OK Sports Bar

Contrary to another post on here the waitress's are far from smoking... As a matter of fact they are only smoking because that's what they do. The bar tenders sit behind the bar and smoke. I would imagine that the other post is written by one of the employees... All that aside, it's an okay sports bar. There really isn't anything else in Hermitage. It's a little dark inside which gives it that dive atmosphere but you can have a good time there. I wouldn't go there to pick up chicks but if you want a place to let loose and get hammered... It'll suit you just fine.

• Pros: Always a place to sit. Food is pretty good.
• Cons: Old Golden Tee game. Smoky. Could be priced better

I LOVE THIS PLACE

THIS PLACE IS LIKE CHEERS EV EVRYONE IS SO FRIENDLY AND KNOWS YOUR NAME AND MAKES YOU FEEL RIGHT AT HOME. I LOVE THE BEER SELECTION WITH OVER 100 BEERS. THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT WITH ALL THE TV'S AND ONE KICKING JUKE BOX THAT YOU CAN PLAY ANYTHING YOU WANT. PILLYCHEESESTEAK YUM. THE PIZZA HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST IN TOWN. THERE IS A PROBLEM WHEN ONE PERSON COMES IN AND WANTS TO SIT AT THE BAR AND LISTEN TO A PREDATORS GAME OR A FOOTBALL GAME WHEN 25 OR 30 PEOPLE ARE LISTENING TO MUSIC-I WOULD SAY WHEN THE BIG GAMES ARE ON I NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY GAME. THERE ARE SO MANY TV'S ANY ONE CAN SIT ON THE FLOOR AND LISTEN TO THE THEIR GAME-EVERYONE LIKES SITTING AT THE BAR IT GOES BACK TO THE OLD SAYING YOU CAN PLEASE SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME OF TIME AND YOU CAN PLEASE ALOT OF THE PEOPLE ALOT OF THE TIME BUT YOU CAN NEVER PLEASE ALL THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME. No Next Time This Time

Ok, I'm tired of giving this place second chances. The past few times I've been here have all shown the same pattern - total lack of service unless you sit at the bar, unfriendly - nay - belligerent staff, and loud music playing while all the TVs are muted. For this place to call itself a "Sports Bar" is false advertising.

My biggest pet peeve tho has to deal with the fact that every time I've stopped by to catch the Predators game, the staff refuses to acknowledge that the game is on TV. When I show them the TV schedule that clearly shows the game, they argue with me as if I'd had a fake schedule printed at Kinko's just to annoy them.

How they have managed to stay in business this long is beyond me. Do yourself a favor and avoid The Box Seat like the plague.

BTW, they only got a star because you have to give something and there are no negative numbers.

• Cons: Everything else. Can't complain about the service because they don't have any.

Sports Bar? No way

As far as the bar tenders go, they lack the basic skills required to serve a cold beer. Only a few have ever smiled. They are not nice, and what happened to this southern hospitality that I hear so much about? No way will you get that at this bar. You will be lucky to even get a cold beer. That?s on special occasions and only if you get there early. And, what?s up with the glasses? Drinking glasses for beer? If you can?t serve a pilsner glass or beer mug with every beer, how can you be a true bar?

To my point about this not being a sports bar...not even close. I?ve never been able to watch a complete football game without the music coming on or worse, the radio with commercials. Just when you get into a great game, a regular comes in screaming about music. Then, the nice, smoking hot bartenders, NOT, all the sudden smile and ask what do you want to hear. Really? The darn football game I?ve been watching for 2 hours. Are you kidding me? This is almost a regular occurrence. Well, it was until I finally found a real sports bar...USA Sports Bar in Mt. Juliet. Yes, it not close to home, but well worth the drive for a complete game and no music.

Trust me, I?m saving you frustration and heartache. Skip this place at all cost. By the way, I was one of those regulars, but IT?S FOOTBALL TIME IN TN. Leave the TV on sports and save the music for the club, or heck, stay in your car if you want to hear the radio.

ITs pretty good!

Is it a great bar? No. Is it a hole in the wall dive? No. Its just an average place with an above average beer selection where you can watch just about any sporting event. The TV Selection is awesome. Watching the Super Bowl this year on the projector was really awesome.

If you like a variety of beers this place has a freakishly huge selection for its locaion. Most of the other bars in the area dont come any where close to having this variety.

If your looking for fine dining go somwhere else. If you want good bar food this is the place. They have a great menue with a wide selection. I recommend the Cheese Steak YUMMY!

Overall its the best place in Hermitage when stacked next to places like The Double E or the abismal Its About time which are less than a block away. Give the place a chance, it will grow on ya. Regulars are made to feel like family and they are always looking for more friends.

PS if you like smoking hot bartenders... THIS IS YOUR PLACE

Missing a very key ingredient....

Good looking waitresses. Come on! This is a sports bar and your killing us here. It's a good place to watch a game but sports bars are filled with guys and we want to see decsent looking people that work there. Sorry, but that's how it is. I haven't been back and I know several others who feel the same way.
