this pizza travels well!
by mgh
I lived in Nashville for a short time for work and ate at this fine place many nights a week. A week ago, my girlfriend was back in Nashville (we live in LA) and the good folks were kind enough to pack up a couple of pizzas into a hot bag that she could bring back to me in LA. The pizza was just as good after traveling as it was in the shop... the only thing missing were the good people and atmosphere that Mafiaoza's has to offer! Keep on rockin' out the good eats!
- Pros: food, drink, servers, owners
- Cons: not in LA
great so far!
by maryj911
i suggest you go on any other night than tuesday......
it has wonderful pizza (i'm a thin crust lover my self)
but by far the alfredo pasta was to die for,and it only cost 8.50 + tax and they give you a huge plate
+ sundays are 2 for 1 beer night which is cool
- Pros: best alfredo in town
- Cons: tuesdays are horrible....2 hour waiting list
HORRIBLE
by DouglasF
Waited 2 hours to be seated, no one came around for 45 minutes after we were seated. I decided to talk to someone and they were very rude and informed me I could leave if I wasn't happy. I decided to wait it out even though I was angry. the food came finally and it was utterly disgusting, Not to mention they got the order wrong and refused to take it back, the waitress said "it is what it is you can leave if you don't like it". Well I did leave and I did not pay. There were also people seated near us who also left without even eating. We all talked in the parking lot about how horrible the food was and we also told a bunch of people going in and they turned around and left.
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: Long wait, horrible food, horrible service, rude employees!!
Fun place to go with friends

I had a great time at Mafiaoza's. The wine selection was great, and our server was very knowledgeable. The bbq pizza was good as was the appetizer selection. The patio was very nice and I'd recommend sitting out there when possible. Tuesday is a great time to check it out (2-for-1 pizza and drinks), but if you prefer a calmer crowd, go another night. It stays open late (3am), so go early if you aren't into the younger drinking scene--if you are, then it's definitely for you.
- Pros: great wine selection, tasty food
- Cons: slower service sometimes
I love this place

I love going to Mafiaoza's. It is always busy and the food is great! Cheese ravioli sticks are huge and addicting, Pastas are large portions 12" pizzas end up being16" s and are always hot and tasty! I don't suggest slices they are pre cooked and it ends up being the same price or cheaper to split a small pizza. Sunday is 2-4-1 all beers!
Bonus:There is always a tall hot server in bar area on Thursdays. She is always friendly and gives great service & she is on Tv. I became a regular because she made me feel so welcome. My 5 year old loves going too because the kids can get pizza dough to play with!
- Pros: best whole pizzas, hot servers
- Cons: slices are not great
Terrible Bar Service
by cat13
Twice in two weeks friends and I decided to head to Mafi's for drinks. Both times the blonde woman bartending the back (outside) bar could not have been any worse. Both times it took over 10 minutes to get her to pay attention to us and offer to get us something. (There were only about 10 other people at the bar and surrounding tables all of whom had already been served.) Not once did I see her smile to a single customer or fellow employee. She never even really spoke to us or showed any emotion-- except for the look of disdain she wore so well. She treated us with absolutely NO courtesy and as though we were putting her out by making her do her job. I work in the industry and I gotta tell you, I would NEVER think of treating my customers the way this mean, cranky, unwelcoming bartender treated me and my friends. She should be fired and replaced by someone who would enjoy working and having fun with their customers. Unfortunately, I hear she dates the boss man. I love hanging at Mafi's but I will NEVER sit at her bar again.
- Pros: fun place to hang
- Cons: if you can get a drink
Don't Plan to Return
by Maw
last night we came to celebrate my oldest daughters birthday. Her inlaws planned this and drove from Columbia to be there. It was horrible. We expected a long wait time, but the service was awful. Most everyones food was fine (once we got it) but mine wasn't (I decided to order something different), but it was not at all the same thing the menu described. One of the other guest order spaghetti and it wasnt
throughly cooked, tough. She told the waiter, then he forgot and by the time he finally came around again, everyone was finished eating! She asked for it to go. She really should have told him to forget it. She wasn't going to eat it anyway. Then mine and 2 other tickets were wrong (overcharges) and we had to wait. Was 10:30pm before the inlaws left and later for us. We have been to your restaurant several times, but this was really bad.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Waiting Time
Meh

We went on Tuesday for the special. It was packed which excited me because I knew noone would be waiting and cramped into this place for no reason.
I dont know if it was an off night or if it was me. I wasnt impressed at all. For as long as this pizza took (server said the kitchen got backed up) I thought my tastebuds would feast on a piece of heaven. They were disappointed yet again.
Crust as thin as a piece of paper. Literally. Barely any sauce. It was ok and waiting for a long time for ok pizza diminished the taste even more.
I will not return. My husband said that Sam's Club is better and I agree.
- Pros: Great Crowd
- Cons: Pizza
Huge Disappointment
by xizor
I've never eaten in a restaurant where I couldn't even hear the people sitting next to me. Do not go on a Sat. night (or any other crowded time) if you like conversation. Noisy doesn't begin to describe this place. The pizza was pathetic on both trips (I won't make another) due to the terrible crust. The only redeeming factors are the hot waitresses and cool location. Neither of these factors warrant a trip.
- Pros: staff is hot, outdoor dining
- Cons: noise level, food
Don't order the pasta
by seaheart
I was really looking forward to trying Mafiozo's. It is situated in a neat neighborhood, and we were able to dine on the patio, which was nice. However, I think I may have made a mistake in not ordering pizza. For some reason, I was in the mood for spaghetti, but not for long! My pasta was so waterlogged that the noodles were literally mush. I rarely complain about food, and have almost never sent my entree back, but I just couldn't justify filling myself with something that tasted so awful. I had to wait quite a while for the waiter to return. He was apologetic, but when the dish returned it was only slightly less mushy. You'd think that if I complained about overdone pasta, the kitchen staff would have been sure to re-do it almost in an underdone state. I didn't have the heart to send it back again, and I just ate some of my husband's pizza. I haven't had a desire to go back after that experience, but maybe someday I'll go back and be sure to only order pizza, which is more their specialty.
- Pros: Nice setting
- Cons: They can't cook noodles right!
