Humm where to start-Lets go with what I do like.
Facilities and location - As far as getting to the studio and having available parking nothing can match that. Especially considering the usual mid-town Nashville conundrum of finding parking close to where you are going.
Let me preface the following with the fact that ive been to 5 different studios in different states and this is easily the worst for the following reasons:
Once you step inside this little pink themed cutesy girly studio you realize these ladies have some major control issues- that is signs everywhere: Put your shoes there, sign up over here, dont be too loud, and dont let me catch you sweating too much. Well once you go over the check list you take notice of the overpriced merchandise available and in case you forgot your mat and a drink be ready to fork over 8 or 9 bucks. Cha-Ching! And to top it off its 20 bucks a class for a newcomer or you could by monthly unlimited for $140. Cha-Ching! Well if you are hardcore you could lower that price to around 100 a month but you have to commit to a year. Cha-Ching! This place is def meant for women with cash.
If you are a guy like me you can go into the humbly sized changing room and do your business, im sure the girls have it worse off though. Once inside the studio, the temp is nice and hot (i do like) and you are smoothed by the warming budda music. Now set up your mat and wait for your femma-nazi instructor. Now out of all the instructors there are a few that actually sound like they care to be there but most of them just rattel on like a broken record every class with the same monotone cadence. One girl goes so fast it feels like im in a micro-machines commerical. Just let us have silence in the middle of a pose one time. I don't care to hear all you feelings about every pose. After having the owner Cassie teach class in these commanding tones it probs rubs off on the instructors The owner just doesnt get it and it shows.
- Pros: facilities, location
- Cons: attitudes, vibes, preachy instructors, prices, lack of positivity
The most positive experience anywhere in Nashville!

Where else can you always see smiling faces, lose weight, improve your sleeping, and always feel better when you leave than when you entered?
Whatever your goal or your level the owner and instructors at this studio are THE best, they work really hard, they keep the beautful facility clean and neat, they make you want to come back - or even stay for the next class. They really, really mean anyone can do this and they pay attention to each client. It's really very impressive in this day and age of horrible customer service and bad attitudes - if the world were full of good customer service and good attitudes, this place would still top my list of GREAT!
I am a former - very former - professional athlete who put on a lot of weight and could not work it off at the gym no matter what. I heard really good things about this place from many,. many different types of people and decided to try it out - and I was hooked. In two months I have lost more than 15 pounds, I have a less intense appetite, I sleep much better (a lifelong problem for me) and I am less stressed out period. I am not young (50ish), I was badly overweight, and I felt totally comfortable from the first day, in this place, and I have never heard a single negative word or felt anything negative at all at Hot Yoga Nashville, just being around so much positivity makes it worth going each day!
BRAVO Hot Yoga!
- Pros: Everything!
- Cons: None
Best Flex in the City!

If you are looking for a clean, high quality challenging but all level yoga experience, as a beginner or more advanced, go here. I joined a month ago, and have been almost every day. I look better, can handle stress better than ever before, am more efficient in my job and feel more peaceful in general.
My hat goes off to the owner and her wonderful team of angels!
I LOVE HOT YOGA NASVILLE!

I love this place! Never did yoga in my life (gym addictt). Went as a total beginner, with my friend, who has been taking classes from Cassie (the owner) and her staff for over 5 years. I was skeptical- all clases for all levels?- It is true, they are and he got what he needed and so did I, in the same class, each "honoring our l levels" as the teachers put it. I took from several different teachers over the past 10 days and really enjoyed the variety in the teachers because it exposed me to different things. I have gone and taken an class here, 10 days in a row! I have never done anything 10 days in a row before! I think I am going to do thier 30 day challenge. The studio is hot, but it does not smell and is very clean. They have great clothese and cool accessories and play really nice music. It is bright and cheery in decor and personality.
Everyone has to try this place at least once. I already lost 4 pounds, am sleeping better and made a few new friends at Hot Yoga. Be sure to call Cassie, the owner with any questions. She met with me for over an hour (free) answering all my questions and making me feel comfortable.
THANK YOU HOT YOGA NASHVILLE.
- Pros: teachers, location, parking, overall quality
- Cons: Need to have this studio in every city, run this way, with these heatfelt gals!
The first and best Hot Yoga studio in Nashville
by Michael098
Best, cleanest and most professional hot yoga experience in my 10 years of travels and doing this yoga. The schedule accomodates any working professional and the teachers are enthusiastic and personable and very knowledgeable. Rather than rattling off memorized dialogue like most of these studios, Hot Yoga presents real yoga- emphasizing breath, stillness and the quality of movement and finding peace- all this along with a challenging physical format. The studio has a bunch of new teachers, who excude positivity and it is a joy to see thier smiling faces at the reception. The owner, Cassie is a natural leader and if you can, make t to one of her classes or workhsops or set a private with her and you won;t be disappointed. I unerstand they have a summer and fall/winter schedule, llike most hot yoga studios and are smart in offfering trials to explore which times appeal to the students and find good matches, which I like. I recommend this studio to all ages and all levels or fitness and anyone looking for the stuff that matters.
- Pros: Cleanliness, quality of instruction, diversity of instructors
- Cons: Need to have this studio in every city, run this way, with these heatfelt gals!
Not so hot at Hot Yoga Nashville.

Bikram/Hot yoga is a wonderful and powerful kind of yoga. Followed as Bikram dictates it can be a soothing and life-balancing style of yoga. I am a student who has attended Bikram studios all over the country and can compare and contrast readily.
Hot Yoga Nashville has a great space - it's clean, there's lots of room and it's easy to park, etc. It's too bad that the owner, Cassie, can't keep staff around to keep the place balanced. She is an erratic woman and I can imagine, difficult to work for. The rotation of staff members is high and once a teacher gets trained and comfortable, she quits or gets fired. As a yoga student it's frustrating at best. Tone, cadence and friendly dialog are key skills for a good teacher. It takes time to gain those skills.
Because of the location, the studio caters to Vandy students. There are specials and discounts for all the kids being sent to a private university, most likely paid for by their parents. Class times revolve around student class schedules. What about the permanent Nashville residents? What about those of us who pay to attend year-round? Several year-round HYN students pay by the year - approximately $1200 - up front. Don't those students deserve, at the very least, workable class schedules during the summer considering we've already paid the studio for a particular schedule? The classes change constantly. For those people with children, jobs and families, it's annoying to have to reschedule because the owner seems to change her mind every 3 months or so as to when class times should be.
Yoga should be calming. HYN is clouded in drama amongst the teaches, some students and Cassie. It really is a shame as there have been several great teachers there (including Cassie, when she wants to be) including PJ (when Cassie isn't berating her), Amy, Katie, Ann, Julie, Kirsten, Chaye, Tabitha and Sandra.
I doubt things will change any time soon. It's an OK place. Just don't expect much teacher consistency or good karma.
- Pros: Parking, Space
- Cons: Ambience, Teacher Retention, Class Times

HOT YOGA NASHVILLE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. MY GIRL FRIEND AND I GO AS OFTEN AS WE CAN. WE LOVE ALL THE TEACHERS AND ESPECIALLY THE OWNERS, PJ AND CASSIE'S CLASSES. THE TEACHERS ARE COMPLETELY COMMITTED AND DEVOTED AND INSPIRING AND HUMBLE AND FUNNY AND THERE HAS NOT BEEN A SINGLE CLASS (150 SO FAR) THAT I HAVE NOT THOROUGHLY ENJOYED. THE LEVEL OF EACH CLASS SUITS FIRST TIMERS THROUGH PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES AND THIS IS THE REAL STUFF, THE STUFF THAT MATTERS AND THIS IS AMAZING YOGA, WITH AMAZING BENEFITS IN AN AMAZING STUDIO NASHVILLE IS BLESSED TO HAVE. HATS OF TO ALL AT HOT YOGA. EVERYONE HAS TO TRY THIS AT LEAST ONCE. THANK YOU HOT YOGA!

- Cons: NEED TO CLONE THE CODIRECTORS AND HAVE THEM OPEN 100 MORE JUST LIKE THIS
Best Yoga and Workout experience ever!!!
by shawnanddavid
This is by far the best Yoga and Workout experience I have had in Nashville. I felt like a champion after this class! I signed up for classes every week and can't wait to go back! It is a total body workout but also it strengthens and tones you instantly and sweating, as we know, is the only real way to lose weight and flush out your system! So I already feel stronger and healthier after one class- that's pretty amazing. I know this is going to change my life and my body quickly and I am more than ready and excited! Plus the location is SO convenient no matter where you're coming from! Staff is awesome, too!
- Pros: the workout and yoga experience here is like no other, its immediately effective!
- Cons: no cons!
Want to feel good??? Get ready!!

Hot yoga can leave you more relaxed and peaceful than any other activity you can do with your clothes on. The cartharthis you experience is second to none as toxins flush from your body and your muscles become pliable enough to stretch more than you ever imagined. I am not a fitness junkie or a yoga expert. I am someone who struggles to stay in shape and I just love this place. Highly recommended.
