Rude and Unknowledgeable Managers

My bad experience with this spa started when I called to make a massage appointment. The receptionist who answered the phone knew absolutely nothing about massage therapy. She couldn't answer any of my questions. She treated me as though the questions I was asking were stupid. I asked her for her name but all she would tell me was she was a manager. I made the appointment regardless of her rudeness hoping my experience at the spa would make up for her. When I got there I was greeted by a girl named Jen. She must have been the person I talked to previously because she identified herself as a manager and was very rude. She acted like she didn't want to be there and was very cold. She never smiled once. If people like her are the type of people this establishment considers management material they should rethink the way they conduct business. After my massage I went back up to the front to pay and she continued to be very rude. Instead of asking me how my massage was she kept checking her cell phone and made me feel as though I was a inconvenience to her. The massage was great, but the lack of customer service completely ruined my experience.

Amy Sadler IS amazing

I found Amy as a new member to nashville. I naturally have always had very blonde hair but over the last few years it has become .....(I dread this word) "dirty blonde". As someone who is VERY critical of highlights and colors, or as I like to call them, skank stripes, I was very hesitant to try someone new. Amy made me feel at ease- she did exactly what I asked. I get compliments all the time on my hair- beautiful and natural highlights. She is a blonde and knows how to do a blonde. When my best friend flew in from DC to visit I even set her up with an appointment. Don't miss out

Rockin' Cut by Amy Sadler

After many, many years of bad cuts, I wandered to City Search for reviews on stylists and chose Amy at Elysium. Amy gave me an absolutely gorgeous cut. I have long hair and it flows so beautifully now. As soon as I left the salon, I called my mother. She has also been in the market for a new stylist. Mom has an appointment tomorrow.

I am so excited about this wonderful find in Nashville...AMY SADLER.

P.S. My husband loves my new haircut and if he wasn't bald, he would make an appointment too!

The Best Men's Stylist in Town!

Guy's (and girls), if you are looking for a great cut from someone that knows what they are doing, look no further! Wayne at Elysium is your man! Wayne has been cutting my hair for over five years and I have never been disappointed, not once. How many of you can honestly say that? How many times have you had someone totally distory your hair and your look? Wayne is a true pro' in the field and can handle whatever request you have for your hair. Not to mention he's a riot to talk with - there's no telling what new "tale" he will have for your next visit. Do yourself a favor and let Wayne style your hair, you will not regret it!

I'll share my secret...

Previously not given to splurging on myself, I was introduced to Wayne and the whole salon experience this past summer....I was immediately hooked! It was easy to discuss my thoughts about my hair with Wayne and get his suggestions about a cut to match my lifestyle. I depend on Wayne for my highlights and styling now, and followed him when he moved to Elysium. He finds a way to work around my crazy schedule. I like the fact that he shampoos my hair himself, and the offer of cold bottled water adds to the sense of being pampered. Sitting in Wayne's chair is a luxurious respite from my stressful day at work. Every time a friend or co-worker admires my hair, it reminds me that I get what I pay for, and this is well worth every penny spent. I never mind sharing my secret...I tell everyone to go see Wayne at Elysium.

Amy Sadler- my hair goddess!

If you are looking for a fun and talented stylist- especially for blondes- Elysium is the place and Amy is your stylist! I have been in Nashville for 8 years now and I have yet to find a salon that is comparable to the salons from my hometown of Miami- both in style and in talent. My hair was blonde up until about 5 years ago when it began to get very dark. I have tried several different hair colors, but have always felt most comfortable and the best as a blonde. The problem is, I haven't been able to find anyone to successfully transform my now medium brown/blonde hair to that glamorous, yet natural blonde that you see all the time in magazines and the way you picture it to be. I would either be brassy, tiger-striped, chunky, uneven, etc. I always gave the stylist a few chances and the benefit of the doubt to "get it right", but always found myself moving on to yet another salon. About 8 months ago I began going to Amy Sadler at Elan Salon and not only is she one of the friendlist and most down to earth stylists and people, she gave me the hair I have been searching for (and paying an arm and leg in the attempt) for years now! She is very talented and knows what she is doing, She spent time getting to know me and LISTENED to what I wanted. Even with the cut she did exactly what I was asking, but still gave me her expert opinion. After all, this is what they do for a living, so they should know. Amy has just joined Elysium and I have followed her and tell everyone about her. I feel great about myself and am always satifsfied when I leave. Best of all, I left with my dignity that I didn't spend my whole week's paycheck on my hair! She has VERY reasonable prices that I almost thought they were kidding! I have paid 4 times that much and hadn't gotten near what I asked for. I hope this helps you if you are reading it! BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH AMY!

Best hair colorist ever!

I'VE FOLLOWED AMY SADLER!! I started going to Amy Sadler ar Elan about 6 months ago. She always does such a beautiful job on my color. I've never had anyone get the most perfect color of blonde like her. Now everytime I meet someone new, especially if they are blonde, they all want to know who does my hair color! I have sent her at leat 6 new clients and they all love her. Her pricing is also VERY reasonable! I am definitely following her to Elysium.

butchered-my-face spa

i went to elysium spa Saturday for a brow wax. This was a very painful experience. She waxed above and below the brow at the same time. she giggled about being the speediest...

When I got home I washed off the gel and saw that I had a huge burn two inches across my eye crease. This was too low for a 'brow' wax. Then I noticed that one brow was shorter than the other!!!!

I know what to expect during a professional waxing and this was exceptionally poor.

Best Stylist in Town!!!

I've always been extremely protective of my hair as it is has always been my best feature and so I was very skiddish when I moved to town and had to find a new stylist. After several negative experiences at other salons, I went to Elysium on a friend's recommendation. He told me that I HAD to go see Chris and since my friend has the best hair of anyone I know, I assumed that he knew what he was talking about. And he was right!!!! The entire experience was incredible! Chris is immensely talented and does a great job of really making sure that he creates the look that you want and that you are completely satisfied with the experience. Whereas a lot of stylists can alter the cut, color, style to what they like, Chris focuses in on the client and makes sure that you leave with your own desired result. I am convinced that Chris is the very best that Nashville has to offer when it comes to getting a great new style or experimenting with color. I recommend him without reservation to everyone I know and always carry his business cards around with me when I'm stopped by people asking who does my hair. Beyond Chris' remarkable ability, the entire staff at Elysium are always friendly and accomodating. They make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. So if you are looking for a new salon, go to Elysium, experience the hair-cutting wonder that is Chris and make sure you take a stack of those business cards with you as you will be stopped on the street by folks dying to know who does your hair!!! :)
