BB's set (not to mention the completely inaudible opening act), I felt I was not getting my money's worth and asked to see a manager. The bartender (he was a young man with tatoos and was working the back bar) was very courteous and agreed that sound was a problem, and immediately went to get the manager. He informed me that he was already speaking to my wife and directed me to the lower bar cash register were Susan and my wife were. Susan stated (her words) "There are plenty of people up there with your same problem. There is a problem with sound." When we asked for a refund for our tickets and to leave, Susan turned to enter my credit card information and used a curse word meaning cow manure. We were well within earshot. We were absolutely mortified. There was no apology or any attempt to rectify any part of the situation. I am a lifelong fan of BB King. I was heartbroken.
Shame on you for being representatives of one the greatest ambassadors of American Culture and Class, to treat B.B.'s fans, in B.B.'s club, in B.B's presence, so shabbily. I pray that the giant of a man that BB King is, never hears of how his fans, (and patrons of his namesake establishment,) received so little consideration, or courtesy. For Shame.
- Pros: Bartenders were courteous.
- Cons: Management was surly and unproffesional
Fun, and great live bands....
by CryForMe
This is a great place to go with a group of friends for dancing and music. Admittedly I couldn't tell you what the food tastes like, but the bar makes a mean Washington Apple and the band is always good, the music is mainly geared toward a more mature blues, 70's loving, R&B kind of crowd. But that's what keeps us coming back.
- Pros: The band, and bar
- Cons: Hard to keep a table
Very Nice
by travelforfun
I am from California and I came to Nashville to visit a friend. We made a few stops and this was one of them. This is a very nice place. Maybe a more mature crowd. Friendly staff, good music. A great place to have a drink, listen to music, and just enjoy. Not a wild or crazy place if that's what you are looking for. I would definitely go again!
B.B. King's Caliente Night is the best salsa nights in town if you don't like crowded places
by mentiroso
I went to BB Kings on Saturday for the salsa nights downstairs, Caliente Nights and I was very pleased with the friendly atmosphere. The bartenders and the band member were very nice. I liked that is was not very crowded and the dancing floor was very open. This is the only place that has a live latin band in town. I love that. Check it out!
- Pros: Great price, great music, nice people
- Cons: sometime you have to call and find out if there will be Salsa that week
Great staff, great food, great music

I have been to BB Kings on several occasions, and I have never been dissapointed. I the food is EXCELLENT! I am not a big fan of hot wings, but theirs are amazing. The overall atmoshpere is great. Last time I was there, they were packed, but our waitress was still very personable, and didn't make us feel rushed at all. It is one of those clubs that you can literally lose track of time in because you are having such a good time!
- Pros: everything!!
- Cons: it is a little higher in price, but worth every penny!
Popular Memphis import brings the blues to downtown.

In Short
A clientele of 30- to 50-somethings pack this enormous, multiroom club from the small dance floor to the restaurant seating in the rear, which features a view of the Cumberland River and football coliseum. Live entertainment is available every night and folk art paintings of Muddy Waters, Carl Perkins and Chuck Barry cover the brick walls. The menu has a Beale Street theme: pulled pork and catfish sandwiches, Delta-fried shrimp, Memphis wings and gumbo.
Go mid-week

I've heard a lot of people say they were tripping over other patrons, but I went on a Tuesday, had a fantastic time, and it really wasn't that busy. Parking wasn't a big deal, either, because there were metered spaces available (the meters don't require coinage at night).
- Pros: Unique atmosphere, LIVE Blues music!, Ideal location
- Cons: Can be crowded, Expensive drinks
Great for groups
by mojojesso
B.B. King's is a great place to go with a group of friends. It is very crowded so I would recommend reservations. I went with a group of 13 for 3 friends' birthdays, and when we let the band know that it was a birthday night, they sang a song for my friends. We even saw a couple get engaged! B.B. King's is great for all kinds of people just looking for some good food and music. Make sure you bring a little money to the bathroom! :)
- Pros: music, food, service
- Cons: Parking - use garage, crowded, expensive
Great Bar for Great Music
by thackerydavis
I love BB Kings. I go every chance I get when I am with my friends. I was down there and caught a great show in the Blue Room downstairs. It was Sky Taylor. I had never seen that place as packed as it was that night. She brought down the house. I love that venue so much. It is just the right size. It is small enough to be quaint, but roomy enough not to be sufficating. I love there.
- Pros: live music, size, staff
- Cons: can get crowded
