See and Be Seen. Only go to Mafiaoza's if you are a "see and be seen" person. The wait is never less than 30 minutes. Apps are ok, but I can make better pizza at home. Nuff' said.
The embarrassment of 12th South.. Bad food, foul mouthed waiters and an armed guard to greet you. What else could you want?
TERRIBLE. This place was very crowded on Thursday night. Food was bland and overpriced for the quality. Service was terrible. We waited for our order 40 minutes, ordered salads, pasta, appetizers. I don't think these take long to prep. Side fries didn't have any salt and were soggy. Lasagna was average. Salads are ok. Very noisy, parking is a huge problem. I don't understand why this place is so popular because food and service is TERRIBLE. This is my first and last time @ Mafiaoza's.…
Wonderful!. We had a wonderful meal and terrific service. I'm surprized at the negative reviews because our experience was very good and the pizza and salads were delicious. Maybe we hit it on a good night, but it was certainly crowded which indicates that somebody must like it!…
Never got the chance.
I was invited to attend a meeting of Liberty on the Rocks. My schedule is open and I was looking forward to it.
I checked out the restaurant and their policies.
Since they posted, I cannot carry inside; I will not attend. I do not support restaurants that are anti-2nd Amendment.
Whether I chose to carry inside and not drink, or not carry and drink, does not matter. We don't think alike. I would feel uncomfortable spending any money there.
The owner made his choice.
I made mine.
Ain't America great!…
Soggy Pizza, Poor Service.
The service: We went to the bar to get a glass of wine and a coke for my son. The buzzer went off before we could get the coke, and the waiter would not bring us one, without charging us for it,
even though I had the receipt. I had to go back to the bar and wait for the waitress to bring me the coke.
The food: I had a similar experience to lstover37235, the pizza crust was soggy and all of the toppings were piled in the middle. When we told the waiter, his solution was to tell them to spread the toppings out the next time we ordered. Excuse me? I have to tell Mafioza's how to cook pizza? There will be no next time.…
Why is this place popular????.
I've been to Mafiaoza's several times (not by choice) and been completely unimpressed with it every time.
The pizza has been soggy and unimpressive, everything else has been mediocre and overpriced.
People seem to think it's a good place, perhaps I've just been on every off night they have ever had?…
No Way.
My girlfriend and I went to Mafiaozas last Friday night for a casual dinner and some wine. We got there about 7:45pm and were told it would be about a 20 minute wait. We moved out of the way and
waited for our name to be called or buzzer to buzz.
That was when we noticed the 88 food inspection score sitting in a frame tucked back behind a few other pictures. It was clear they were trying to hide this low score without looking like they were trying to hide this low score. We giggled a little because we both have worked in the restaurant business and know that anything below a 90 is a major screw up. But everything smelled good so we stuck around.
It was right about this time that we noticed a large, bald man in a suit talking to a couple who had come in after us. It was clear he was a manager of some sort and that there was a deal in the works. He gave a knowing nod, walked away and came back with two menus and took their buzzer. They were seated and my girlfriend and I were a little miffed but understood that that just happens sometimes. That coupled with the 88 food inspection score should have been enough warning but it was after 8 and we didn't want to have to go and wait somewhere else.
We should have left because a few minutes later the exact same scenario played out only this time it was a couple of cute girls getting sat before us by one of the waiters. We were done with that joint. I handed the hostess the buzzer and clearly explained why we were leaving. How exclusive does this chain Italian restaurant they think they can be? A chain restaurant who can barely pass a health inspection. I will never be back.
We ended up at Alfansos off of Murfreesboro in Antioch. The meal was delicious and we had a great time with the staff and other patrons. Now THAT is restaurant y'all should be looking into.…
Pizza was a Flop.
I went to M's for the first time last weekend and was expecting it to be wonderful. All of my college friends go on a regular basis and rave about it (but then they mostly go for the beer).
When we got there on a Saturday night at 8ish the wait was 45 min. Not bad. When we finally sat down, we had fried ravioli stick (which were delicious) and all ordered pizza.
This was the WORST pizza I have ever had in my entire life. The crust was thin and limp, because I had ordered a slice all the toppings were in the very middle. The broccoli was raw and there was a very small handful of cheese sprinkled over the top of the toppings pile.…
this pizza travels well!. I lived in Nashville for a short time for work and ate at this fine place many nights a week. A week ago, my girlfriend was back in Nashville (we live in LA) and the good folks were kind enough to pack up a couple of pizzas into a hot bag that she could bring back to me in LA. The pizza was just as good after traveling as it was in the shop... the only thing missing were the good people and atmosphere that Mafiaoza's has to offer! Keep on rockin' out the good eats!…
