My Second Home Pet Resort

I have been taking my dog to My 2nd Home since they opened. They are always friendly and excited to see her. I have noticed that there are many of the same people working there for the last couple of years. It's a relief to know that the place isn't a revolving door for employees. My dog seems to have a great time everytime she is there and leaves very happy. My only complaint is that they are more expensive than some of the other pet resorts that we have visited out of state. They also raise their rates at "peak season." I'm okay with that because this is the only boarding facility in Nashville where I feel comfortable leaving my dog and I don't worry about her my whole trip!

Pros: Friendly & inviting atmosphere

Cons: Pricey & "Peak Season" rates

we just took our dog sadie, a 6 yr. old greyhound mix to My Second Home for the 1st time while we were in Montana for almost a week. When we went to pick her up we could immediately tell that she had a great time; she came and greeted us and gave us a hug and then wanted to go and play. She cried half the way home and avoided us; you could really tell that she missed her new friends! My Second Home costs a little more than the vet's boarding but is much much much better. The last time we had boarded her at her vet's office and when i went to pick her up she nearly knocked me over and made a beeline for my car in the parking lot and clung to me like glue; you could tell she wanted out of there! When we picked her up from my second home she was clean and happy. we were given a report card of how she had played with the other dogs, how she had eaten and her elimination. we also had a picture of her playing in the yard outside!!! you could tell she was having fun in the picture and was in the middle of having a blast!! they also place name tag collars on them so that they can identify them and it has their business address and number just in case they were to jump over the fence or something. they also gather a lot of info. when you bring your pet in such as where they like to be petted; what are their favorite toys and activities. they adapt to your dog; i.e. our dog does not eat on a schedule, they said that was fine and that they would just leave her bowl in her place. i cannot say how happy we were to have found my second home for our dog; it is worth every penny and we will be going back!!

My Second Home is one of the best kennels I have ever been to. The staff there is wonderful and really takes care of my dog. They know everything about him when I arrive to pick him up. They fill out little report cards so you know how your pet did. I have never had a problem with any of the areas there. JoJo (my dog) loves coming there and I feel like he is getting a vacation as well! I will never take my dog any where else! i wish they would open a few more up because I know we could never have too many! You will not be disappointed after your stay with My Second Home!!

Pros: everything. Staff, location & facility

My Second Home goes above and beyond any expectations of any boarding/grooming kennel I have ever seen. The staff there is incredible front and back! When I leave my dog there whether it be for boarding, grooming, or daycare I know she is well taken care of. Everyone there knows her and treats her like one of their own! This place is amazing and I would reccomend it to anyone. If it were not for the girls up front and the people at the doors every morning I dont know where I'd be! They are a huge help. This is the best kennel yet!

We discovered My Second Home about a year ago and we have been using them for boarding and grooming ever since. We have also tryed their daycare and would come every day except we live about 25 miles away. :( We love the staff and they seem to know our dogs and have become their second family. We forgot our vacination records and they offered to take care of it for us by contacting our vet. They actually have a greeter at the door to help with belongings and getting our pets inside the building safely. This is especially helpfull as I do not have to get my baby out of the car to drop the dogs off!! Whew! The report cards are great and always thruthful. If something goes wrong or one of my guys misbehaved, they alway let me know and make positive suggestions. Please open another facility closer to Hendersonville!!! All of the staff really seems to care about my "family" and the extra services they offer are great. We highly recomend Our second home!

We have been going to My Second Home for years. My dog can not wait to get out of the car when we arrive. I love knowing that my dog is still able to play while we are away. My Second Home offers several fun things for dogs to do while they are there. The kennel staff is always great. I have had to talk to a manager on a few occasions in regards to food, and they always make me feel like they watch my dog better than I do. I will say that I have to agree with some of the comments left by others about the front desk staff. I'll just say that I am glad they are not the people that are caring for my dog. This place would be flawless if the front end cared as much as the back end. But how my dog is treated is priority here and I would recommend them to anyone.

I had the best experience here. I have been to about 10 other kennels in the last year. My 2nd Home is by far the BEST!!! They treat my pet like their pet! I have taken my dog to 2 other kennels in the past 3 months and I will not take her back anywhere else! I have had the worst experience with doggy daycares... my dog was allways coming home sick... now that she goes to My 2nd Home 2x a week she is never sick! Thank you goes out to all the workers at My 2nd Home! I know that another person on here said that they were they worst and I can tell you that is not true at all! The techs in the back as well as some of the women up front are amazing! They were all very sweet to me and my dog.... including knowing her by name!! THANKS AGAIN MY 2ND HOME YOU GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB!!!!

Pros: The guy who opens the door for you and comes out to get your dog

Cons: none that i have encountered

Have taken my family pets several times to My Second Home and they have always had a great stay. Their new porter service where they come and greet you outside and help you in with your pets items is fabulous. It makes your check-in experience so much easier. The staff are wonderful and always greet my pets by name. Love to get back from our trips and find my dogs happy and healthy. We will be back!!

I visited My Second Home to get a good look at the facility before boarding my dogs there. I was waiting in the lobby to take a tour and was very displeased to see an animal being admitted with out the correct vaccinations. I turned and walked out. I am not comfortable taking my dogs anywhere they might get sick.

We have taken our precious pets to My Second Home since they opened. Because we travel quite a bit, we have used this wonderful place on at least 40 occasions for boarding and grooming. The building and pet accomodations are tops, and the staff is very friendly and always helpful. The place is always clean as a whistle, and our dogs tug to get in the door! This says a lot about how much they enjoy coming, and they are always returned clean and happy. We highly recommend My Second Home to anyone who loves their pets and want the very best for them while they cant be home with them. We have many friends that use My Second Home, and we have recommended them to many. Kudos to the staff for caring for our "family".
