Don't Trust Them!!!

FIRST PROBLEM** The first week we had our boat there the lift "broke". We could not get out boat out for 10 days! I called and talked to the owner, Barbara, to ask what type of compensation we would receive since we were unable to use our boat. Her response was, "Nothing, I mean, we are storing it aren't we?" They state they are a full service facility that offers Valet Parking for your boat. The last time I checked I could get my car back when I valeted it. SECOND PROBLEM** We inquired about an oil change in August and told Ryan, the Manager, that we would talk about it and let them know. Well, we came back the next Saturday, and to our surprise, they completed the oil change with no consent. Additionally, we took off the cover and there was OIL ALL OVER THE BACK SEATS OF OUR BOAT!!! I brought it up immediately and was told by Ryan that they would make it right. I told them that the seats needed to be reskinned as the oil had set for 5 days and will break down the vinyl over the life of the seats. Remember, our boat was only 6 weeks old at this point! Ryan agreed and said he would talk to the dealer about replacing them. The next week everything changed. They said they were going to have Dr. Vinyl come out and "fix" the seats. I made it clear that if I was not happy they needed to be replaced. Long story short, Dr. Vinyl came out 3 times, the vinyl that was painted, yes painted, on the seats wore off before the end of the summer, 5 weeks later, and they will not replace our seats. I have gone rounds with the owner, who now says that they did not have oil in our boat and that it is not their problem. Funny thing is that we paid for the oil change, with the assumption that they would replace the seats, and that they paid Dr. Vinyl to attempt to fix the seats, but she still says that they are not liable for the oil becasue they never admitted that it was their oil...... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
- Pros: Good Concept
- Cons: Poor customer service by management and owners, unethical, unwilling to help, long wait times, poor hours of operation

I'm new to boating in middle TN and haven't traveled to any lake other than Old Hickory (Cumberland River). I do understand the other lakes around are much nicer than OH; this review is solely written on the marina, not the lake itself.
We purchased our boat from someone who had it stored at the Boathouse. I wasn't familiar with the 'dry marina' concept, but I'm sold. It's housed in a warehouse until you call to use it. With 20 minutes notice it's dropped into the water, gassed, beer in the cooler, and whatever other service you request. The 'slip' cost is similar to a marina slip with one BIG exception: I don't have to pull my boat out in the winter and pay for dry dock.
The service at the boathouse is excepional. Ask for Carl.
