Great party - good food

Let me sum this up and say that "DIS IS DA' SPOT"!!! Are you hungry come early get your grub on. Between 11-12 start to get your groove on. Something different in mind...this is it. The owners are cool, staff is great, the atmosphere is wonderful. Security is tight (definitely a plus in my book). Bring a friend, bring a crew, or meet some new peeps. If you want to dance no problem plenty of room to get your groove or your hustle on. Want to talk, the lounge is the place for it. Don't be intimidated newbies if everyone seems to know each other. You will know them too! See you there...
- Pros: Great spot
- Cons: parking in there lot may not work. after 12.
Surprisingly flavorful Caribbean food in south Nashville.

In Short
The Trinidadian owners went to great lengths trying to re-create the essence of the West Indies in a decidedly un-tropical location. Bright and erratic colors flavor the small dining room while Latin beats create a lively atmosphere. A covered porch offers the chance to enjoy your meal in the sun. The menu offers a taste of almost every Caribbean island: curries, jerks, stews and roti, a spicy chicken wrapped in a large thin pancake.
Caribbean hut is the bomb

the food is great I love the curry goat. Man Good stuff. I am from New York born, in Trinidad I miss home food. I so glad to know when I dont want to cook myself I can go to caribbean and get some good roti and curry. The club is also great. Good DJ and atmoasphere. Although the crown is a bit young for me. Friday nights are more to my liking.
- Pros: Food, dancing, ambiance
A Real West-Indian Restaurant

When I first moved to Nashville from Toronto, I found myself craving for some good ol Caribbean food; you know, curry goat roti, curry chicken w/ rice & peas, the whole nine. So I went to Calypso Hut and much to my disappointment, it wasn't AUTHENTIC. Just this year I heard about the Caribbean Hut and I wish I had heard about it much sooner. This restaurant is what West Indian food (Trini to be exact) is all about, people! For the newbie, I recommend the curry chicken w/ rice & peas, all else, the curry goat roti a de real ting.
