Maisie's is a great place for lunch. I really like the pork chops and mashed potatoes and the fresh cooked turnip greens. They have everything where you can see it when you decide what to get, and you can tell them to give you more of this or less of that. It's probably the closest thing to home cooking and atmosphere that I have experienced in the area. I confidently recommend Maisie's to anyone looking for a change from the normal lunch fare of burgers and fries. Although, if it's a burger you want, the last time I had one of their burgers it was excellent with fries not dropped till you order.
Pros: Friendly "country kitchen" atmosphere, good food, daily selection visible to help you decide.

Eating lunch or breakfast at Maisie's reminds of what's it was like to at at home with the entire family. It's noisy but happy, crowded but comfortable, and the food tastes just like it did when you were a kid. The evening meals are definitely NOT meat-n-three menu items - this is where Susan really shines, and when you can tell she went to school to learn to cook, but the atmosphere remains the same as it is at lunchtime. Don't eat at Maisie's if you like to dine in lonely silence! And especially if you don't want to speak to anyone! Mary remembers what the regulars drink and has their glass filling while they're still looking for a table. Susan shouts at everyone who comes in, and calls most of them by name. The place is so packed at mealtime that I've learned to come an hour earlier or later just to get a parking spot. What does she put into those mashed potatos? I don't know, but they're the best ever!
Pros: Food, comfortable atmosphere, service
Cons: Parking, closes early during the week, opens late on Saturday

This is THE place to go for breakfast,lunch,or dinner on Thursdays and Fridays.All the food is fresh,you can watch the truck unload the fresh vegtables while you are having breakfast.The pecan pie is to die for! What are you waiting for? GO TRY MAISIES,ITS THE BEST!!!!!!

Maisies is the place where everybody knows your name, and the food is just like grandma's. This is THE true meat-n-three -- no fancy gourmet pretend homecookin' -- this is the REAL DEAL. Chicken-n-dumplins to die for, and homemade banana puddin' for desert -- all washed down with a big glass of sweet tea. Tell Susan and Mary I sent you!
