My 1st visit to Rodney's and let me just say this, I will NEVER go anywhere else to get my hair done. Jason has got to be the best stylist I have ever been to in all my 31 years. He listened to what I had to say, advised me on color, talked to me like he'd known me forever, he was extremely informative and was born to style! And he's just as cute as a button to boot. He was very courteous, offering me beverages and magazines while I waited. The vibe inside was very upbeat and friendly. All of the stylists were polite and I will be recommending them to ALL of my girlfriends!!!! If you want your hair done right, go to Rodney's!!

Pros: Atmosphere and service is unbelievable!

Cons: Finding a parking spot sucked!

I went here to get my eyebrows waxed and a haircut. I told them exactly what I wanted: thick eyebrows and a haircut that would accentuate my waves. What I got what were thin eyebrows and a perfectly straight haircut. I pretty much looked exactly like my hairdresser which isn't going to work for me. I told her many times that I didn't want to spend the 40 minutes every morning straightening my hair, but yet that's exactly what she did for me. Also, the area underneath my eyebrows started scabbing the next day - not a good look!!! I will not go back.

Rodney Mitchell Salon is AWESOME! Not only does he have two locations - one in The Village and one in The Factory in Franklin- but he was featured in the book 'How Not To Look Old' on Oprah! You don't get that kind of recognition without earning it! He's awesome! The whole staff is awesome- you can't go wrong. I've been going to both locations now for years and send everyone I know there. The atmosphere is gorgeous, hip, artistic yet comfortable and in the two hippest places a hair salon could be- 21st Ave and Downtown Franklin. This salon is just what Nashville needed and I'm so excited every time I go because I know I'm going to feel great, look great and have a fun time while I'm there. do yourself a favor and visit one of his salons, you won't regret it and you'll be impressed beyond words!

Pros: Most wonderful cut and highlights I've had in my 18 yrs. in Nashville!

I like to get my hair done a lot and I have been to most salons in the area, and hands down, this is the best salon in town. I have never had a problem with the staff and I have always been treated great. The salon is in excellent condition and I love the atmosphere there. If you are a lady and are looking for an excellent color and cut stylist, I suggest you try and book with Stephanie. She is fabulous. In conclusion, I absolutely love this salon and I think anyone else that tries it out will like it as well.

It's a young youthful place with a lot of energy and class. I have been to salons all over the world and I can say that the Rodney Mitchell Salon is one of the most amazing if not the best salon I have ever been to. Lauren Augustine gave me the exact cut and color that I wanted. I was thrilled with my results!

Pros: Friendly, Talented, and Beautiful staff and ambience

The salon is a very nice salon. Young people and not as professional as I wanted. I feel it could have been more inviting. Although, I did get a good cut it was not the cut I wanted. I took in lots of pictures of the cut I wanted. My stylist did not really look at the pictures. We discussed a little bit about what she was going to do. She said only a few layers. I have more layers than I have ever had, even when I asked for them. The cut is not the same as in the pictures. I know because the pictures were of me and it is not the same. I feel like she gave me the cut she wanted instead of what I was showing her I wanted. I don't know how I could have been more specific than 6 pictures.

If you want to feel great about your hair schedule an appointment with Adam. He is wonderful. Adam makes your hair shine and feel naturally beautiful. Can't wait to move back to Nashville to go back to Rodney Mitchell on 21st Ave. Want to be young and stylish - see Adam!

If you want someone who is an absolute perfectionist and will make sure you are satisfied with your cut every single time, go see Adam at Rodney Mitchell! He is one of the nicest, most wonderful stylists you will ever meet and is consistently good. He won't let you leave until you're satisfied...always wants to know that you are happy. I have been going to him for over 6 months now and have yet to be disappointed.

I always go to Adam, and he is the BEST.... attentive, sweet, and skilled. I have never been anything less than thrilled with his work, and I have had my hair cut, colored and highlighted by him many times. He follows instructions perfectly. All you have to do is explain what you want, and he'll make you look better than you ever imagined! The staff is friendly, and you are served a drink upon arrival and made very comfortable. The funky decor is awesome, and although the prices may seem a bit steep to some, the incredible service is worth every penny. I am from San Francisco and I have never been to a good salon that charges less. EVERYONE GO HERE!!
