RUDE PEOPLE AND AWFUL FOOD!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!. I will NEVER waste my money in this place again. They over charge, are mean, rude, and don't care about customer service. The food is stale, old, and the salsa is the worst I have ever had. If I opened a can of cheap tomatoes and crushed them...that would be better than their salsa. The food is over priced and you can get much much better Mexican right down the street at Cinco de Mayo. No wonder the few times I have been it has never been busy!!! Conco is always packed....there's a reason for this!! HATE THIS PLACE!!! GROSS FOOD AND HORRIBLE STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never Again. I have been to this restaurant a handful of times and have had no problems up until the last 2 times I visited. One of the two incidents was the margaritas. In the past the margaritas were very good. But this time it tasted like the sour mix they used was 50 years old. The other incident was, we arrived at 9pm (i notice on here it says they're open until 9:30) and they kept telling us that they were going to close in 5 minutes. So I told them we'd go elsewhere. Well they insisted on seating us and that they could serve us. Only when we were seated the waitress was telling us we had to order right then because they were closing in 5 minutes. Needless to say we left and went accross the street to Chilis.

Best Chicken Soup I've ever had.. This is your typical Mexican restaurant for Americans aside from the Chicken Consomme soup. It's excellent, $3.50 and filled me up. They take a very spicy consomme broth and add big chunks of chicken with rice, pico de gallo and cilantro. I concentrate on this dish only because I don't plan on ordering anything else there, and I will look for it at other mexican places. The only bad part of the trip was the fact that I accidently left behind the tamale that I was too full to eat.

Love it!!!!. We love this restaurant! In fact my little sister (preteen) won't eat mexican food but we brought her here and she loved it. There is something on the menu for everyone. Excellent Service (can't say that enough) and we love the family friendly environment. Excellent all the way around. Also even when busy we've never had to wait to long, but we go early. But the wait would be worth it.

Good lunch experience. I first went to Palmas Verde the other day for lunch with my gf. The ambience was pretty and airy. The service and food were good. The only negative thing I found was the the chips that were brought to the table tasted a little stale.

A colorful, family-friendly Mexican restaurant with a broad menu.. In Short
This Hermitage restaurant creates a cheerful atmosphere with decor that recalls a Mexican village: a large, open atrium with pastel walls, faux verandas and colorfully tiled tables. Clientele consists mainly of families with small children. The menu is broad and features some regional specialties. Standouts include the burrito Jalisco, with shredded beef and melted cheese; a mole ranchero, with sauteed chicken and red mole sauce; and tacos al carbon, with grilled rib eye meat.
